I've had my desire for a week, it was a good upgrade from the HTC Magic.
But after one week and only installing about 40 apps I have run out of phone storage already (5Mb remaining). Bahhh ... HTC I am not impressed, why didn't you learn your lesson from the G1 and when everyone complained about this 18 months ago and at least give us a couple of gigs of phone storage.
Until this happened I was actually happy not to root, the stock rom seems fine to me. But now I will invalidate my warranty if I want to be able to install google earth (20Mb) and a bunch of other 3d games with my usual every-day apps.
You can argue I knew this before I bought the phone but it still surprised me how quickly that phone storage was used up. 1 week is a joke.
</rant>
Sorry for ranting ...
Google Earth ain't all that tbh...
You totally missed the point of my rant but never mind.
I agree, Google Earth turned out to be a 5 minute wonder, I uninstalled it to recover the storage space.
No I got the point, I was just commenting on Google Earth!!
I agree A2SD would've been nice but I have very few apps on my Desire. It's a phone so I use it to make calls, send SMSs and keep up-to-date with email/Facebook/Twitter and that's it so space isn't an issue
Hello all!
This is driving me crazy!
I have the usual collection of apps on my Desire, a couple of Nav software (being the big ones) etc etc.
However I have moved all of the apps, except things like swype, Advanced task killer, and a couple of widgets to my SD card, either with the native android function or with titanium backup.
However i keep getting the dreaded low space warning.
Why is this happening?
If I move the apps to the SD card, why am i still losing space on the phone?
And on a side note, why in 2011 we still have to deal with something a la 1986 with DOS and its memory shenaningans!
short story: not everything is moved when you move something to the sd card.
search on here about the differences between apps2sd vs data2sd (or d2whatever, or d2ext)
Dammit!
But thanks for your answer, at least I know where I stand.
I have lazily avoided going down the app2sd route so far, since didnt want to start the partitioning etc process.
I think I will keep going for a couple of weeks more, until I get my sensation, and in awhile probably have to do this for that one too. Will the sensation have the same problem (apart from higher RAM)?
Honestly, what were google thinking making this setup? Did they except their OS to have only 10 apps created for it?? Talk about believing in success!
HTC designed and manufactured the phones, not Google.
The Senstation should have at least 1GB of internal, as far as I remember.

HTC always put extremely low internal storage onto their phones. Its not Google's fault. The Sensation has a 4GB ROM (But only 1GB is given to users for applications, the rest goes to the system partition etc.).
we really should yell at HTC then huh..? any idea why they do this?
I don't know what its like in your country, but in mine, a phone's lifespan is only about 2 yrs. Carriers offer subsidized upgrades (with contracts mind you), so most people upgrade every couple of years. I have a 800mb ext4 partition with data2sd and still have 400 free. I have over 200 apps installed, not that I use more than 10% of them, lol. I think the 1GB user space on the sensation should last you just fine. One thing to keep in mind is that he sensation bootloader is currently locked, which means hacks like this may not be available for it.

If you root and s-off you can change the internal partition table size according to the rom you use. This maximises the space available to you for apps, in my case 332mb instead of 147 that you get with stock.
The processes to do this are pretty painless if you are good with following specific instructions.
Bloody tech companies, screw you in the end one way or another! If its not apple, its MS, and now HTC.
Honestly 150mb of RAM? in 2011????? The first Iphone could use 8Gigs years ago....
Ive had 4 HTCs phone in succession and each one had some issues somewhere. Sad thing is they were the best out there at their respective time!
Why oh why does it seem 95% of products seem to have never been properly thought out or tested!!!!
Rant over....
Thanks for the replies guys, and to add to your replies, yes I am getting an upgrade on contract, and hoping the Sensation bootloader will be unlocked soon (locking them in the first place, another great genius company decision there!).
If the sensation memory is not enough, I suppose will have to go through the ext4 route!
All your replies are much appreciated!
I have a htc desire stock orange uk, S-OFF, rooted.
download Link2sd (you have to be rooted)
With link2sd all I did was use Ubuntu and gparted to partition my 8gb sd card the 2nd partition set at 1024mb and the rest all together and both FAT32, as on the market app info it says ext2, ext3 etc etc can only be used with a custom rom.
hope this helps
This has been a life saver went from 17MB free to Nearly 60MB!!!!!

The sensation is going to get it's bootloader unlocked in august. And 1gb should be enough for now.

