My watch just downloaded an update and is flashing now. No idea what this is. Will post back when it reboots. This isn't a new watch either, have had my watch for months now. Hope this is the expected August update!!

Can someone please test the weather app, it just says "weather data can not downloaded - check your internet connection" (translated from german)
Any settings I can do there ? I tried bluetooth connection via Nexus 5 and WIFI - both do not work with weather app...
Versions are:
AW: 1.3.0.2160025
PlayServices: 7.8.99 (2134222-543)
System 5.1.1
BuildNr: LCA43
There is also a new watch face called together let's you message other watches I think fails to load for me. Might have to do a factory reset. Also noticed the round corners don't show on everything just some watch faces and apps, also weather isn't working for me.
You didn't manage to pull the OTA did you?
Aside from the faces, given that this is a new firmware, i am VERY interested in seeing if the battery bug has been addressed yet...
How can I STOP this update.? I dont want anything changing on my SW3!
If ya have the option to update and haven't rebooted yet you should try to pull it for the rest of us. To answer your question though you should just be able to swipe it away and keep doing that if you don't want to update.

While we wait and hope somebody grabs the link/file, can i ask why you feel so strongly? Given that any time you have to unpair the watch (reset phone, switch phones, etc) you HAVE to factory reset the phone in order for it to connect again. Its not like there is any user data to preserver, so i am curious about what you don't want changed...
Got the update! Had to reset 5 times. Factory reset the watch, forget the watch in the Wear app settings, and clear data of the Wear app in Settings>Apps.

Did you let it sync apps each time? Or interrupt that while it was syncing apps and check for an update, and then factory reset again?

Nothing really is known. It's possible theres only bug fixes and maybe battery life? There's no apk teardown yet.
EDIT: This is what I found with my google-fu..
The Android Wear 1.0.2 update comes as a preparatory step for version 2.0 and it adds about 3 MB to the APK file size. The most significant change in Android Wear 1.0.2 is an updated Google Play Services for Wearables, which turns version 5.0.91 into 6.1.11. The update could also affect the battery life of most smartwatches, as well as bring a personal unlocking feature.
My app automatically updated to this version yesterday morning via Google play. It screwed up replying to texts and emails via voice. Probably a few other things.

It appears to have been resolved. It didn't work all day yesterday, and there were lot's of reports on here and Google Play. Perhaps it was a server-side issue. Either way, I'm glad it's working again.

I had less issues today regarding facer. Which is good.
After installing it yesterday, upon charging it after a rather full day of use, the watch didn't top off to 100% like it normally did prior to the update. Meaning, the battery took a bit longer to charge fully. Just an observation.
Hello, all!
I was just wondering if anyone else is still waiting on the 5.0.1 update for their Moto 360? I have been anxiously awaiting the update on mine and have yet to receive it. I have been checking like mad manually via the phone, but it just keeps telling me that it is up to date . There are some items in the new update that I am really wanting to take advantage of. I was just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat. Thanks in advance.
Yup same here. I check every few hours via the 360 About screen and still nothing.
I'm still waiting. I have tried everything and have just given up.
Nada.
Same here, no luck
I've received the update on my OPO but my watch is exactly like it was before the update. Is there an additional step I'm leaving out?
There is a post with the update file but as I don't have the cable to connect I can't manually update it.
Is there any way to send this file to my phone to the android wear update cache so it can upload automatically to Moto 360?
I'm in the same boat. No update for anything. Tried the tricks but nothing. Anxiously waiting and keep checking. Frustrating

Still waiting too. It's annoying to have to reset your watch multiple times, uninstall apps, clear caches, and whatever else just to get it. That's not something I'm not willing to do anymore after the last update.

