Im proud to present
Bump!for LG Optimus G
Hi OG community. Bump for Optimus G is here.
Now OG users can use Custom Roms & Recoveries on LG locked Bootloader with ease!
What is Bump?
Its a kind of hack for LG Stock bootloader. We can call it new unlock method!
You can flash anything that's been Bump'd, and Bump'ing a boot/recovery image is easy to do.
Two things you need to have for flashing custom roms:
1. Custom kernel- 2.Custom recovery on LG locked bootloader?
Now both are possible

How to Bump Recovery & Boot(kernel) images?
Unfortunately the bump site is gone. But we can use the Bump tool instead (by mronly1love).
Download it from attachments.
Put "boot.img" into bump folder and run "bumped.bat"
or
open cmd and type: bump.exe boot.img or recovery.img
or
drag *.img on bump.exe and drop it

Does it mean that we can flash CyanogenMod based Roms on Stock Bootloader?
Yes. I can confirm it since I've booted up with lollipop roms with no problem.

How about Custom Recoveries?
It works! Entered Philz touch & CWM touch on stock Bl easily.

How to enter Recovery on stock Bootloader while Off?
Hardreset:
Turn off the phone. Press and hold power & volume down until you see first LG logo. While holding volume down ,Release Power & press-hold it again until you see the hardreset screen.
Now press power 2 times & the phone will enter to the Recovery.
Click to collapse
Won't it perform a factory/hard reset?
Yes & No:
If you have already flashed custom recovery, then there is no stock recovery to do that.
-You can enter to Philz touch & CWM this way safely.
-But not for TWRP v2.x.
Remember that TWRP will perform a factory reset(without wiping media(sdcard)) anytime you flash it!
-TWRP V3 doesn't perform factory reset anymore, but some versions of it don't work correctly, a working one built by dadi11 is here:
Bump-Folder
-Don't flash back LG Stock Recovery.
-So BACKUP YOUR ROM & PERSONAL DATA at least for first time entering to each Recovery

How to Bump your CustomRoms?
You need to Bump the Boot.img, which is inside the CustomRom.zip
-- Extract the boot.img. Bump it. Replace it with the old one in the Rom.zip
or
-- Extract the "boot.img". Bump it. Copy your Bumped "boot.img" to the "Bumped_boot.zip" in attachments. Flash it after flashing the Rom.

NOTE: Remember to keep "Fix recovery loop.zip"(by akahroba) in your phone.
Sometimes your phone continues to reboot into recovery (Mostly happens on Jellybean bootloader not Kitkat). Flashing this zip WILL fix the problem easily. Of course you can flash KDZ instead!

Although an unlocked bootloader is a better choice, Locked bootloader has it's own advantages for the ones who stay on stock based roms like myself...
Yest i did complete KDZ and on stock now with rooted & locked bootloader ....Is it possible for me to use bump now ?

Yep. Bump your desired recovery & rom( bump it's boot) with bump tool.
I've already uploaded bumped Philz touch.
You can flash the recovery with flashify app
Flash your rom
Nothing else you need to do

so it flashes a custom rom based on stock kernel? we still need to make our own builds before or use the avaiable ones, right?

That's only replacing an extracted & bumped boot file back in it's rom.zip which takes 30 secs (now your roms is signed-like G3 roms). This custom rom will bootup on both locked & unlocked bootloader.
Also no different it's stock based rom or cyanogen mod based.
The tool will only bump the boot. It does NOT change your boot.img

I've described everything clearly in the op.
Flash a bumped cwm or Philz touch & as long as you don't flash another unbumped Recovery, you don't need to be worry. No problem if you flash another recovery.zip in recovery If you've already bumped its recovery.img.

