I installed Amazon underground on my phone yesterday, then the app shows up on my watch. That app is absolutely useless on the watch.
Anyone know how to get rid of an app on the watch but still keep on the phone? I'm aware I can block the app, but that doesn't take care of the problem.
(same goes for Paypal)
There is a paid app (Wear App Manager 1,19 EURO) that seems to be able to remove defined apps from the watch but not from the phone. Haven`t tested it but I could envision that this can cause issues with the app on the phone.
Then there is the App Manager for Android Wear that just lists the Apps on the watch. If you uninstall, it does it on phone and watch.
do you have a link?
the only Wear Manager in the play store here in the states only uninstalls the whole app (in phone) which therefore removes it from watch....
havent been able to find what OP wants... just an uninstall from the watch only.
I've found there's no way to install just on the phone. I'd like to take Google fit from the watch, since I like using moto body

Friends,
Got an unlocked ATT unit and side loaded unlocked Fire OS 4.6.3. Loaded Play Store according to the instructions on the forum. Everything seemed to be working well. Gmail, maps, and wallet all working great. But, my apps keep disappearing.
For example, I download Facebook from Play Store. Shows up where it should. Put it into a folder with my other social media apps. About a day later, the app disappears from the "device" side (removed from folder/no icon under device tab), shows up in the "cloud" side with a check in bottom right corner to show it's installed. From there, I can open and use the app. Play Store also shows the app installed.
Auto update is off in Amazon App Store. Any idea what's going on?

If you have an app from the Amazon app store on your device or in your Amazon cloud and you update or install the same app using the Google Play Store, the app may not work or the app may disappear from your device. To correct the problem, uninstall the app and delete the app from your Amazon cloud, then reinstall the app using the Google Play Store.

Thanks for the reply. The Play Store was installed right after I sideloaded 4.6.3., so there were no overlapping apps on the device. To "delete the app from [my] Amazon cloud" I toggled the cloud/device slider to "cloud," wrote a list of the apps I wanted to keep/install from play, then long-held and clicked "Remove from Cloud." At the time I clicked the Remove from Cloud option, no app had the check mark in the bottom right corner signifying that it was installed on my device.
Is there another method I should use to actually remove from cloud or get Amazon to forget that I ever installed the app on my device?
Update: I accessed my the app management page on Amazon from a laptop. It appears the effect of clicking "Remove from Cloud" from the device, is to "archive" the app, rather than actually delete it from one's Amazon account. From there, one can go to the app in the list--for my example, Facebook--follow "Actions">>>"Delete this app">>>"Delete">>>and a confirmation message "Facebook has been deleted from Your Apps." Will display. I will try this with my disappeared apps and report back.

Deleting the apps from your Amazon cloud should be enough. I have never had a problem with an app from Google after I deleted the app from my Amazon cloud. If you continue to have a problem with any of your Google apps that are archived on Amazon, then you should delete the archived app and see if that corrects the problem.
I can't find the option anywhere.
Can somebody please help me out?
You need to uninstall the app from your watch that loaded the app to your phone. As an example, I have a calculator app on my watch. To install it I had to download it to my phone and the app was pushed to my watch from the phone. To uninstall the calculator app from my watch I would need to uninstall the app from my phone and it will automatically be removed from the watch.
I thought i already tried that.
Hmm, I'll give it a try shortly.
Thankyou.
was trying to figure out the same thing... for example , i have the amazon app on my phone. how would i delete it from the watch but keep it on the phone?