Hi guys, I'm an utter Android Noob (I've watched noob video - yes I'm a noob). After finally getting fed up with waiting for the Big Fruit to release a significant upgrade to the iPhone for 3+ years (still got a 3GS as my primary phone on a great contract - unlimited everything for next to nothing) and not seeing even the 5 as a big enough step forward (and ios6 a step back) I'm jumping ship. I nearly did last year for the Note I but the II has finally convinced me - its better and, just as important, cheaper!
At 40 my eyes are a bit tired for teeny tiny screens and my ipad2 is too heavy to carry around all day (and has no digital pen!) but will not be replaced anytime soon due to my heavy investment in ios apps. So the GNII seems the perfect "all day" device for me - that decision is made - PROBABLY. (I have no doubt the GNII is the best there is for me, but the answers to the following questions MAY mean its not ideal for me right now)
I have searched around a lot over the past month or so (here and elsewhere) but I either can't find, or don't understand, the answer to, probably, a simple question:
From what I understand, the internal storage on the GNII in the UK seems unlikely to exceed 16GB on contract in the UK anytime soon (might go to 32GB but 64 seems far, far away) and the SD card is awesome - I will get a 64GB card immediately. So I'll have approx a tasty 80GB of storage overall (yes I know a bit is lost to file structure etc but near enough) BUT - I'm a App addict (part of the reason I've been tied to apple for so long) and from what I understand the actual Apps on the GNII are installed on the internal (16GB) storage - I'd fill this in a few days I'm sure (my 64GB iPad is full - 32GB Music - rest is apps - most used regularly)
QUESTION: WITHOUT ROOTING (this scares me at the moment - never even jail broke iPhone) how easy is it to get your apps to install onto the SD? - I understand for some other phones (SGIII) there are apps/hacks which allow this but, due to the file structure of the GNII, some/all don't work (I may be wrong - please don't lynch me - noob!)
If its not possible without serious OS trickery my purchase will have to wait until I can get my hands on at least a 32GB one, preferably 64GB, but if its easy (and safe) ill be getting the 16Gb one ASAP - as I'm sure it will be significantly cheaper than the others.
One day I'll root - I tend to keep my phones for 2-4 years and like to fiddle (part of the reason dated ios bores me), but ATM I just want it to work (and update)
Oh that reminds me - I read somewhere that IF apps are mounted on the SD then google play doesn't recognise them for auto updates - is this true? - read so much, don't know which to believe!
Just so you can gauge your responses - I am not computer illiterate (father is a professional programmer - a little rubbed off), I prefer to tinker with Linux rather than windows but windows is on main PC, and I used to be very competent at hacking around the old widows mobile OS (utter junk system but easy to modify) - I am, however, utterly Android illiterate - AT THE MOMENT!
Thanks for you time - Ben

Sorry for the long post but I want an answer to these specific questions:
Do the apps install only on the internal storage as stock?
If they do, can you EASILY install them on the external storage instead?
How?
Will they work ok?
And... Can this EASILY be done Without Rooting?

Do the apps install only on the internal storage as stock? YES
If they do, can you EASILY install them on the external storage instead? It seems that External Storage is merged in Internal Storage So It will not be possible yet on Stock Roms. Maybe As soon as new development comes out we will c much more. Most of the Developers waiting for Samsung to release Source Code...
How? ^^^
Will they work ok?Previously on my Note 1 it works OK So I hope it will work on Note 2 also....
And... Can this EASILY be done Without Rooting? I don't think so..Root is Required.
And Rooting is very easy. Or if you are afraid of doing rooting just flash a rooted JB rom using PCOdin or MobileOdin and you are good to go.

Android does a a great job in managing apps, so if you think u will outrun the space, I dis agree, as bigger apps get installed on external storage, (external SD) to save the space, and Without rooting there is option if you go to setting> application> move to SD, so You can install as many apps as you like.... >>>>> My advice come to the brighter side!! U will NOT regret!!
Thanks guys for your quick responses - but (forgive me if I'm being thick) they both seem to be saying opposite things to each other, one seems to be saying stock won't currently install apps on external SD without re-flashing or rooting, and the other saying, effectively, that they are installed on external SD kinda automatically, or can be moved with stock software. Obviously the latter, at the moment, would be preferential for me.
I AM definitely coming to android mainly because android has finally proved to be a stable (took me a little while to believe this thanks to brainwashing) and more advanced OS and it will be a GNII because ever since using iOS I've missed a stylus and big screen.......it's just WHEN, as when I come I will be staying and I need to be as sure as I can that my hardware suits MY needs - even if I have to wait (as I said in long 1st post - I've stayed with 3GS because I felt apple did not provide a significant hardware boost - I can wait a little longer lol)
Sorry for the persistence but I just need a uniformed, definite, answer
Thanks again for the prompt replies - Ben

