The N1 run android x86 system. but dont have any google play service. and look like Nokia does not lock the recovery mode. so, I just think that can Nokia N1 run the intel x86 android 5.0.2? does anyone know how to do that?
Nokia N1 has Android 5.0.2 out of the box. Not sure what you're trying to ask.

I'm new for Android device. I found the Nokia didn't lock bootloader. I think it should brush other 5.0.2 rom/system for similar hardware. right now, I got the android x86 iso, Just dont know I can use it to brush my N1 or not.
Why don't you just install the Google Play Store, the Nokia is already running a vanilla version of Android 5.02. My Nokia is working just fine using the Play Store hack found in the other threads, did you even bother reading anything else before posting?

Hey, since the official BBM for android is out, and not compatible for our devices, is there any other way round to get it working? Installing an independent APK did not work for me.

I'm looking for the same thing but I can not find anything ...
Yes, Our device falls under Desire C category on the Play Store's Dev Console (Mostly). Even the Desire C doesn't support BBM. Anyways, I'm gonna get a new phone in a month but having BBM for the WFS would be great

So like the title says...I downloaded the official .exe file for DuoS and attempted to install it as a admin. And I get the generic this app will not run on your pc...any suggestions? ?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLePEHpcyvE
I have followed the above video as well.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2092158
im have also run the jail break tool from the link above
Windows RT 8.1 cannot jailbreak yet. That jailbreak you use only working with Windows RT (8.0). After jailbreak you will need to use .exe that compile for using on ARM (not normal x86-64 for Intel, AMD CPU) or use Win86emu to run normal .exe with 1/10 CPU performance. And even we can jailbreak RT 8.1. I don't think DuoS can working on it.
oh wow ok so i assume that means at this point there is no way to run any android apps on the 8.1 RT?

There is Bluestacks. You can downgrade WindowsRT to 8.0 if it's the original Surface RT.

I don't think there is a version of Bluestacks compiled for ARM available yet. I could be wrong, but having RT 8.0 with the jailbreak still won't allow it to run x86 applications, and the currently available download of Bluestacks doesn't run on my Surface RT even with the jailbreak. There is rumor they maybe are working on an ARM release, but I don't know if that will be a desktop or store version. Probably the latter.
http://www.bluestacks.com/technology.html
If somebody has a link for an ARM version to download I'm all ears.
I think that they already released the store version

Not that I can find... searching the store all I find are guides to installing bluestacks, but not the actual application itself. I'd be happy to be proven wrong...
I really want to install Android Apps in my Lumia 930. It's brand new and already came with last build of W10M. I tried to install Windows 8.1 using Lumia Phone Test Application, wich worked, but when I update to Windows 10 again I receive the last version without Astoria support. Anyone can help me?
I'm trying to install APK using that Easy Purple Drag an Drop APK Installer Tool, wich I can't remember the exactly name now but I'm sure you fellows know wich one is, and it's return this error: There was a problem booting the Astoria platform on the Windows device. Error code = 14.
Thanks for your time!
you cant use android apps on W10M.... project is dead... is worked terrible! FORGET IT!
just forget it!
not possible, wouldnt even be useful. if you want android apps buy a ****ing android device!
Hmm, it's a stupid idea, because M$ in TH2 destroyed Astoria Project from OS. For Astoria Project need install build 10240 on phone.

There's a thread on Windows Phone 8.1 forums about that build you want. Find it. Only for Lumias 930, 640 and his XL bro
dude seriously -> even if you get it running somehow with updating from cab files under 8.1 to 10240. IT SUCKS!!!! 99% of all android apps dont even work, the 1% which works works very bad and the os itself will run like **** cause its an early preview! just forget about it, its not worth wasting any time on it
meaning, mission completed.
Install Android Apps on Windows Phone
I hope you are searching it on the internet and landed here. And here it is: just forget it and move on... Forget all that crap you found in another sites. Tutorials, Testimonies, Youtube videos, etc... loose all your hope. Just use your limited apps and dream with a better future.
Quoting other users: even if you managed make it to work it will be ****ty. Nothing will work properly and you will realize: this is stupid.
Or buy an Android. Simple.

Yes there are a couple of easy ways to get Android Apps on Windows Phone 8 / 8.1 devices running. Note: This is NOT possible on Windows 10 Mobile devices.
1. For the Lumia 640, 640 XL and Lumia 930 there is a 10240 ROM. You can very easily flash that ROM to your device. With that version you are able to install and use Android Apps on your Windows Phone.
2. If you have Windows Phone 8.1 installed on your device you can directly update to either 10166 or 10536. With either build you're able to install and use Android Apps. Note: this is available for the HTC M8, Lumia 930, 1520, 1020, 635.

Yeah but how to stay at that build? It will update auto to newer
I am always looking forward this. Hope Asroria will be back to Windows Mobile since MS has abandoned its own OS. My 1020 is now only my photography backup.

what do you use to update to that specific build? I have done a factory reset on 8.1. will WDRT allow me to install to a specific build? Where can I get these specific builds? Lastly, can I prevent it from further updates?
thanks!
Why?
I think this article covers all the bases.

Heya,
it's not as easy as it used to be. The problem is, Microsoft deactivated the Insider App. Without enrolling in the insider programm first, you can't upgrade to preview builds, because those are flight / development signed.
i have a lumia 540 which should be sufficient for doing what everyone else is achieving.
I then went to "for developers" and enabled "developer mode" and enabled device discovery.
I used the program wconnect;
Code:
C:\Users\xav\Downloads\wphone\APKDeployment>wconnect usb
Creating session...
Please enter the pin for the device to be paired and connected: N2d7G4
There was a problem booting the Astoria platform on the Windows device. Error co
de = 14
It shows on the phone 1 device paired so its doing that part ok.
am i missing the developer extras package?
I feel that maybe it. which probably has the android development stuff.
if i goto check for updates it says i am up to date.
Please help!
i need install android apk files on my phone......
Astoria is dead... no possible way to do that...
What's your model and Windows build?
I've used Android apps on a 640 xl. Only with the leaked (and no longer supported) rom that has the Astoria packages. Why would you want to run android apps on an older unsupported OS version?
It has been said several times you can't install Astoria anymore on recent builds. The kernel needs to be customized in order to make possible install the packages again, it requires a lot of work

Call recording works last time I checked. Is the app not installed or not selectable (Voice Recorder)? The phone app uses the built in voice recorder to record phone calls. You might just need to enable the registry keys for it and select the app, did you try that for that feature?
As far as getting Astoria to work, just google it, that is how I found the FFU for the 640 XL...or buy an android phone if you must have android apps. It will go much smoother that.
