Need Help to Debrick S3 Running Cyanogenmod 12.1 android version 5.1.1 - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I installed Cyanogenmod 12.1 on my sprint s3 with CWM about a month ago; everything was working fine until last night when my phone died on me and after leaving it on the charger over night I woke to find my phone Hard Bricked. Now I know it's not the battery since I have two (both of which I've fully charged via battery charger) and I can't get into download mode or recovery mode; plus given the fact that there is no battery charger light on when phone is plugged into charger; except when the battery is not in the phone then it's only lit up for around 30 seconds: I am absolutely sure that my phone is Hard Bricked (Still not sure as to why my phone Hard Bricked in the first place though), and given the fact that I've lost my old img back up I made when I installed a new linux OS on my PC a few days ago foolishly not backing up all my phone files. Given all that I can say without a doubt that my phone is screwed without any help from someone else, but sadly out of everyone I know personally not one of them seams to have a Sph-L710 S3.
Now I've searched all day now to find a dumped sph-l710 5.1.1 cyanogenmod 12.1 image to no avail (not sure if the recovery software is a factory but I use CLOCKWORKMOD). Now I know that a SD card debrick loader has a chance to not work but I really would like to at least find out whether or not it will help me in my situation, or if I should just finally decide to upgrade to a new device (the latter option is not exactly appealing to me; oh how I love my S3 with its perfect size), If there is anyone that could possible help me out I would greatly appreciate it. So, that is my issue; I hope that you can help if not thanks for the effort of reading this post anyways.

Have you looked at any of the threads on this forum talking of unbricking a hard bricked s3?

good call. thats where i got debrick image that i keep on internal storage, just in case!

You don't need an image from the rom you were running, you need an image for the firmware you were on.
What was the last touchwiz version that you were running/last update that you took? That's the version of the debrick image that you need to find.

Yes thats what we were trying to tell him. The thread we are referring to is this one...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2369125
which has the firmware images in link there. i got the one for my ND8 there :good:
Nice stats!

[Q] Help me, need the next step in my diagnostics.

Alright, I just recently bought a new Galaxy S3, through Rogers in Canada.
I was successfully rooted and flashed w/ a custom rom.
I then downloaded "VZW GS3 EZ-Unlock (Bootloader)", so I could escape Error Status 7 in CWM while trying to flash a new rom...
Boom, phone doesn't turn on. I guess it wasn't compatible w/ my i747.
If I connect to the PC, the sound when a device is connected plays. If I try and boot to download (3key combination), the sound just repeats (off/on). But the device doesn't turn on. Screen stays blank.
So, I just finished making a 300K ohm usb jig.
This doesn't make the phone turn on either.
So, how do I flash a bootloader in SDMode ?? I read it involves jumping a resistor -- I'm assuming this is the next step I have to take to try and revive my phone. What's the file I need on my sdcard? Who can point me in the right direction?

URGENT!
Can someone PLEASE use QPST and in the Software Downloader program, make a backup from a stockish i747 Rom, upload it, and link me!?
I'm sure I've figured out a way to restore my device!! This will help the whole community since several ppl are having my identical issue.
It looks like you brick your own phone...you should return to the store where you got it from and get replace one. Also, you shouldn't put bootloader b/c it is 100% chance to brick it. 2nd thing is that you need very new version of CWM (v6) which it is found in the thread b/c it happen to me when I have very old one and got same status.
The USB jig should be 301k I do believe. Bootloader mishaps usually need JTAG repair to get functional. mobiletechvideos I think is the name I keep seeing around here. Good luck.

Boot_loader.hex
I'm also looking for a hex file of the default boot loader for i747... if anyone knows, that's greatly appreciated
I don't know if you can do it that way - probably not.
In all likelihood you've bricked your phone and it requires a physical modification to work. Software won't do it.
Instead of flashing some strange boot loader you should have just updated your recovery - a quick search and a little reading would have told you that was the cause of the status 7 error.

SGH-I747 Bricked to hell and Back again!!

SOooO I'm just some tinkering nut that likes to check out all of the roms out there for my devices. Flashing is worse than crack for me. I have bricked de-bricked and re-bricked this poor little galaxy and updated to 4.3 and downgraded back to 4.0 all to make it look like it just came out of the box again. nice clean bootloader. A factory rom. 0 flash count which is simply nutz since this thing should be a stripper I have flashed it with so many Roms and Mods. I have pretty much every file you can think of for this device on my computer and I am more than happy to share my information and tips with the community here at xda.
If you think you need some assistance and don't want to spend 3days hopped up on pizza and mt.dew searching every inch of the forums looking for answers feel free to ask me and I can try my best to help out.
I have almost every custom Rom out for this device.
I have Custom Kernels from chapters 4.0.3 - 4.1.1 - 4.3 - 4.4
I have Debrick Images from the first three chapters will make one for 4.4 when I see a stable Rom
I have Stock Rom Files
I have updated Stock Rom Files.
I have updated rooted no knox Files
I have a crap load of continuous hours of searching breaking and Fixing this poor little thing.
I would have made a Tutorial page but it looks like there are plenty on the forums. I KNOW I've read them all:silly:
so I would rather put my knowledge to use in letting you simply ask me a question and I will reply as quickly as possible.
I know its going to sound nubcake. Buuut.... this is my daily device and I know how frustrating it can be when you have made one of them fatal mistakes and your device goes black or won't flash your new custom rom you want to test out.
Shoot some questions my way and see if I can't help you out quicker than you searching the 4 corners of the net.