Sorry, but this is just wrong!
Firstly, unlike the Note 1, where the internal storage was split to give separate partions for apps and 'external' data, in the Note 2 you have a single unified partition for both.
This means that the Note 2 doesn't have the "Move to SD" option, because all this did on the Note 1 was move the app from the app partition to the internal sdcard, and this isn't helpful on the Note 2 since it would essentially just be moving the app around within the same partition.
Neither the Note 1, not the Note 2 supports apps directly on the actual external SD card, though there are several ways and means to get around this if your device is rooted.
Regards,
Dave

Thank you Dave - that was the general impression I was getting from the (lengthy) research I have been doing and, to me, is important - most of my storage (on ios) is the physical app programs, not the save file data from them and I'm sure this will be the same on android (for me). Does seem a bit daft that this is the case (16GB really isn't much these days) but there must be a reason (slower access probably).
The main reason I don't want to root at the moment is that I need to get used to android (so that I know when I've broken it and, actually, if I'm happy with it - stock) and I don't want to invalidate my warranty. I know rooting is the way to go eventually - just not yet.
Guess I'll wait for bigger internal storage (rumoured to be 15th oct in UK) and keep an eye on the Play store to see if an app comes out to enable external SD app installation - when either occurs I'm coming to android ;0)
Thanks again