Well...I guess it is somewhat of a relief to know that I am not the only person waiting. I am just not understanding why it is taking so long to get the update pushed out to everyone. I certainly do not want to go the path of making a cable and modifying the watch to get it to work. I guess I will just have to wait, but it is frustrating . Thank you to all that have replied. Here's to hoping we all receive the update, soon!!!
I haven't received the update either. But seeing as so many others have not as well, I won't panic. I'm sure it will be available soon enough.
Seriously guys, don't waste valuable time resetting, clearing data etc. That does not work. It's just pure coincidence. This who claim it worked for them, in all likelihood it was just due for them.
Yeah I'm in the same boat. Sucks because I was usually one of the first to get updates on this
Still waiting here too... btw, is it just me or is that "system update" button in the 360's settings menu just there for show? I mean it doesn't even bother checking for updates when you press it, it just says instantly you're on the latest software. I even disabled all the data connections and checked for updates, it did exactly the same. Someone's having a laugh with that.
No update for me too
But today my android wear app update to 1.0.5 and still no 360 update.
I'm a little confusing because on the 360 says my android wear version is 1.0.1.15...and play services 6.5.90
Don't have it either. I hate staged roll outs ?
Yup.
Same here, no update yet.
Glad to see I'm not alone!
On my watch
Android version is 1.0.1.1526154
Google Play Service 6.1.74 (1511752-534)
On phone

Updated last night. Phone got pretty hot. I was having a kind of increased battery drain since 5.0, but this seems to have taken care of it, as far as I can tell from just this morning.
To those who are experiencing the hotter than normal phones, are you using the supplied Fast Charger?
Mine is dead after charging overnight. When I picked it up this morning it was very hot, but couldn't get any response out of it. Taking it to a ATT Device Support Center to try and get a warranty replacement. This was the first time I had charged my phone after installing the update yesterday afternoon.
Maybe a chance the small update screwed with the fast charging somehow?
These updates are becoming more and more of a headache. I really wish they would stop just shoving these things out here before being throughly tested. And if they don't, at least they could unlock the bootloader. I'd take it from there.
I actually haven't had too much of an issue. Android system seems to be taking up less battery than before which is nice. Just to make sure I did a factory reset, cleared cache and installed everything fresh. So far battery life seems the same as before.
My battery life is better but won't know for sure until several days. I see android system taking way less %, actually android also.

Can someone test the call forwarding settings?
Phone app > Settings > more settings > call forwarding
I'm interested in seeing if the 'SIM or network error' is still happening after that update. I updated to the 5.0.1 and it broke forwarding, and thus my gear S...so I rolled back to kitkat last night and it's happy again.

Happened once when going from KK to Lollipop. It eventually came back a week later.
Google has updated the Android Wear APK which makes it POSSIBLE to connect our Moto360 via WiFi.
http://motorola-blog.blogspot.ae/2015/04/moto-360-its-time-for-update.html?m=1
HOWEVER: as of 5/14/15 we are STILL WAITING for Motorola to roll out the FIRMWARE UPDATE to our Moto360 Watch.
So in summary:
This Thread is currently waiting for MOTOROLA to get their act together with the FIRMWARE update.
[Please direct complaints to Motorola not this thread]
Now we need Motorola to send their FIRMWARE UPDATE!
Let's see if we can "Encourge" them to roll the firmware update out!

Wi-Fi Will be enabled when the Moto 360 gets the firmware update to Android Wear 5.1 which is rolling out over the next "few" weeks. the Android wear app on the phone has already been updated to support Wifi but the watch needs the firmware to enable the Wi-Fi chip that is currently disabled on the Moto 360
Problems after installing latest version of Android Wear
Since the new update my Moto360 doesn't Conntect to my S5 and the following message pop up "Google Play Services stopped" and "process com.google.process.gapps stopped". Not even a factory reset helped! It looks like there are still some bugs :-/
I manually installed the update and it constantly crashed as above. Lots of 'android wear has stopped'. I'll wait for official app push and see if it still occurs whilst awaiting the watch firmware update
https://plus.google.com/+WaynePiekarski/posts/2unJBySoqn2
Just to let you all know, the latest version of Android Wear is going to start rolling out via an over-the-air (OTA) update to the Moto 360 today! OTA rollouts are always done over a period of many days, so it will take some time to receive your update. For more details about what is contained in this update, please see my previous blog post:
