I have an LG G4 from Kroger-iwireless. Although it is the LS991 and (AFAIK) I'm on Sprint's towers/network , am I OK to root? What if I needed to return to stock, does anyone know how the stock software from iwireless vs. Sprint differs, if at all? Thanks!
Use root injection method and keep an unchanged file.

Hey guys, I search for as screen recording app FOR NON ROOTED PHONE can anyone help me?

You must have root to do that, as far as I can tell (unless you want to use a computer to do the actual recording)

You could try setting up a VNC server to control the phone remotely, then use a separate software to record the program's display
I haven't tried it or anything but this seems like it could also work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtB36BTllwY

If you want to root you can downgrade (to .62 or .42) or boot for example:
1. doomkernel which root your phone
2. Recovery and flash rootzip (look for it on the forum or i can upload it for you later if you want)
and than you can use record app
Of course for both you need unlocked bootloader

Hi guys and gals,
Do you think one could get CMx working on this phone with LB, since some guys managed to do this for Xperia P/sola/U/go or is it impossible due to completely different mainboards?
Gesendet von meinem Sony Xperia™ S mit Tapatalk 4
Yes
And how?
Gesendet von meinem LT26i mit Tapatalk 4 Beta
We have great devs for Xperia s like letama or rayman fx. If it would be possible I think we would have it.
That's true, but don't you think they focus on more important things like AOSP or CM10.1(for UB ofc)? @letama, what do you think?
Gesendet von meinem LT26i mit Tapatalk 4
It can be done, a lot of devices do that. But as we can unlock bootloaders, devs use that in their favor, is harder to port aosp instead of building aosp. An example is all the phones from motorola that came before the atrix. All have locked bootloader, runs cm(some even have official support ).

That's what I think too. Do you know how to do this?
Gesendet von meinem LT26i mit Tapatalk 4 Beta
Sure.
Just find a way to extract the correct payload from our bootloader and we can flash a Justin Bieber MP3 on it, hard brick it, do fancy things and stuff.
1. Fact: CM on locked bootloaders is possible. But not for our device (we always need custom kernels).
Other devices (e.g. my TF101) could aswell use their stock kernel with CM and hijack (or extend in this case) the ramdisk using init.d scripts etc.
2. Fact: The only chance for locked Xperia S' is to 'crack' the locked bootloaders, meaning what I said above, extracting the payload, invlolving brute force attacks galore, and much, MUCH time I am not willing to spend on it (neither anyone else I guess). Extracting and decrypting the bootloader key is possible, but very complicated and difficult. Oh and there's a good chance of hardbricked devices before we can work out the correct way to inject the key during bootloader loading.

Yup. That would be very difficult on our devices. Completely agree with you. Once I read I thread that a guy is offering $100 to one to crack it to flash custom kernel on our devices. But no one is willing to do. So I think no one is willing to spend their time with this now. The best way is to unlock the bootloader to do this (I guess)
Hello forum friends.
I just receive my P6 S. A friend from Huawei imported it directly from China. How can I extract the original Recovery image? I need a backup before trying other ROM options.
Getting root with e-root application was simple, fast and flawless.
This new version is awesome so far it seems that the new version includes all the HW enhancements that were needed. It now works perfectly, no more overheating, faster and newer CPU. My version has dual SIM support, one is 3G up to HSPA+ and the other one is just for 2G. It includes a USB cable that you can use to connect an external USB hard drive or USB stick.
From SW perspective, it came with Android 4.2.2 JB, kernel 3.0.8, stock ROM was B127 with EMUI 2.0. As soon as I connected the device to the Internet it did an OTA update to version B128. Google Apps support is not complete, you can install Google play store from the included app store and use your Google account but it won't synchronize your contacts into the stock contacts app.
Do you have an UPDATE.APP ?

No I don't.
The phone is available for China. I can't access Huawei's chinese Web site from my country to download it.
If someone could access the Chinese Web side and post the stock ROM in this forum I would have the UPDATE.APP file.

There is a tool, called UPDATE.APP extracter, you can extract recovery and all other partitions with it.

how apply e-root ?
Hey, My question is since we know marshmallow requires an unlocked bootloader for the boot img can users with root access change the img while inside android. This may be extremely silly however I am not sure if it is possible. Also is the bootloader unlock/lock status kept in a file or somewhere where we can access it with root, if so could that file be modified.
Why would marshmallow require an unlocked bootloader? And no, it is not in a file somewhere...
MM requires unlocked bootloader for root.

yes yes....every members with some good knowledges have unsucess because good encryption of LG and unknown parts...
theses threads with the bounty and this new other on "questions&troubleshouting" have very hard strongs problems, totaly impossible to solve... ( i congratulate and thank them to try ! fabulous ! )
but for root ,maybe by making a modified/rooted MM kdz ???? because we can root a LP with this loked bootloader ....and we can flash all of the firmware with lgup (kernel,system...)...
I don't know ...if it's so easy as that ,the solution would already exist...
I have LG G4 international with 6.0 marshmallow. Can i root it without losing warranty?
I've been reading a lot but the posts usually are old.
Thanks! <3
Sorry for dumb question <3<3<3<3
I don't think there's root for MM yet, since that'd need a custom boot.img. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Kingroot works, but you lose warranty,at least on my Verizon lg4
