Am I missing something? I can't seem to find where I can change it. Manually looked for the file in case it was in the \ETC folder like in my other phone but don't see it.
I'm not sure anyone's worked out how to change it yet!
I've been playing with mine for a week or so and I don't think you can natively.
I've read somewhere that the ability to change lock screen wallpapers in AOSP based ROMs has been removed - maybe this is the issue?
If you have root, then you can simply rename your wallpaper to whatever the default is to replace.

Try this...
Try to set wallpaper thru home screen and when asked say yes to apply to lock screen. . After that set home screen wallpaper and click cancel when asked to set lock screen wallpaper too.

Setting a picture as a wallpaper does not come up with an option to also set the lock screen wallpaper.

That's one of those gimmicks, I mean 'features' that I am extremely happy to do without.

Afaik no, but it may be possible to use my posted guide using zip-compatible android app (on the phone) to exchange lockscreenwallpaper.jpg inside systemui-res.apk WITHOUT unpacking the apk.
Haven't tried that way, but it may work.

Are you rooted? You need to use either root browser or es file explorer to navigate to the root directory which is / then you will find custom etc there...

2- Backup for those manila files
3- Turn off tf3d
4- Copy new manila files in /windows
5- Turn on tf3d
6- Enjoy your new homescreen

i've been waiting for a manilla edit like this since nov.
the call history links have been removed. but i can't set a wallpaper for the homepage. been through the settings and selected a picture but it always comes up plain black.
just checking the HKEY_CURRENT_USER/desktop/wallpaper values -- currently set to \windows\default.2bp - is this correct ?
using the stock ROM here - any suggestions. thanks!

question is do i need to change the wallpaper setting in the registry to point to a jpg in my wallpaper folder or is there anywhere else i can force the blackstone to change the wallpaper to a picture instead of plain black. other than via the touch flo wallpaper setting (which doesn't work)

u can use mUn bg4allTabs but corner clock will not work with that

layout is WAY better like the clock where it is with the date and alarm where you put them....BUT how do i get rid of the calendar icon??? still there(this time if i hit it it does take me to calendar instead of whiting out my screen)

Nice! Tell us more, what are the restrictions (max filesize, max frames etc.). Only for WM6.5 I presume?
animation is 10fps (on photoshop)...file size is 80~145kb...image size is 480X800...haven't tried it yet on 6.1...

Strange, the SEMC1904.bmp shows me the sony ericsson logo, that you see when you start up your phone.
Maybe I found the solution:
-if you have standard SE animation, the file is SEMC1904.gif
-if you have HTC animation (like in the rom I use), the file is animated.gif
Check which one you have and give the good name to the replacement file
If you have none, use advanced config tool to know the name of the animation file used in your rom and give the same name to the replacement file

if you are on 6.1 please try to search the default animation of xperia...then just use the filename of it into the one that you download here and drop on windows folder
please confirm the filename of the default xperia start-up animation for 6.1 and kindly post here...so that i can add instructions on the first post...try to find the .gif file in your windows folder...

2. do a search for strings.xml files in explorer
3. Drag and drop all the files from the search results into Notepad++
4. Find using REG expressions:

replace with:
zzz_glass_lock_help_text_2"> </string>
(Tip: use the "replace in all open documents" button)
5. Save all files
6. Compile apk as usual

For English, it's under res\values\strings.xml
Do a search in the file for zzz_glass_lock_help_text_2
You can also find other strings.xml files for various languages in other values folders (e.g. values-es)

As JPO and JPA seem to be mostly different in localization I would take a wild guess and say yes.
You better prepare an update.zip with your vanilla framework though better safe than sorry.

Not at the moment, I'm waiting for the official Froyo builds to be released before making mods for them. Right now seems many are suffering from ORD (me included )
Also looking into how the pngs can be added to apks to save some work

Your device must be rooted
Use a file explorer like Root explorer and place the apk in system/app
note : 1) Backup your orignal Touchwiz launcher first and install a second launcher from the market' for when replacing the launcher failed and you have no launcher installed you can't operate the phone because you only have a black screen left.
So do this at your own risk.
note:2) Replacing the original twlauncher removes your widgets from the desktop pages and you have to place them back.
In the zip file is a version with the orginal menu icons (only the glass page indicators are build in)

Do you by any chance:
1. copy the apk to system/apps
2. Set permissions
3. tap the apk and install ?
If so, step 3 is not needed and will give you the app not installed message, just copy/overwrite, set permissions and reboot..

Um, you don't need to install the file. Just overwrite and reboot.
And no it doesn't mod the default homescreen.