I'm not aware of a way to delete an app from just the watch and have it stay on the phone. It may be possible if the watch is rooted, but I think after deleting the app from the watch it will just get pushed to the watch again the next time the apps sync. I'm hoping they add the ability to do this sometime as I also have a couple of apps that I'll never use on my watch but I do want them on my phone.
I just purchased the Smartwatch 3. I like the watch but have a problem. Not all of the wear apps are loading on the watch. For instance, I've downloaded Ghostracer, Runtastic and Endomondo and while they appear on my phone; they do not appear on the watch. However, other apps I have downloaded are on there and I can install new watch faces. Oddly enough Spotify and Skype are on the watch and I didn't attempt to put them on my watch. It seems to be hit or miss.
I sent an email to the manufacturer of one of the apps and they said it may be due to Google Play Services not being the most recent. I am currently on version 9.4.52.
Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem at the beginning of my adventure with SW3.
Google Play Services is too old.
Try force-updating it on your phone (use this link) or else just wait a couple hours, it should update itself both on phone and on the watch. Anyway AFAIK Android Wear app shows an information when Google Play Services are out of date but I'm not sure.
Or try force-syncing the apps in the watch settings in Android Wear app.
Or, as I've already told, just wait a couple of hours and make sure you have your watch paired and connected to the phone during that time
Or if nothing happens, try unpairing the watch. It will reset to the factory settings (you won't lose any data connected with the watch from your phone except the watch that was paired), pair the watch again and wait for the setup to complete, it will sync all the necessary apps with the phone.

Thanks for replying. You were right. I tapped on the version and it updated like 4 times during the night. When I woke all of the apps were on the watch.
So, with the recent update to Wear OS on my mobile phone I have found that I wasn't receiving notifications any more. I figured it was something to do with app referencing to the old Android wear instead of the newer Wear OS app on my phone. I reset my phone/watch and from that point it all went horribly wrong. I could no longer transfer apps to my watch (Strava, Keep, Spotify, etc) and notifications would not appear on my device.
THE FIX
1) Remove the Wear OS app from your phone and download Android Wear from UpToDown.com.
2) Download the most recently archived version (2.7.0.177669439) and install it (Enable Unknown sources in settings).
3) Open the Play Store app and go to "My Apps and Games" and find the "Wear OS" app update and open the app store page. Select the triple dot menu from the top right of the screen and uncheck "Enable auto-update".
4) Pair your phone and watch again, giving some time for all apps to sync and reinstall.
I've only just completed this myself and so far everything is starting to come back up on my watch like before. You may need to go into settings and tell the app to resync all apps to watch again, but hopefully this has fixed any issues people are having of late like I have been.
Happy trails!
Did you get constant FC messages?
Sent from my Sony Xperia XZ1 using XDA Labs
I wasn't getting any notifications on my watch. So I tried wiping my watch and setting it up again and found it would never sync apps back to the watch. So I rolled back to using Android wear which immediately fixed the issue of the apps not syncing. A positive side effect of doing so allowed me to get notifications again.
I did that and now I have notifications but apps don't syncing. During parring it hangs on ninth app and goes to the main screen. Resync all apps don't work
Same problem here, fresh install and my watch is missing almost all installed apps : keep is present bu not working, google map is missing, ...
Thanks worked for me....not using lates release seem to fix the issue
Doesn´t work for me. Android Wear app FC on XZ1 Compact.
my sony smartwatch 3 don't syncing my apps!!! I've factory-reset the watch and phone multiple times. I've cleared the cache for Google Play Service, Wear OS. Notifications (such as text messages) work just fine, but I don't see third party apps in the smartwatch
Hi, the reason is that new android apps have suppport for wear os 2.0 (wich has a kind of playstore for companion app installation) only, and dropped wear os 1.6 support.
I think you must install old apps for the time of the watch was available. I still have a SW3 and a G-Watch with Android 1.5 and I must keep often old app to have the app on the watch. Often, if I update the phone 3rd app this app stay on watch (not updated) but often continu to works on watch.
You must also force the "sync" in Wear advanced settings and more than one time I have the app installed on the watch only after 3 days........
yes...I have this problem too...
Update Google services play
Hi, I was on the same problem, you need to update your google play service up to the 20.xx versión, via usb, try the 15 second adb installer, download google play service (wear os) on apk mirror, use the install adb command
Hi, you can take a look here if you still didn't find a solution