I did not do any boot loader flashing. sorry wow first question and I already fail.
If I had to take a wild guess and you still have access to cwm or twrp flash the stock rom and you should be good.

If you go from the 4.3 bootloader to a previous one, you will brick your device via an e-fuse. You shouldn't need to revert to an older bootloader anyway unless for a specific rom. If that is the case, you are better off waiting until the developer catches up.

So i was able to get a micro SD card and download the files from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2498233
Used TWRP to install the bootloader/modem, then the rom, then the kernel. After it installed successfully I rebooted the phone. Nothing comes up. It doesn't respond to power button, or download or recovery button sequence. When i plug it into my computer, device manager recognizes it as a port. Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM13)

sorry I didn't ever encounter that in my adventures with the device. I have quickly discovered that there are too many issues with them and the flashing. I have had more problems and bricked states than I care to look at. I got the phone operating and gummy installed on it and left it at that.

Sudden Death AT&T GS3
Hi,
I have an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3. I was running CM11 nightlies. It was working perfectly fine for all these days. Couple of days back it suddenly died. The phone hasn’t been switching on back since then. I tried putting it on full charge. Whenever I pull out the battery and reinsert it, it vibrates, The LED comes on and the Samsung screen comes on for a second and turn turns off again. I cannot access the recovery or download modes through the key combinations. I also tried going into download mode using a Jig. I have to remove the battery and reinsert it. The Jig did work and the phone did go into download mode but, only for a second and then turns off. I’m not sure what exactly the issue is.
I would be very grateful if you could help me find a solution.
Thanks.

once again not for your device but scroll down to stock firmwares and READ the whole guide. There is a kid that makes a video some where arround here as well. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2369125 you need a 16gb class 10 sdcard or larger as well for this
Disk Space Back
I had trouble getting my max disk space after I did the debrick trick. So i'm going to shoot a quick tip to get all your space back.
go to your windows start menu and in the search type diskpart and hit enter.
in the command line type "list disk" no quotations and enter.
You should see your hard drive and any other storage devices connected in you computer. Determine which one is the sd card.
Next in the command line hit select disk x. x represents your sdcard.
last is clean disk in command line and your sd card has all its space but you must reformat it how ever you choose.
I just used sd formater.
hope that helps some peeps if so hook a noob up with some thanks clicks. :good:

*I bought this off a friend of mine.*
All he told me was that he tried installing a rom and he thinks that he installed a rom for a different model S3.
What Happens/What I Did?
1. I tried to plug it into the computer and the computer doesn't show that anything plugged in, the S3 doesn't turn on. NOTHING.
2. I connected the phone to the PC without the battery inside and the phone responds with one RED light at the top left of the phone. Nothing shows up on my computer still, not even that the phone was connected NOTHING.
3. I bought a JIG device and tried plugging it into my phone and it doesn't work. (I previously tested this JIG on another samsung device and it worked)
4. I tried doing the method to use a 16gb SD card and downloading an i747m debrick IMG and using Win32FlashTool to copy it to my SD Card. I tried with 2 different cards the first one was a 16gb SD card and the other was a 32gb SD card.
5. Through a lot of research I found a leaked way to unbrick the Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 by shorting out the R313 chip, I'm sure you guys are all aware of this method. I opened my device and couldn't find the R313 chip. After further research I found that a user was able to locate the R313 chip on the i747m and he'd unbricked his phone with that method. If anyone can help me locate the i747m R313 chip it'd be GREATLY appreciated!
If anyone can help me out it would be great! I'm very experienced at soldering so if there's a method that requires me to solder I'm more than confident I can do it.
Thank you!! :good:

[Q] Help UnBricking Phone

So i bricked my Samsung Galaxy S3. I believe it is hard bricked because there is absolutely no response from the phone. Can't boot into recover, download, or regular boot. The phone has at least 40% battery when I last saw it work.
I was attempting to roll back my android OS to see if I could extend my battery life but every time i tried using odin my download mode would give me "sv rev check fail" so i attempted to unlock the boot loader. I couldnt odin it so I flashed a custom rom to check if I could flash roms on my phone. The slimkat custom rom worked but when I tried to flash back to stock I would get the sv error. I saw that EZ-Unlock app would work so i tried it out. The app said it unlocked but when I restarted the phone to get into download mode, the phone seems to be bricked.
I have a usb jig but it doesnt seem to force my phone in to download mode and I am waiting on a micro SD card to try to un brick it. How can I use the micro card to un brick the Tmobile version of SG3?
Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-T999
First of all the bootloader is NOT locked, so whatever that app does it was not mean for this device.. You should never attempt to downgrade firmware, it has been stated many times that there is high risk to hard brick when you try to bypass this restriction. The unbrick might work
Follow instructions in the debrick thread and hopefully it'll work.

