Have you opened the log section in supersu and checked the entry for ES? and do you have re-authentication enabled in supsu settings?

My bad. I think you mentioned that you did enable it in your 1st post. Try an older version of es and/or also try to reflash superuser zip in twrp. Weird how it just stopped working though

Yeah...that's why I mentioned trying an older, more stable version of ES. BETA can do weird things. (The link you provided brings me to 3.2.5.5...where is 4.0.1?) I'm on 3.2.5.5 and all is well...maybe try 3.2.5.4?
Good luck. Sorry I couldn't help.

SuperSU performs the usual duties of managing superuser access, unroot with a few added benefits, including logging superuser access, temporary, and it even works in recovery. Here is the complete list of features:
Features:
Superuser prompt superuser access access logging superuser access notifications unroot per-app notification configuration Temporary deep process-detection (no strangers) works in recovery (no more memory access error) will work if Android is not booting properly Works with non-standard shell locations trusts ADB connection is always in the Ghost Mode Wake-on prompt
The Pro version also offers:
OTA Survival mode (no guarantee) Full color-coded command logging content (input / output / error) per app logging configuration per-app user override PIN protection

LG HiddenMenu APK from ZV8?

I just checked out AICP (transition from ZVD to AICP was seamless, wonderful!) and when I restored my backup I lost knock-on functionality (no true surprise). Now when I went to my dialer and used the HiddenMenu code (5689#*980#) and the Hidden Menu doesn't have the option for updating the touch FW anymore. I need the HiddenMenu.apk from ZV8, does anyone have it? I'm going to TOT back to ZV8 in a minute, but if anyone already has the file, I'd appreciate it. If not I'll upload it to Mega and post the link.

Thanks, I found it on Reddit too. Was a pain in the arse to get the command line to launch that menu and not the ZVD one. Not sure how I did it, but everything works again and I didn't have to TOT.

Before I flashed the new app, I renamed the old app and it's odex file with .bak at the end using ES File Explorer. When I flashed the new app I also cleared Davlik and Cache. Don't know if all that is necessary, but it worked for me.

Can you please mention the method which you used to manually launch the command line for the Hiddenmenu of Z8. I'm currently on 4.4.2 ZVD and flashing that file with TWRP which you had mentioned didn't helped me out. Now when I'm dialing 5689#*980# It does not open anything.

You should not have installed via TWRP or anything else. You should have simply copied the file using a program like Root Browser ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.root.browserfree ) to /system/app, then running. Here is a step-by-step. You'll also need Terminal Emulator ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jackpal.androidterm ).
**You will need root for this**
1. Download the APK file in the previous post.
2. Download and install Root Browser and Terminal Emulator from the Play Store.
3. Launch Root Browser and navigate to /system/app
4. Rename HiddenMenu.apk -> HiddenMenu.apk.backup
5. Rename HiddenMenu.odex -> HiddenMenu.odex.backup
6. Copy the HideenMenu.apk that you downloaded in step 1 to /system/app
7. Restart your phone.
8. Launch Terminal Emulator
9. Run the following command:
Code:
su
10. Run the following command:
Code:
am start -a android.intent.action.MAIN -n com.lge.hiddenmenu/com.lge.hiddenmenu.HiddenMenu
Now you should be able to go into HW Test and Touch Test to update the Touch Firmware.

No folders "writable" according to titanium backup

I just gained s-off after rooting, have gigs of space everywhere, super user this, super su that, busy box(why all these apps anyway?)... All other apps can write wherever, now that I'm rooted. Anywhere is settings it looks for folders to save backups says folder isn't writable. I have no custom rom yet as I've not backed anything up. Googled this but apparently I'm the only person in the world with this doozy. Any ideas?

Yes I've root. I'll try again, but I will note that I had those but since they didn't help with TB I just uninstalled them, and remember, that code already is there. So I don't know what there is to try next.
When you want to delete files with es you need to set root permissions in the app itself.
Tools - set root on - also tap it once to enable the R/W rights

How can roll back to standard phone manager witout this permission options?
With this permission manager a lot of aplications which works in backgraund do not work.
One by one needs to get permission.
Before I updated it was on B706, now I am on B708. Is there can be some line in build.prop edited to solve this.
Thanks