Keep in mind that rooting is not necessarily a process that easily "breaks" your device. Once a stable method of root is developed, it's not long before a quick one-click program is developed that does the work for you!
I'm not sure how iPhone jailbreaking works, but it sounds more intensive than just gaining root on an Android device. (Flashing ROMs/basebands on the other hand, is intensive work that can easily render your phone useless if done wrong. )
Thanks, yep iPhone jaibreaking is an utter nightmare (that's why I never did it) and messes up your syncing with iTunes - and that IS one of the main reasons for coming to android - I am aware that rooting is an easy process - it doesn't actually scare me that much BUT if it voids the warranty I might be a bit hesitant - I will do it Eventually but would rather not HAVE to do it just to make full use of the storage - I'd also like to keep over the air updates, for example, especially with the rapid progression of Android OS over the past few years.
It's killing me because for the first time in may years I'm actually excited about a new phone and a new (to me) OS - T-Mobile here is already listing the LTE for sale - that excites me too lol. BUT, as I keep my phones until another is leaps and bounds better, I'd rather wait a short while and get the most useful I can afford - a 16GB with full access to storage on the SD would be that phone but if its going to be some time before that is possible I might as well wait and get the bigger one (in 2 years when the contracts up apps will be even bigger and my music library will be pushing 50+ GB) I believe buying out of contracts early is a waste of money and I can't afford a sim free phone (read my wife won't let me spend £500+ on a phone).
One thing is for sure - I won't be getting another iPhone anytime soon
First off the evo was officially released in june 2010. Only a few months till we are wishing our evo happy third birthday. Oh I have heard a rumor floating around that the Og Evo is one of the most active devices on XDA.
I have been a member here for a few years. I started with the cricket zio. Then the Og Evo, a 3vo for my girlfriend at the time, and then I fell victim to a boot loop of death. So back to my old a$$ Samsung Messenger II (I had already given the zio to my son as a music/media/911 device) till I could pick up another evo. Found a bad esn hybrid black front/white back og with no battery and seller stated vibration did not work. For $40 shipping paid. Thankfully I didn't sell my 3500 mA extended battery or mid-grade otter box case when I sold my first evo on ebay for $80. Remember it had bootloop of death and also a bad esn.
With some of our phones actually being three years old there are bound to be cataclysmic failures showing up. Over the past few weeks I have noticed a common problem spread out over the massive selection of roms we have. There was nothing really that the roms shared except for the fact that just this one person, never the same one that I can remember, would have this STATUS 7 ERROR during the flash causing the installer to abort. The first couple of times it came up I just passed it over as some wierd error due to something completely different than the real problem.
The following is from a the cm7 unchained thread.
Well with these problems popping up I have been thinking about implementing an old trick. You know about changing partion sizes. We can enlarge the boot and system partions and reduce the data size. We then use a2sd to make up for what we used on the other two. Now all I need to do is add the adjustment to the installer-script.
Although there is a side effect of this. When a different kernel is flashed it will not know how to read the partions. So then the user has to flash another script to change the partion parameters in the new kernel.
Now to shine a light on what the issue is that is causing what seems to be a random problem. The evo has been around since June 2010 and is getting old. The more recovery logs I see the more bad blocks I see. The memory only has so many write cycles before it burns out.
Now with all rom flashing we do just takes another write cycle from the evos life. If we start digging further into the lives of our users we will notice two groups with issues. The older phones (from '10 or '11) and the addicted flashers/developers. Both of which have used up some of their lives testing and flashing.
True be told we can bandaid the evos memory with symlinks to the sdext till we only have the files needed to symlink everything else to the sdext. Only problem will be the transfer rate of sdcard.
Hope this was enlightening and informative. Also if you have not noticed I am working on the TNN Rom toolbox which will help everyone in finding a solving the problems as they pop up.
The thread is in general discussion but only gives highlights of what will be coming. I still have to write the install script to copy logcat automatically to the TNN folder and create a md5sum of the rom flashed. Now I will have to add in the partion adjustments and make a kernel fix script so different kernels can be flashed.
Peace,
Love, and
Happiness
Extra power for my development
Well I have recently lost my job which is why I have been able to get all the roms out so quickly and with very few if any bugs.
Then on a few days ago PlatinumPenguin tells me that he has a 3vo sitting unused in his desk drawer. He states that the Og Evo just sounds so much better than the 3vo on his headphones. Long story short he is packing up the 3vo and giving it to me. Talk about a nice guy. So I will move to the 3vo as my phone with service and have the Og completely free for developing purposes.
Then yesterday my buddy tells me that he has an Inspire that his wife wants to put back on att. The problem is that he dropped it and shattered the screen. Then got upset about it and threw it at the wall damaging the power button and volume keys. No power button no phone right. Well it just so happens that I know a trick or two. He hands me the phone and started to walk away. I quickly do my trick and power up the phone before he gets a few feet away. I tell him to watch this phone boot up. Trick is you take the battery out, connect the charger to phone and wall, and then reinsert the battery. B.I.N.G.O. Houston we have lift off.
Now he offers me his bad esn evo with shattered screen if I can replace the screen and get the buttons working on the Inspire. For those unfamiliar with the Inspire it is part of the evo family. It was an att phone almost exactly like the Thunderbolt except it has no ffc.
Now I have two Og Evo's to use for development purposes. Now I can flash two roms at the same time First I have to root the two new to me evos and an Inspire.
Then maybe I can get the TNN Toolbox written up on post 1. With a collection of other tips and tricks for our evo on post two.
Umm time to hit the rooting section of all three phone. It has been awhile since I have done the Og (hw003 latest update from sprint installed Nov '11) the second evo came rooted. I did the 3vo back around august of last year. It took me some time to figure out exactly how to do it. I didn't use the wire trick which had just come out for the 3vo.
Anyways stay tuned for more innovations from Team No Name. They will be coming to a server near you soon. Long live the Evo. Even if we end up running 90% of our roms from a symlinked sdext. Heck who needs internal storage anyways.
Peace,
Love, and
Happiness

Oh wow I just powered up this bone stock evo 4.67.651.3. I am going to do a timed boot comparison but it sure looks like the stock one takes twice as long to boot.
It is kind of mind blowing to think that there really is that much difference between a stock and modded phone. They are both hw004 so I can use all my nands on both phones. Oh just so you know I had already booted my newly acquired evo a few time before I started both at the same time. No cheating since both already had a dc made.
Re: The State of the elderly Evo Hopefully help will be on the way.
This is almost like finding out my old EVO has cancer and the more I flash it the more the cancer spreads.
I've had my OG Evo since December 2010 (still stock and unrooted). I recently BOYD'd it over to Ting and bought my wife a used OG Evo off of Glyde. Hers I rooted (my first root ever) without issue and am running MBQsniper's Triple S. I am planning to root my device once I get all the bugs worked out of hers, get SMS copied over, etc.
So, needless to say, I've recommitted to the OG Evo at least until Sprint (and therefore Ting) kills wimax and maybe longer. I'm glad there are people around that are much more knowledgable than I that are still paying attention to this device. It's also funny how everyone seems to be from Texas...