Lol! I couldn't remember for sure if that's how it had happened on this thing, so I didn't want to say for certain that it was fixable. (Should a just asked you, but in my own defense, what's left of my mind these last few weeks is pretty much a scrambled mess!)
Anyway, I can 100% confirm that this type of brick is fixable. Using it as we speak/type!
And thanks to mrrocketdog for saving my a$$ with this thing! I may not have been around at all the last little while if not for him! (Might be back using my sad little MyTouch 3G Slide!)

Debrick image is only way besides a jtag to get it to turn on again.
Try at 16GB or 32GB memory card only! anything lower will not work.
I would suggest trying it again it took me a few tries to get the phone to boot . keep it plugged in to wall battery out , put battery in and turn on you should feel a vibration and then viola ODIN MODE.
Note: if you have a t999L the image is different from the T999 ensure you use correct one!
Good luck!

I appreciate the concern but it would be very helpfull if you or someone on this forum could provide me with a samsung galaxy s3 sgh t999 debrick img file. ive been searching for days.
Flashing any ROM from the i9300 (international version of the s3) to the i747 (AT&T s3) or T999 (T-mobile s3) is pretty much guaranteed to brick a phone.

[REQUEST] Need debrick.img I19192 (pac-man rom)

Hello, this is a sad history but i got my first s4 mini the last year, it worked arround 2 years but one day i was just using it an on my hands my phone freezes a few seconds and just power off. Then, never power on again!
No recovery, no download, no samsung logo, no vibration, nothing. it just is showed as qshusb_dload on windows 7.
As i read it died completely. but i read that some people are getting sucess with a file named debrick.img, that is obtained doing a backup of the first 128mb of the rom.
well ive tried maybe 3 different debrick.img that i found on web but i get the same, nothing.
the problem is that my phone was working with pacman rom before die, and the debrick.img`s that i ve found on the web are from stock roms on some different versions.
someone can do a debrick.img from a pacman rom and upload it to me? i will aprecciate too much
you can get the debrick img flashing this

My phone was dead like yours, too, black and no life sign when pressing buttons. However i had success to "revive" it by removing battery and cables and putting them back (I don't remember if battery first and cable second or vice versa) while holding power button pressed (and maybe VOL.UP / VOL.DOWN / HOME or both/three) all the time. It needed some tries and I do not know the exact combination which worked, but it worked in multiple situations in the past too, when my phone was dead black and did not want to start. If your battery charger screen shows up finally you got it. Let it recharge at least a bit (better: full recharge) before you try to start the android system finally.

As far as I've understood the cpu tries to boot from second partition if booting from first partitions fails. The debrick.img contains the first X partitions from booting process and even if those are the very first booting partitions of another rom for the same phone and are conflicting to your installed android system (and thus won't boot into full system), your phone should give at least a life sign.
Have you tried different sdcard sizes?
I think there is still hope. I don't know how it works, but you might try a JIG. And since your phone shows up as qshusb_dload you might try to connect to your phone while it is offline (my phone has even adb shell while in charge screen - which doesn't show up for your phone). I remember there was a special qshusb_dload driver for Samsung phones, different to the "usual" Samsung USB drivers (maybe look here)...

Hmm i understand, i was thinking that the debrick.img should be from the same rom exactly... and i have two phones with the same problem, both fails by the same way, i was using it and just frezees and never woke up again. I buyed the second when the first died, but after a months the second died too.. Both have installed unofficial roms and dindt show any signal of life dont matter what i do, the JIG doenst works too i tied too.
Definitivelly S4 mini is not great choise for a phone that will be used with hard work.

As many cases of died S4 minis I've heard of the last two weeks here at XDA or from friends I got the impression Samsung built those phones with an expiration date.

i'm agree with this. And looks like the expiration time for the s4mini is one year and a half or two years till the EMMC die. The sandisk EMMC included on the s4 mini is not of a great quality.
well ****. exact same problem here, does this emmc has anything to do with hardware? and have you folks fixed it yet? how do you even get a phone with good emmc things?? sorry if iam late but it really sucks how that 1 year 9 months later it just dies. any help? thanks!

Interesting theory. My S4 mini died overnight for no particular reason and I am in the same situation now. Cannot get to download mode, JIG doesnt work either. Tried searching for debrick images, but all the older links are invalid. Would appreciate if anyone can provide one.
Thanks.

Nah, Samsung wouldn't do that, however there definitely seems to be a problem with the S4 Mini if you look at the number of bricked S4 Mini's here on XDA and compare to say the S4 which sold more (I believe) and yet it has nothing like the number of failures. One poster on another thread said most of these were from a bad batch manufactured in Vietnam, but I have not been able to find definite proof of this.
As for a debrick image it should not matter what ROM the debrick image is made from as it only consists of a small block of data that is not changed by custom ROM's (according to what I read on another Samsung phone thread last year, where a debrick image was made from a phone running a Cyanogenmod rom that worked successfully on another phone. But again I have not found another ref to confirm this)
I would make you a debrick file but I have a I9195 LTE
