Android Studio and ROMS - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

So, this is probably a no brainer but if I downloaded a ROM from here, I can load it up in Android Studio to see how it performs before I flash it to my phone correct?

Which Android ROM do you use?

I have looked around and have yet to find an Android ROM for my Vogue. I was wondering which ROM everyone uses and a link to that site/ post.
I don't believe that there is an actual android rom yet. Everything has to be run off of your SD card right now. Check out these links.

use the mmissions hero themed cupcake build, very fast and stable. these are not roms yet that we can flash, you put all the files on your sd card and boot it from there. im assuming soon we will have a full rom we can flash as i know one member is working on it as we speak.
DZO's got a great "Starter Kit" that is probably the best place to start. I've been using Android for over a year now on and off and right now its almost at the point where I could just say bye to WM. Check it out. Its labeled android-1.5-2009-07-23.zip and can be found here. http://code.google.com/p/vogue-android/
From there you can play with mmissions' and vilord's system img's. Enjoy
I am a bit new to modding my touch. Do I need to download all other files plus mmissions cupcake?

Android SDK version required for T-Mobile G2 Touch

Which Android SDK version is required for the T-Mobile G2 Touch?
I see under about phone several numbers:
firmware: 1.5.
build: 2.73
software: 1.0.0.A6288
Could someone tell me which the actual Android SDK version I will require is?
Just treat it as a Hero. Forget the T-Mobile nonsense.
Mine is technically a G2 Touch.

You only *require* the SDK if you wish to develop applications for the phone.
Nowadays, you download the SDK starter package, and then add "platforms" for the various versions of Android that you may wish to target. Currently available platforms are 1.5, 1.6 and 2.1.
Unless you are running a custom ROM, your Hero will be running Android 1.5, so you need the Android 1.5 platform.

Dave
Thanks. Yes I have several versions of platform installed. I was confused as to which version was on my phone.
android 1.5 is SDK 3
simple enough answer

[Q] Something I don't understand......

I can understand different manufactures wanting to put there own little spin on android for there devices to distingush them from others. But why can't I, If I choose to, just install whatever is the latest stock version of Android on my device?
Is Android so fragmented that there is no way for Google to release a standerd version of the OS that we can install and have whatever drivers we need downloaded/pushed to the device so that it will just work?
Just wondering
android is a system built to run on many different processors and other hardware specs and because it is a mobile os it would take up tonnes of space to include all the drivers for every hardware.
there for manufactures have to build their own kernel and drivers run the android virtual machine on top of that
and manufactures for some reason like to put their own spin on it to try and differentiate from other manufactures. as Andy Rubin said its a feature that android can look so different and the apps still work
and androids not that fragmented any more most of the devices are running 2.x
so basically you cant just install android because it is built to be device specific.
if you want you can hope a cyanogen mod is made for your device thats the closest you will get to stock
hope that helps

Nokia N1 has Android 5.0.2 out of the box. Not sure what you're trying to ask.

I'm new for Android device. I found the Nokia didn't lock bootloader. I think it should brush other 5.0.2 rom/system for similar hardware. right now, I got the android x86 iso, Just dont know I can use it to brush my N1 or not.
Why don't you just install the Google Play Store, the Nokia is already running a vanilla version of Android 5.02. My Nokia is working just fine using the Play Store hack found in the other threads, did you even bother reading anything else before posting?

Install custom rom on Nokia 5.1?

Hi all, I'm looking at a way to install a custom rom on my Nokia 5.1.
It's kinda slow so I wanted to either downgrade it to Android 9 or to install any other custom rom. Does anybody have a working guide to point me to? Unfortunately there are a lot on the web that simply don't work.
Thank you a lot!
Nokia did not share the device tree with us, therefore no ROMs are available
I also got automatically updated to 10 and it started choking itself, so I uninstalled every evenwell app via APT and switched from default launcher to "Rootless Pixel Launcher"