If this is the point you are making the thread title camouflages it somewhat. But it's a very good point.
Can I add another important point regarding the advanced age of our "elderly" Evos?
Batteries also decline with age.
There was a recent discussion around here about buying a replacement battery, which size, which brand, blah blah.
If you are replacing an original launch day stock battery that has been through hundreds of charge/discharge cycles, I can guarantee the details of your replacement battery do not matter as long as it is new.
I had been using a replacement battery for a while and just for the hell of it put in my original battery a week ago. After calibrating and letting it go through a few cycles, I was completely blown away by how bad the battery life was. Same ROM, same usage pattern, just went back to the old battery. I just ended a 13 minute call and watched my battery go from 50 to 15. What is that, 40 minutes of talk time on a full charge? No one would sell a mobile phone like that (not today, not three years ago, 1986 or ever).
So all you people inheriting old Evos (or trying to find new life for your own vintage Evos), please, before you clutter up ROM development threads with comments on battery life, REPLACE YOUR FREAKIN BATTERY FIRST.
Now if they could just "recondition" the non-replaceable flash memory to get rid of those bad blocks..

True that. I had to go back to my original battery and it's stupid how bad battery life is.
As for the bad blocks, funny how 2 years ago, we believed you could write/re-write millions of times with no ill effects
Looks like you've been doing your homework brother, this looks to be promising.
Well actually most of the partition adjusting is old stuff. I just have to find a way to change the boot size. They were doing this back in the hero days.

Sent from stock rooted Galaxy SIII
Status 7 error is a fail on installing boot image. I suggest removing the lines in the installer script for the boot.img and flashing a kernel separate. The use of a smaller kernel may solve the issue.

Write cycles for NAND chips are in the order of 10k. Do we have fruity modders surpassing this number?!?
Wild!

Well lets look at it this way. 10,000 writes over 3 years (oldest evo) over 365 days and we have 9.13 writes a day. So while a 10k life sounds long it is over quicker than you think.
Hope this helped shine some light on the subject.

