BEST AOSP ROM for DEB? - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

I have been using latest CM12.1 nightlies with elementalx and frankly have been having random lags and sometimes the tablet just goes into a bogus mode where it wont detect touch and i have to reboot it via adb to get it to function properly.
So whats the best AOSP based ROM there which is feature rich and stable?

[Q] Which Rom I Should Use?

Sorry for troubling you guys, I want use a custom rom on my wildfire.can u plz suggest which custom is more stable?
Its personal taste. I use CM7 stable which is (as the name suggests) stable. It depends if you want AOSP on sense

Just so you know - FM and Video Recording do not work in CM6.
cm 7.0.3 seems fine for me and everything works
I'm finding CM7 buggy in the long run also. Have this regular problem where opening messages leaves me with a blank screen which sometimes appears if I rub the screen up and down.

[Q] Cyanogenmod 10.2 : Sudden lags while typing via keyboard

I have an E975 and I am right now on Cyanogenmod 10.2 stable with the included cm kernel.
I type fast enough with the onscreen keyboard and even if I type slower, I get sudden lags while typing an sms or a note or entering contact details or web addresses. The lag stays for a good 5-8 seconds and the phone is in a situation of a hic-up. The letters I press on keyboard don't pop after the lag-surge is gone.
Is there any workaround for this? (I am not sure but for samsungs there were lag-free tweaks to work around problems like this)
I am willing to switch roms but preferrably AOSP/AOKP/CM based and not the stock ones.
Please advice
Thanks
i noticed this using Swype and also the original keyboard from time to time and i just reboot and it works fine again.
I've had that same problem on CM10.2 only, I'm using CM11 Official and it doesn't happen with F93 AOSP Kernel CPUQ V2.2 and tweaks by Gu5t3r. I recommend you use any other ROM that's not CM10.2.

T700 cyanogenmod 12.1 lag

I was having lag after installing gapps and cyanogenmod 12.1
Found a workarround turn GPS off tablet should work without lag again
Gapps bug? Cm bug? Dont know but it worked for me.
aosp just sucks in terms of performance on this tablet
i would stick with touchwiz (I use IronROM)

Most Stable ROM for This Phone

I've flashed at least 7 ROMs at this point, and I have experienced nothing but boot-loops, crashes, camera issues, and random reboots. Each time that I have tried a ROM, I would have to eventually switch back to stock ROM because of the bugs. So my question to you all is, is there ANY ROM out there that has no common bugs like wifi connectivity issues, gps issues, boot loops, camera issues, etc.? I really want to find a stable rom for this phone because the stock rom is unbearably laggy and I know that this phone can be a lot faster than it is acting.
Thank you so much for at least reading this, and if you can give me an extremely stable rom, then I would be very grateful
Using cm12.1 March nightly
Hello, I have recently got this phone and mine is a d2tmo, so I searched many roms and checked out their comments section, but couldn't find any official cm12.1 topics. But did find CM12.1 Rom in the official website.
download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=d2tmo&type=nightly
have been running this rom from past 1 week, I think the battery is not good enough, but overall other issues dont seem to be popping around so freuently. Yes, I recommend it as a daily driver.
P.S: just today, CM13 Nightly has been uploaded, might not be the daily driver, but happy that there's Marshmallow for this 4 year old phone.
I've been using Slimkat 9.0 (KitKat 4.4.4) for over a year now. Fast, stable, bugsfree, minimalistic, easy on battery (24hr+ on 4yr old battery!) & efficient. http://slimroms.net/index.php/downloads/dlsearch/viewcategory/1183-d2lte -- try it u will love it

Been using cm12.1 nightly for last 4 months slight problems with bluetooth but dont think its the rom.
I use built in updater today and did not notice that it was cm13. system went into Update google services loop so I flashed gapps you suggested but was still unable to boot successfully .
Any thoughts? I do have nadroid backup so not urgent.

I had been dirty flashing (without really knowing what that is) the first android 6.0 rom for the S3 and it was going swell til they switched to the cyanogen nightly and everything broke on me, random restarts, Snapchat front camera never worked. But thank you for the recommendation, I flashed it (clean flash this time) and everything works and it's my daily driver now

Stable ROMS?

I'm currently using an S3 as a daily since a friend of mine generously donated his so I can install ROMS.
I'm having heating and performance issues, and I can't find the right ROM to install to this device.
I'm currently using LineageOS (7.1.2) and it's not stable at all. There's too much bugs and lag.
Anyone got cool 7.1.2 stable ROMS that I can install on this device?
I would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
The most stable ROM is going to be a stock unrooted ROM.

That's not what I meant.. The only reason why I'm using a custom ROM is because the apps I use don't support the stock ROM.

Make sure you turn off Adaptive display and LiveDisplay. This should give your phone a massive speed boost as it did for mine. It`s the first thing I do whenever I flash Lineage OS on any device.
However many Galaxy S3 T-999 has been plagued by another problem for some months. Whenever I flashed any custom ROM (I have tried CM 13, CM 14/Linage OS, Mokee), The phone`s goes on mute mode. It makes no sound whatsoever. But it works fine on stock 4.3 but like you said many apps don`t support it anymore.
