Hello,
All Russians can follow this link: http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=456699&view=findpost&p=21639622 with guides in russian.
Since I found here on XDA my kernel taken from russian forum I decided to open this thread.
For those who need classic root on I9500 (SER) I have built the kernel with root and hereafter 3 files attached for you:
1. Kernel (insecure) with root (SuperSU, busybox). (boot.img.tar). Kernel (zImage) is not modified.
2. Recovery (recovery_exp.tar) from cofface.
3. Stock kernel (Kernel_XXUADMK.tar)
How to obtain the root:
1. Flash boot.img.tar via Odin as PDA
2. Reboot, then start SuperSU. It will ask to update binary. Tap "yes". That's all. You have a root access.
3. If you need fresher version of SuperSU, you may always update it via GooglePlay then update binary via SuperSU.
4. Then, if you need modified recovery, you may flash recovery_exp.tar (via Odin as PDA) or another suitable recovery.
5. If you need OTA, Kies update etc you may keep root with official kernel. In this case you don't flash the recovery and after step #3 you flash the stock kernel back. It removes "Custom" status.

P.S. boot.img.tar is not the latest build of russian XXUAMDK kernel. latest XXUAMDK has restrictive SELinux and cannot be rooted in that way.

UPD: pit file taken from russian I9500 (same as Indian one) View attachment I9500_RU.tar - this is not a tarball archive. Just change .tar extension on .pit
UPD: XXUAMDK Kernel with root (based on Samsung Update 1). busybox, su, superuser, SELinux disabled, exFAT.

Thanks for the root! Can you please post stock Kernel for i9500XXUAMDE....I've rooted previously using cofface method, and now not gettnig OTA updates. Software update says "Your device has been modified. Software updates are not available". Is there a way I can fool Samsung servers and start getting OTA updates.

Thanks Ivan. Does flashing the stock kernel back remove the 'Custom' status, the boot screen with the lock icon?

Russian XXUAMDE kernel is not available as boot.img yet. I guess you may flash MDK instead or wait for a while.

Yes, it does. Status becomes "Official". At least here in Russia

When it's safe and fully ready, i hate making place holders with unsafe and useless stuff.
I'm still on vacation for few more days, trying to enjoy the stock rooted FW .

That's not my recovery so I cannot guarantee its work on any firmware. Just try again to reboot into recovery mode or try to find another or newest one.

UPD: Stock kernel XXUAMDE has been added.

Who knows... Just try if you have rescue firmware. It's more or less safe.

Latest kernel with root
Hi there
I was looking for a way to disable SELinux. On running kernel it's seemed to be impossible. So made for all of us the kernel based on Samsung Update 1 and XXUAMDK (latest). Inside: Latest drivers, Latest su, SuperSU, busybox, AutoRoot. SELinux: disabled.
Just flash and have a nice root!

Hey guys,
here is the KDZ for D80220D 32GB (European Open Model) with confirmed fix for sound issues and with support for Knock Code
Can someone use this ? Cannot install this since i use root and TWRP.
Might be trying tonight to make a ROM out of it, but don't get Your hopes up, never did that before

Intalled zip EURO OPEN and working
I've just made a zip file from the EURO OPEN KDZ from wimmme's link from the op , and it's working with philz recovery.
Uploading at this moment to mega
What i did ...
On my D802 phone i had open euro KK 20C version installed with root and TWRP recovery
I installed philz touch recovery Philz recovery for D802 (thanks to Prabu33) . I did this because my first test was not working with an other file I made , and i was thinking TWRP was the problem.
So try your own recovery first !
In philz recovery i did "wipe data/factory reset" > "clean to install a new rom"
Installed my zip.
Installed supersu update 1.93 Supersu (thanks to Chainfire)
Reboot system
All is working fine here ,and at this moment I'm busy with reinstalling all my apps
Link to my zip will follow in a moment
So to be clear ... I've ended up with a rooted EURO OPEN d80220D rom and with philz recovery and with knock code

It is a stock rom so You have to root it again. Just download the newest supersu from chainfire. You don't need to go back as long you have a open recovery like twrp.

Hope so. Still waiting for the link. I'm on 20c and root isn't that easy to install. (it's the linuxSE kernel which makes it really difficult)
I had to install supersu then go into supersu settings and disable and reenable it. That way it worked for me. Some have no problems with supersu.
If you're not sure you have to wait for chupa with a little modiefied kernel.
Will tell more after trying it out.

Root problems
1. after flashing rom in recovery i have question ,,you don't have root. install root?" i must install or reboot without root?
2. system is starting
3. reboot, and i flash supersu 2.37 in recovery and i must ,,wipe dalvik/cache" or not?

20D is an update (also 20C) and solves view minor bugs.

Try a 20d kernel with init.id. ootherwise it is kind of luck if it is working or not

I have many problems using this rom.
1. Not working to Take pictures with recognition of hand.
2. Camera Takes pictures automaticly.
3. Music Player stops suddenly.
4. It has more lags than v20a (polish)
To sum up. I really prefer v20a than this v20d. Now there is another version for spain v20c so I will test it. Good luck.

Everythings fine except my sim card cannot be detected so i cannot use my sim card ..

for N750 users, install the ROM, reboot, complete the first setup wizard and then install the attached file via recovery and see what appens...
i dont have N750 variant in my hands so cannot test anything, i'm sorry

because for some apps its extremely hard to port from 4.4.4 to 4.4.2

hello shifu, unfortunately I can not install your rom in my N3N. I have the phone rooted with CF and TWRP recovery image. I follow to the letter the instructions of wipe and flash the rom from TWRP recovery. It is now the third time that I try but when you restart the N3N gives me an series of errors "module arrested" and N3N crashes. Reloading with odin the stock rom and n3n starts again. Where am I wrong? I have also tried to flash rom with flashify app but its the same crash. Thanks for the replay.

i personally use CWM...
edit - maybe stupid question: are you on stock kk version? if no you must upgrade to 4.4 before install this ROM

[CM13] Installing SuperSU through TWRP - Stuck on boot

Hello guys,
I have the GT-I9195 running build 13.0-20160124 (latest). I've searched around for ages looking for a fix or correct version of SuperSU beta to install but to no avail. It just stays on the CM boot screen forever. I've tried versions 2.49, 2.51 and 2.64. Is there a version which works on the S4 mini?
Also, I know there is an inbuilt root manager for CM13 but many apps still do not work when granted access through it.