Hey I'll try to keep this short but that never works for me these days so look for the TLDR tags below for the main point paragraph:
Got an 960W right before the S10 launched and I had done no reseearch before hand so I thought root would be easy I had an S4 for ages until it got stolen and then a Moto G lte which I loved when rooted but the screen stays all black pixles with backlight now and a lot kft he screen is broken off plus getting old the original damage I had a stroke and broke it during the fall that caused it so I used a loaner iPhone 5 till I bought the S9.
I Googled and read root guides and went awesome and bought it not knowing that root is harder these days on most devices and I picked the worst model to even try or wait for I guess. Back then m brain wasn't able to research and think things through much better than today just read a few reviews and put my cash down.
So lately it's been running like crap draining the battery very fast and such especially after pie was released. I had looked into removing bloatware and stock crap from the start once I learned it can't be rooted but the stuff never caused an issue or bugged me other than when bixby assistant seems to come up for no reason.
That is until recently: I've noticed terrible battery life particularly with Bluetooth and adaptive brightness on and when I started looking into it a lot of the Samsung apps and packages I never use are what's hogging a big chunk of availavle battery and CPU time.
So I finally figured out how to run ADB over WiFi and disable packages but of course I learned how to uninstall too. Disabled everything with one of the "here's all tbe stock apps you can disable" articles and I even deleted a couple that seemed weird like samsung.bixby.dummy and such but once I did that it ran amazing... however
The however ended though quickly; since I realized factory stuff I do use like Samsung health and cloud didn't wanna work. So next I tried to just reinstall Samsung cloud via an apk downloaded and that didn't really work so I just wrote a little bat file to enable everything disabled via adb bridge and stuff is hunky dory the couple packages I did totally use uninstall command on havnt caused any issues they just throw a Java error when trying to enable them via adb since they are uninstalled. Things are good other than my gripes and accumulated crap as well as tbe first issue that things just arnt snappy anymore+battery drain.
Even reenabled it's running nice and slick again but I do wanna clean stuff up I have 1150 apps with the stock factory and carrier junk so I figure it's time for a clean up.
I figure though maybe it's time to do a factory reset and install the LS5 or 6 build whatever we are on now on American and Canadian devices and go fresh then see what its like until I have time to swap with someone local for a brighter more open device.
I did read about how just a few weeks ago someone wrote up and was on Android news sites about TWRP working on the snap s9 for doing some basic things just the bootloader is still locked of course so I figure I might as well do a backup with everything reenabled via Samsung cloud, Google drive backup, and backup everything I can get read access to vis USB with all the dev options enabled.
Then I can do a full wipe and format/factory reset and from there I can disable any bloatware and Samsung stuff that I don't need. From there if everything seems fine then restore all my misc data and reinstall the other non daily used apps I want and hope Google saves all their data. The phone should be just like the good ol days when you had to do. A. Factory reset instead of upgrade when a good rom update came out and it ran great at first till you loaded it up with crap.
//TLDR
So would this be my best bet, backup via Samsung Cloud, Google, GCloud Backup and a full drive over USB and probably ADB backup save too followed by a wipe format and then install the latest update from Android 8 or whatever I end up with after factory reset. Restore/reinstall apps I actually use or need and their data where possible and then disable any stock stuff I don't use or need make sure everything is fine for a week and then run the adb uninstall command.
Oooor is there something I haven't been able to think of or find with my brain issues that would make it much easier to disable or delete stuff slowly package by package as well as just clearing the OS up? I remember week 1 I was like damn modern phone's are amazing... Going from a Moto surnia to the sltev930 or whatever the s9 code is made me say wow modern handheld devices are amazing but it's lost its magic since learning I can't root,of course, and the limitations associated with that even with Nova launcher prime and shortcutter;even with a ton of stock packages disabled or uninstalled I'm sure.
I just miss being able to do what I want and maybe it's just me or my screen protector but the screen on this thing is weak: I can't read it outside during the daytime wheresas the old worn out iPhone 5 with years and years on it is very easy to see anywhere even with sunglasses and even with jailbreak removed and the beta 11.4.1 on it not 12 yet that little apple loaner can hold it's own.
//End TLDR
//Bonus points: trying to use app2sd most apps won't move and even manually it goes to 90 percent or so and hangs for ages then finally quits and still says internal storage.
Is this a known Samsung issue or is it a problem with fat32 formatting or is my cheap 250gb SD card probably only a 32gb and rewriting over itself after a point?
Not only can I not put many apps and their data onto the SD card but it's become corrupted two or three times now this year and I have to backup everything on my PC and then format on Android and start again.
I dont know how much all data and general files and pictures on the microSD card ive lost now and ice stopped trying for anything with any importance. I haven't done a ton of research but dont know if there's a way to do a specific type of formatting to make it more compatible or some system flag thing I'm missing or maybe just because it's a cheap micSD card... I paid less for it at 250gb than I did for 32gb m.2 SSD for my 3d printer.
//End bonus round back to you Trebek.
I'm thinking about doing research properly and selling or trading the S9 for one of the new cheap Google phones or another Moto or whatever else I find that has good specs and display etc just like the S9 was to me at first. Im not sure what the resale value on a perfect S9 snap is but I'm sure I can get something with a nice bright readable display decent battery and some of the trimmings like inductions charging as well as able to root and install lineage or whatever once I do the research.
I post mostly because I just wanna get some more use out of this thing until I get the time to trade this with someone local or same carrier and research what might match how I was running with the Moto surnia from 2016 till 2018 only with modern hardware.
I realize I don't need all tbe extra crap features of a top end phone these days now that I'm getting back to my MS Surface for general things and realizing that there's a lot I simply can't do on a locked up divice no matter the specs.
Opinions on the wipe-update-uninstallUnneededFactoryPckes vs just removing all unused apps and call it a day till I can find something to barter for a decide more my style now that I know more would be great, as would opinions on devices that might be s good idea to search for locally to trade for. It is on my list of things to research and do over the fall season.
So yeah, thoughts/comments/rants?
I know there's a bit of info on this stuff around just hard for me to do full reseearch these days not tk mention keep up with everything I mean it took me what over a year now just to finally figure out how to use adb to disable and remove factory stuff as well as if people have opinions on devices to research that are like say the s9 modern with the Moto surnia openness I'm all ears.
I'll leave it there for now needed to get this down here or Reddit and back in the S4 and Surnia days XDA never let me down.
Thanks.
Just found a coupe things out like uninstalled apps will reinstall and evabke when you update.
|Ven with everything disabled over time reenabled it's running great again must have been getting rid of their cache and whatever plus I guess j got rid of the fake sd card finally confirmed it with that German mSD tool.
I think finding a model to trade for is best I don't need hardware this high end and j mean that new budget Indian Samsung model is basically as good or better for a fourth the price MSRP.
Gotta put some more research in but definitely dissapoijted the way Android and g{gke have gone since my Moto surnia days.
