how can i update to 4.4.4
i don't have software update in sittings
Your S-Off. Do what I've done as long as you have a gsm vetsion. Change your MID to the international version, change CID to HTC__001 and run a ruu via zip for .exe. you'll get the updates then. Search the thread for how to do it. That's what I did.

I have a similar problem, even after rooting the phone, I am unable to update. And flashing custom roms does not work due to firmware issues.
I got this phone unlocked with super CID.
any help to update to any custom rom would be appreciated.

Please don't post the same question to multiple threads. You are already being helped in the "HELP THREAD".
Also, don't "zombie" threads that have been dead for almost 2 years.

I'm using a sprint m8 internationally on a permanent basis so at the very least I need a sim to work with a gsm network on the m8, tried to flash some radios (which failed). So... is there a way to purge everything 'sprint' from a htc one m8 ? Will an RUU do the trick (recommendations)?
Phone is s-off, unlocked, rooted etc. See below for the getvar dump. cid is 1's mid is dev. No luck on installing custom roms - still restricted to sprint variants.

You could convert it to the Developer Edition using the RUU and see if that works. If not, you can flash the Sprint RUU to go back to the beginning
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/development/ruu-m8-developer-edition-sense-1-54-t2884777 this one?
This one:

It's on that thread, but above is the direct link to HTCs server
" ERROR 155 The ROM Update utility cannot update your android phone. Please get the correct ROM Update Utility and try again" is what it shows....
So it appears something 'sprint' is blocking it. Although I suspected a full ROM,radio might work...
I just downloaded the new RUU from T-Mobile and was trying to install and everytime I get an error 155, the previous RUU 4.20 installs with no issue, I am currently S-off and relocked the bootloader, I have searched the web and can't seem to find any help...

I had the same issue. I got the 4.20.531.4 RUU to run no problem. I just took the OTA when I kept getting 155 error.
No clue... has anyone installed via RUU successfully?
Same problem. Any help?

I had the same issue and screwed around with it for hours trying to figure it out. Ended up flashing this firmware: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24369303960686131
then rerunning the RUU. Went through fine. Not saying it will work for you, but it worked for me.
I'm stock 5.0.2 with S-On and have never been rooted or unlocked the bootloader (my mother in laws phone) and I get this same error 155 when trying to use the RUU for Marshmallow that I downloaded from HTC. I think the problem is because the OTA that pops up is to prep for Marshmallow but after it installs and reboots it soft bricks the phone and I have to do a factory reset from the bootloader which causes the OTA to never finish so I'm screwed, any ideas?

Flash signed firmware 6.20.531.5 from here (instruction on how to flash at the bottom of the post), then RUU.
The post before yours has it right. But the unsigned firmware linked in that post will only work with s-off. The signed firmware I linked to will work with s-on.
Thank you so much, I'll try that!

I flashed the signed 6.20.531.5 following the instructions from the link and then used the MM RUU again and it finally worked! Thanks so much!
Thanks a lot, it's worked for my HTC One M8.
:good:
I flashed the signed firmware and it worked thank you SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!

My question is: Is it possible to Downgrade my Marshmallow Rom (Original with Sense7) to an Older version [HTC_M8_UL_K44_SENSE60_SECURITY_HTC_Europe_1.12.401.17_Radio_1.14.2133156.UA24G_20.18h.4096.03L_release_356030_signed] (in my opinion if older it is better!), I tried to flash the 4.4 KK, but both with Ruu.exe and Ruu.zip gave me many errors (Error 41 when .zip and The process is stopped at step 0/7 when .exe), can someone suggest me something please? :'(
P.S.: Sorry because I'm a Noob and not so good at English...
Thanks in Advance Guys!!!
"Older is better" is not really a reason. Missing numerous critical security updates, performance improvement, and a lot of other reasons would say you are incorrect with that statement. Unless you have a very specific reason to install a 2-year old OS version, its most likely a bad idea.
Error 41 is wrong MID. My guess is you got that error flashing an RUU different from the one you stated.
In any case, you need to flash the matching (KK) firmware before you can downgrade by RUU from anything before MM (that goes for LP as well).
Hi,i've been having update problems last 2 days and im confused.Every time i click restart & install button in update section it brings phone to recovery and starts installing update, but suddenly it requires phone to have root access. Is there any way to fix that without rooting? well this getvar result is not right or you have missed some thing
have you convert the device from sense to GPE ?
product : m8_ul is unlocked ( sense based )
GPE product is : m8_ul_ca
version main & cidnum are belong to GPE device
modelid is belong to sense device ( T-Mobile US )
you may need to clean up this mess then update your device

it depends on your choice ( sense or GPE )
the easier is GPE only need to change the modelid go to this thread to change it ( choose google play mid )
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708581
then do update
or if you need to back to sense you need to go to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2733523
and follow the steps but replace the firmware in thread with most recent one from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/tutorial-how-to-stock-stock-twrp-t3086860
choose the one that match your modelid
or here it's direct link
https://mega.nz/#!yIhBTRKJ!5rZldUEzCaFqYUhomn4mO_IgA_-nW6-gV9HX5LCzT5Y
after that you will need to flash rom, restore backup or flash RUU from htc here is direct link
http://dl3.htc.com/application/RUU_M8_UL_M60_SENSE70_MR_TMOUS_6.20.531.5.exe
Edit:- it's recommended to back to sense as you can flash GPE based rom on sense firmware but you can't flash sense based rom on GPE firmware it's your choice

The problem is, i dont have Wifi, everytime an error occurs (Failed to load drivers). With SunShine i need a working internet connection, which i dont have. And at the Android 5 Stock ROM i dont even have Mobile internet.

i believe your wifi issue is because you have an outdated firmware ( kitkat ) i think
so you need to flash the latest firmware ( marshmallow ) then flash the latest twrp ( 3.0.2-0 ) and flash your rom or restore stock backup ( 6.12.114.4 )
then you can achieve s-off ( if you need it for something else )
Here is the links
signed firmware 6.12.114.4
