my phone LG E975 keep shutting down after the LG animated logo.
Few days ago, I installed brain dots, and keep playing it until my phone got hot and then shut down, but I can turn it back on and everything worked normally, today I played again and my phone got so hot again and shut down.
but now, it always shut down again after the animated LG logo. sometimes I can see my wallpaper before my phone shut down sometimes it shut down in animated LG logo.
my phone is unlocked, rooted and has CWM recovery 4.1.2 Stock ROM
I tried :
- custom restore to restore boot img from my old nandriod backup. still dont work.
- flash custom kernel ( that I have tested it before and work great, Solid Kernel 0.8)
- wipe cache and wipe dalvik, after "starting apps" message then it shut down again.
is there a way to test which app that cause my phone to crash?
a log of what my phone did last time before crash?
If I can, I dont want to flash my phone

So I have a rooted HTC desire HD with Jellytime on it. All was working great till recently when it would shut down by itself. Today after I wanted to test a new boot screen from Rom toolkit I restarted it and while the boot screen worked great after it finished I see a black screen (backlit so I know its on). I tried going to the bootloader but after I try to go to wipe cache for example it restarts by itself and it gets stuck after the boot screen... Any ideas?
ok an update seems that if I go to the recovery via down button and power it lets me do actions. All this time I went to recovery mode when phone was shut down and plugged into a power source. I did a wipe cache and now it says android is upgrading and now it finished saying starting apps. Hope it didnt get stuck there because it keeps doin the cycle animation but doesn't do anything else.. I ll leave it be for a bit like this... :/ Had to restart it by removing the battery after 20 minutes... same problem as before still...
another update... just before it goes to a black screen when the boot screen finishes an orange light appears just briefly (where the green light appears when it charges)
Wipe everything (system data cache) and install a stock-ish ROM. What happens?

I flashed the rom again and wiped data and all seem to be ok now. I ll update this because I saw many people have similar problems... thanks in advance for any help!
Have the same problem.
I bought this with the problem that it keeps rebooting all the time.
I unlock the bootloader with htcdev, root with Easy Ace Tool, flashed the new cyanogenmod 11,
but did the same .
At least 3-4 rebooting before open normally.
I said that it must be ROM issue and flashed the KK-LegacyCarbon-4.4.
Did the things should be...flash the ROM and then the boo.img separately.
Now i have black screen and the only screen i am able to get is bootloader and the recovery 4EXT.
I reflased cyanogenmod back but nothing happened, any thoughts???
Hi all,
so i was driving on the road today using google maps and listening to the stock lg music player. I am rooted and have xposed on my phone for around a week or so. Everything is running good but all of the sudden my phone freezes and i tried to hold down the power button to reset but it didnt work. So now i removed the battery, waited a good minute then placed it back in. Started it up... sometimes it stays on the black LG bootup screen while other times it reaches the yellow sprint spark screen then it bootloops back to the black LG screen. I have gotten it to boot to the optimizing apps area once or twice some how but it always bootloops and doesnt finish optimizing the apps.
I just dont understand how having root and xposed running perfectly for a week and then a frozen screen turned into a bootloop. I have not messed with any settings since i got xposed. I have restarted the phone many times after i got xposed running.
Is there a way to factory reset the phone in stock recovery mode? (I was able to get into the stock recovery mode) If someone could please chime in to help, as i have no working phone atm.
TIA,
Steven
Edit----
Miraculously it booted up all the way. But i'm now stuck on the LGsetupwizard. After i press next on the wifi setup screen it says LGsetupwizard has stopped and goes back to the first step on the LGsetupwizard
I can get into the options menu, tried to stop the LGsetupwizard but it restarts the app after 5 seconds. For some reason my pc doesnt show the LG G4 icon in the explorer menu. I opened the debloat tool and it read my LG G4 fine. I blocked the LGsetupwizard but and restarted the phone. It still shows up when i reboot the phone. im out of ideas .
Well ill be honest, im not sure how i got it to work but adb finally was working. then i followed this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/guide-recovering-bootloop-twrp-t3167361
finally got it working again.
Question. -- By re-rooting the phone do you have to redo the whole xposed process or is it still intact, i would just have to download the xposed app?
I'm having problems getting my phone past the bootup screen. It first loads the logo then goes to the animated logo then the rethink possible animation and then finally gets stuck on the glowing samsung logo. It then shuts off and redoes the loop a couple of times until it stops with the battery charge up screen and freezes there until I remove the battery.
History: Purchased an att phone for the mb to replace my original phones because it had the insane chip. Had to root it to be able to unlock the phone with my carrier(telus). Since I was in it I flash the DN4 custom rom and everything needed into the phone. The phone functioned fine for about a month and then frequent freezes and restarts started happening. Near the end, the phone was stuck in a boot loop, loading into the DN4 animation boot screen then shutting itself off then on again to endlessly repeat the loop.
Present: At first I was able to get into TWRP and tried some things in there but nothing happened. When there I notice it stated "internal memory 0"-not sure if this means anything.
I was able to flash the saved recovery file from TWRP. Once I did that I could no longer go in TWRP and now have to use the samsung install/recovery.
I have since flashed the stock rom several times with odin and also wiped data/factory reset many times still does the same in bootup. Tried flashing TWRP into phone using odin 3.07 but failed.
What should be my next move? Pretty new at this so I may be missing something very simple or perhaps a dead phone???
Finally got the phone to boot up and run fine. It seems everything was good except the battery was acting up.
Next step is to get the battery to charge when phone is off.
I'll post this question in new thread.
Hi,
yesterday, my phone started randomly freezing for about 10sec, and would then reboot. This happened every few minutes. I let it off, plugged in, all night, and today this was still happening.
I was running the latest PureNexus. I decided to try to clean flash, but couldn't access twrp ( After selecting recovery from the bootloader, the phone would just freeze and reboot ). I then flashed the latest android M factory image via fastboot. The flash went smoothly, but the phone still wouldn't boot ( same issue ). I can't reliably access the recovery ( the stock one ), as the phone reboots when it gets to the android icon with the warning sign ( even though sometimes I can get to the recovery, but can't select anything in the list, as it freezes and reboots ).
I'm running out of ideas, and would like to know if there's anything I can try before contacting LG?
Thanks !
Hey, i think you need to ask lg to replace your phone
Same issues in this thread
Hello everyone,
i'm having a really weird issue. I have stock 6.0 installed.
A few minutes ago my phone rebooted because it was overheating due to gaming.
Since my phone was overheating it was just rebooting again & again because i needed to let it cool down.
I removed the battery (as i usually did) in order to let my phone cool down however when i booted my phone it wouldnt want to pass that "LG life's good" splash screen.
It's not a boot loop, i'ts not rebooting again & again anymore, it's just stucked on this LG screen.
How can i boot into safe mode or wipe cache knowing that i don't have any access to LG homescreen + settings.
Help
EDIT : What is the last firmware version of the H815 Swiss model? Should I try to flash my phone with the last version? I think it's not an hardware problem, something in the boot sequence might be corrupted when i removed the battery during the booting process.
