I bricked One x International endeavor with new BigTwrp for new partitioning layout and installed ROM with new partition support. But it only started rebooting with recovery image showing for second than rebooting again. I installed older TWRP without new partition but its still rebooting and not entering recovery.
I tried to revert it. But when i flashed latest Clockwork recovery and when i choose install zip it gives me message that it cant find /sdcard/
fastboot fives me info that i have 4.18.401.2. Problem is that there is no 4.18.401.2 RUU. Is it safe for me to flash older RUU just to fix things.

Hello,
Well, I was trying to install some new kernels but somehow my phone went into Boot Loop.
After that, I accidentally formatted my system and system memory. End Result: Their is nothing in my SD Card Right now.
I have searched in this forum and others for 2 days and still can not find a proper solution. Now, my laptop and computer does not recognize my device through adb device. I tried to insall stock rom through RUU but it gave an Boot Loader Version Error. However, I managed to install philz recovery and tried to mount memory but still no luck, I can not push files through adb as it can not recognize my device.
My CID is 02_001. I downloaded the matched CID RUU (RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_O2_UK_1.26.206.2_Radio_1.1204.90.13_release_251230_signed) but it didnt work. My image number of the phone (I dont know what is this actually) is like 4.xxxx and the image number of the RUU is 1.xxxx.
The HBOOT version is 1.72 S ON.
Can someone by someway, please give me the link of UPDATED RUU so that I can flash to stock rom or just help me to find a way to transfer custom rom to my phone memory so that I can flash a custom rom.
I was using VIPERX ROM 4.1.1,as the phone was draining alot of battery so over efficiently I tried to FLASH BRICKED KERNEL.
NOW I AM STUCK, HELPLESS and after losing the battle I am posting this thread.
PLEASE HELP ME WITH A SUITABLE ANSWER.
I would prefer to install stock rom but it wont work I guess because of the updated HBOOT version.

ok wich hboot and wich recovery you flashed first time, now you are with the stock one.
1. Unlock bootloader and flash THIS recovery
take the recovery.img from zip paste it in your fastboot folder and flash it with the command fastboot flash recovery recovery.img then go in recovery and charge the phone
2. Do you have some rom on your sd card?
3. Wich CWM version?
Edit if your AICP rom is still on sd card flash THIS RECOVERY then install the rom and flash the boot.img.
I think you tryed with the old recovery to install KitKat or LP rom big mistake

Why you not install some sense for first time or try to flash some CM12 or lolipop. Remember Philz 5.15.9 is only for JB roms and mount sd card work only on 5.15.9. If you want KitKat or Lolipop you must to change the recovery to this where I give you in my post, but dont forget to copy the rom to sd card with this recovery first., or easy way download some sense and flash it
Say wich rom you want to flash and I will give you the right link for rom

You are very kind when flashing a rom, do I remove the boot.img from the rom file to flash via fastboot, or do i just make a copy of it? I would like to flash cm 10.2 to begin with, which files do i need and which recovery? thank you in advance, you are a great help!
Also, my phone only came with 1.5gb free space for apps... It is a 32gb phone and i have 25gb of storage left but it says only 1.5gb out of 6gb for apps, how do i unlimit this?

10.2 is too old but it is your decision. just extract the boot.img from zip and put it in your fastboot folder. Don't extract the hole zip, and copy the original zip on your sd card. You can move the apps to your sd card CM support it
Well I want an aosp rom that means i can stick to the same recovery. It seems easier to stick to JB, would that be okay? Could you find me the relevant files?
I basically want the easiest one to install and the most risk free!

