I'm currently running Blisspop 3.6 release on a LG E 988 which says that it's a E980 (in settings).
Im not able to get any deep sleep on my mobile. Whenever I try to flash madmack's modem The Blisspop logo gets stuck when Writing Blis
and then the phone restarts.
I had to flash the E988 modem from the "*Root*SOff*Recovery*ALL-IN-ONE Methods for E988 + Softbrick/unroot/recover to Stock" post
again to fix this.
I have most of the major wakelocks blocked and most of the others are minimised , I used the delete NFC.apk solution which works for me and gets my phone deep sleeping!
But I would highly appreciate a better way to acomplish this.
Any help would be appreciated!!

dont know what to do to get the phone deep sleep.
I've got the problem fixed , downgraded to jellybean then freegee'd the device , after that installed newest e980 twrp using flashify ,and then flashed in the following order -
Blisspop
Gapps
Madmack's Modem
A modem created from the kitkat e988 kdz
Now I get great battery life

also all sounds are coming through the headset instead of the rear speaker. Other than that nothing wrong!

I have the d850 at&t lg g3. I know there is a rom for the 855 version of this phone but cant find one for mine. I recently switched from apple and am wanting to play around eith my phone.
Problem
I tried installing Sphinx on my verizon lg g3. After installing through twrp recovery i rebooted my device then now my device is stuck on a back screen with the notification light blinking red and blue. I created a backup rom to go back to but after installing sphinx it somehow got deleted. so now my phone is the equivalent of an expensive paperweight. Help?
Is there any way to install it without root - e.g. signed SphinX ? I have problems with obtaining root. Stump says that the device is already patched but rootchecker doesn't see root.

Issues flashing SphinX 3.0 to F460S
Firstly, thanks to the dev hoangnova for all the hard work put into the rom.
Have stump rooted, and installed recovery as instructed on thread. After wiping data/factory reset/cache, install failed returning:
E: Footer is wrong
E: Signature verification failed
Installation aborted.

Facing wifi problem on every custom rom I installed on my LG optimus G pro..
Working perfect on stock based roms.. Anybody know whats the issue ? Using cwm 6..0.4.7 and new phillz touch recovery to install roms but facing same problem.. When phone take first boot after installation the wifi is working but after some hours or next reboot the wifi will no more working.. Found something in build.prop

It's not unusual for that entry in the build.prop to be blank, and shouldn't cause issues. I think the default there should be '11 11', though having it blank should be fine (pretty certain).

Which roms are you flashing that are giving you problems? Many of the e980 roms are bugged out in various ways, maybe it's just a quirk of the one(s) you flashed? I had a similar problem recently, wifi just would *not* stay enabled, would not behave. I don't remember which rom it was though; I flash too much.
You've flashed the Kitkat 20g modem, yes? If all else flails, you could always flash back to Kitkat stock and start over, that's guaranteed to tell you whether its a hardware or software problem (if it persists after that: hardward, got to be).

I m on JB 4.1.2 stock e98010p a&t
there is no wifi bugs in these custon roms.. only me facing this issue in every custom rom... Can u give me the kitkat firmware link e98020g ? I m gonna flash that rom then I will root my device on KK then I will try to flash custom roms and tell you about results.. thanks

Booyah: E980 20g Kitkat TOT.
Also, with Lollipop roms, I don't think any of them are totally stable or functionally 100% yet, so that's not a place to go if you want stuff to work. There's plenty of nice Kitkat roms like PAC-rom or Carbon-Rom is you want stability and want for your phone to work fully (but thats no fun! ).

^-- Freegee never lets me in unless I flash the Sphinx GPro Recovery CWM recovery first. Once that is done, it's all good.

Oh, no, you misunderstood: you don't use the CWM, you only install it and then quickly install *over* it with one of Freegee's recoveries. Never use the Sphinx CWM, as you'll get errors when you go to flash roms. You only insatll the Sphinx CWM so that Freegee will recognize your device and function, it's only a stepping stone to Freegee, not a recovery you should use on its own.
And, in light of recent developments on the TWRP 2.8 front, I'd say give that a try instead. It mounts your external SD just fine. THe only things I've flashed with it are BlissPop builds and Gapps, but all without an issue yet. Go for the one with the Play theme and enjoy its gorgeous colors.

I've been reading a lot of the development post and could not fix my issue yet. Hopefully someone can help here.
I have a Rogers d852 with kitkat and rooted.
I'm trying to install a candy5 lollipop custom rom and when I do that, I cannot connect to the roger internet.... it also does not allow me to connect to 5ghz wifi until I install the lp_modem... anyways, after installing the modem, the wifi works but still no roger internet at all... even after selecting the right APN.
I also tried installing the modem and then the stock lollipop rom and it works fine....
when I put the candy5 rom on after, I lose the networks again...
What am I missing here to have custom roms other than the stock lollipop rom working with the right modem?

Cyanogen mod had the same issue... no internet at all. even with the baseband instaled prior to it.

I have a d852 on Rogers and the rom AICP works fine with LTE. I got 2 random reboot though in less than a day. Battery life is way better than Cloudy G3 2.5.
After s second random reboot with AICP, I went back to cloudy g3 though. The wife said she called but nobody picks up the call. But I had the phone on me the whole time and no call whatsoever. So I have doubts on the rom
all good with blisspop except lte
I'm realy happy with the image I have... Blisspop 3.9.
the only problem is the LTE... but I get it is a problem on all the images based on 5.1.1 I tested... at least with this I get H+...
other than that, all works fine so far... and I tested pretty much everything I need...
can also say that battery life is 2x better than with kitkat...
again, if someone is able to help me with the lte on rogers, I appreciate.

not sure why... but LTE works now... tested at 50mbits!
more funny is that I did not change anything...
today I when for some shopping and when I was checking the phone I notices that for the 1st time with this image it had LTE instead of H/H+.
I thought that perhaps somehow at how I had lost LTE reception... but no, for my surprise, when I got home there it was again... LTE.

open gapps is also good choice (tested) and deleting nfc app

I have E988 model and have not problem with Deepsleep. I wrote about my friend. He has E980 and his phone did not Deepsleep on all custom ROMs. Suspend_backoff wakelock did not allow Deepsleep.
Madmacks modem only for E980 models not for E988. He did not use Gapps and NFC deletted.
But his E980 Deepsleep on Stock based ROMs.

One thing to mention. It is crucial to start on stock jelly bean. This is where Madmacks modem is from.
I don't know why but there's a problem with kit kat's modem that will prevent deepsleeping in custom roms.
An observation, Madmacks modem is e980 specific or AT&T specific.
For any other model, for flashing a modem you first need to learn how to extract it, then zip it.
There's a sticky thread by @aryan1312 under android development, where he teaches how to do this.

There is official kitkat 4.4.1. File name E98620A_00.kdz search on google or here. As for custom rom kitkat if I remember cyanogenmod had serious problem with camera that stop working after one use and you need to find a way around this problem for example app that reset camera after every use. But where to find Cyanogenmod after official servers were shoot down? I have no idea. Different roms I didn't test.

Overall I really like it and I have been using it for about a week now and have had virtually no issues. I paired it with Xposed and G3 Tweaksbox and it is great. To prevent the system from saying root is detected I also installed RootCloak (Xposed module) and that stopped it from saying it (if you try the ROM you will eventually know what I am referring to here.).

Try flashing back to stock and then reroot it again and install a custom ROM. As for the battery, you may have gotten a cheap knockoff version. Try to get a zerolemon battery for it.