Hi, You'll need to run this RUU here. It repairs mount/partition/system problems:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-htc-one/help/exe-ruu-vzw-m7-4-4-3-s-users-t2919442
After running, do a factory reset, then it is 100% stock and everything will be working.
Hello All
I am the textbook Long-Time-Lurker First-Time-Poster. I apologise for some very clueless questions, but I am largely self-taught when it comes to ROM flashing etc on Android.
I have a Taiwan HTC 10 (currently with software version 1.55.709.5). I have flashed TWRP recovery and SuperSU Free 2.72. I have backed up the System and the Sytem Image (two separate backups) on to my external sdCard (I think I should have done that prior to flashing the SuperSU - my bad I guess).
I now want to revert back to stock recovery so I can recieve the new 1.80.709.1 update and so I know how to do this in the future. Because I have the Taiwan version there is no RUU for me to be able to easily flash back to stock, so I think I have to flash both the TWRP Backup and the Stock Recovery for 1.55.709.5 from the Stock Collection page. I assume that I would do it in this order:
1. Flash the TWRP Backup first using the standard method in TWRP and perform the standard TWRP wipes. I assume that I should also let the phone do a full system reboot before going to the next step.
2. Then I would flash the Stock Recovery - but I am not totally sure how to do this. Is there a method to do it using TWRP itself or should I do it from fastboot using the command "fastboot flash recovery 1.55.709.5_rec.img"? Is there something else I will have to do after that (e.g. wiping caches) and, if so, how do I do that?
Am I correct in my thinking?
To explain my cluelessness I have come from using Galaxy devices for the past few years where I just wanted to get away from TouchWiz as fast as possible - so I have never reverted a device back to stock. I also have used ClockworkMod as my recovery (because it was what I learnt with my Nexus One back in the day).
I thank you in advance for your help, and if you need me to post other information about my phone, please remember I may be tardy in replying due to timezones - I am in New Zealand.
Restore your stock system image and boot if you made one before modifying sytem. If not grab the one in the stock thread for your phone. Then boot to download mode and flash stock recovery with fastboot. Reboot to system and take ota
Sent from my HTC 10 using XDA-Developers mobile app
No need to wipe anything.
Just restore System img (already SU? Then Download one from the other Thread here on xda) and you can also restore recovery in TWRP simply Switch to img files instead of zip at the bottom of installing files.
All in one go, Reboot system take OTA and fastboot Flash twrp again.
If you Flash Systemless SU in the future you can still take OTAs
Thank you both for your help. I have been able to restore back to stock pretty much following your suggestions. For others who may be in the situation as I here are the steps I went through:
1. I "system image" backed up my setup - just in case.
2. using TWRP, I flashed the stock image for current software (1.55.709.15) from the [STOCK] Guides and Stock Backups/Recovery/OTA/RUU thread.
3. I had to do the standard three wipes in TWRP to get it back to stock as well - this was the only way that I could get rid of the SuperSU app and I had to go through the first-time-starting setup again. This made me confident that I was back to a pure stock installation.
4. I booted into download mode and used fastboot to flash the stock recovery for 1.55.709.15 (from the same thread as above).
5. Restarted the system and from there downloaded and installed the update - and after 10-15 minutes it successfully rebooted and gave me the message that it had worked.
Thanks again.

Yes that is my CID, and yes I have updated. Did you change your recovery or system? Because that is what I did, and the process I describe above is how I got it back to stock so I could get the latest OTA update.
Hello,
I've a Taiwanese HTC 10 converted to USA (CID and MID) and flashed with official Nougat RUU. It's working quite good however I wanted to return it to default Taiwanese version and I couldn't.
What I had done:
1) Flashed latest version of TWRP
2) I changed CID and MID to default settings
3) I restored the backup of Taiwanese version downloaded from a thread here using TWRP.
4) I restored original recovery downloaded from a thread here
Following these steps my phone was unable to boot again and a boot loop occurred. To fix the phone I changed CID and MID to USA and thankfully the RUU restored my device to a working state.
I think I'm missing some procedure in TWRP. I only restored a backup using TWRP. It took about a minute or less to complete "successfully".
Do I need to do an extra procedure? Apparently the phone never recognized the Taiwanese version as in download mode the device shown the version of USA ROM even with the backup restored using TWRP.
I'm s-off (Sunshine) with bootloader locked. I think this shouldn't affect as TWRP installed properly and I'm s-off.
Thank you.

Hi guys I got bootloop in my moto g5. First I got "failed to mount /data", now the phone boots in unlocked warning screen then says "erasing" then reboots and start over again.
Before the procedure my actions was:
- I got OTA update
- inserted a microSD
- unlocked bootloader
- boot on TWRP 3.1.0
- backup to microSD
-install TWRP
as shown by bootloader screen, my model is "cedric XT1672 32GB P5", M8937_8000.122.02.45R CEDRIC_BRAZILDSDS_CUST.
What I don't understand is why TWRP don't restore, as a made a backup before the procedure.
I appreciate if somebody could help me out!
I had the same problem. Wiping /data corrupted my partition table or system partition.
You need to flash the system and / or the partition table via fastboot from the extracted stock rom (see the other thread arround here, make sure you use the right link (cedric, not the potter one)
-> boot to fastboot
fastboot flash system system.sparsechunk.0
fastboot flash system system.sparsechunk.1
...
It should boot normally afterwards, but probably twrp is gone / twrp has no access to your /data again. See the twrp thread, i'm facing the same issue. But at least the phone works again - without root
Greetings,
Chris
-> boot to fastboot
fastboot flash system system.sparsechunk.0