Confirmed working.
Using Sling Kahroba on locked BL.
Offline charging is working
Thanks for the tool!
Cheers,
Rae
Everytime we switch from one rom to another we have to bump the boot.img first before we flash through philz/cwm?
Once you bump the boot.img of a ROM (and added it on the ROM's zip), you can flash it on locked bootloaders. You don't have to bump it again if you want to re-flash it.
Just make sure that every ROM you will install on locked bootloaders is bumped. :good:
Cheers,
Rae

Do you really want me to provide my bootloader relocker from recovery?!
There you go! Don't flash bumped twrp. It will perform factory reset.
The zip itself does flash Philz & boot & everything
https://mega.nz/#!EBZ3iBRQ!i2ql-rQlR3vv_V4luTt-Me7xofrZaoWDbOsYxv98fJw
But consider the bootloader is from 20aOpenEU. It has been tested on 20A openeu many times. It MUST work on the other regions kdz... If anyone wanna use it, they must reply the result
Then I will provide my bootloader unlocker from recovery
Also do NOT copy

I have a build a kernel image which lower the voltage and overclock to 1.67G.
But I cannot post on development thread, i post it here.
I used the ramdisk from the unlock bootloader's bootimg, but it is not the original L01E ramdisk.
Can some one provide the stock bootimg? Or provide the bootimg address of the stock rom tot file.
Extract the zip
volume up key + power key to enter bootloader( little kernel or fastboot mode)
fastboot flash boot bootimg
if you failed you can always flash back the bootimg which you installed when you unlock your bootloader.
/////////////////////////////////////////////////
Update new kernel Mar 04 2013
Changes :
1.Up to 1.8 G when running two cores and down to 1.67G when running four cores to improve stability.
2.GPU overclock to 487.5MHz ( improve GLBenchmark by 10%)
3.Replace CPU governor with intellidemend.
4.Lower cpu voltage and bus voltage.
5.L2 cache is overclaocked from 1134Mhz to 1350Mhz
Significant battery improvement can be seen on this kernel.
Known Issue.
DVB one seg is broken due to porting of DVB-T
Please report any bug or unstable issue to improve this kernel.
Thanks.

The unlocked bootloader is fine with fastboot protocol to flash the bootimg.
Which is used to replace the bootimg to root your device.
It is same thing bootimg when you root your device, just with different cpu clock.

Because I removed LG drivers. The battery is actually fully charged, but did not report to Android APIs.
The LG drivers are added back in this new kernel.
Thanks.

first of all, make sure your lgog is rooted and unlocked.
then follow the instruction from the thread.. flash the ROM first, then flash the kernel.
but I would suggest you don't do it because by looking at your post, I don't think you know anything about what you intended to do.
read more about custom roms and kernel before trying, don't regret later when you brick your phone..

First, you have to root and unlock your phone. You can skip the flash steps TWRP.
Next, download the file and put 2 Pacman rom and kernel Kite V16 in memory.
Now, reboot the phone and Recovey mode.
wipe done 3 times. Then flash ROM and Kernel 2 files.
Reboot and enjoy.
I suggest using cwm or cwm touch. Twrp gives errors sometimes.

try your luck in kite kernel thread, maybe someone have done similar things like what you did and have a solution for that.
I have no idea as I am still using the stock rom and haven't have the intention to flash my phone yet, so din't do much research on it.
Still the same advice, make sure to read & search before start doing anything. Cry won't help when you bricked your phone.

As i understand after i get new recovery i can flash kernel and new rom from recovery mode?
How do i revert to android 2.3.4 4.0.2.A.0.62 if i dont like new rom / kernel?

First of all you have to unlock the bootloader and you have to be on ICS
Then you can flash the kernel[with flashtool].
after flashing the kernel u can enter the recovery by presing the volume down buton until it brings you to cwm.
and the follow the instruction for instaling the rom
Good luck

If my bootloader is "unlock available: yes" is that ok?
Will the fusion kernel 5.4 work with default rom's ? like GB 2.3?
how do i revert to stock kernel after flashing fusion? Emma?
Is recovery stored on a seperate partition that is not the rom / system partition? so i will always have recovery available?
Thank you!

Yes it is, but you must unlock it.[search in the forum]
fusion is for jelly bean roms, not for GB so far i know,.
if you want to revert to from ICS to GB you just have to flash the ftf.file from gb .62
if you have any problem tell me i will try to help you.
press thanks if i helped you!

Bootloader can be unlocked
No. Fusion works with only custom JB ROM. For stock ROM use stock kernel.
You can use EMMA or Flashtool to flash an FTF file. Note that this will wipe your personal data.
No. The recovery that you're using now can either be stored on /system partition or merged with kernel. The one stored in /system requires root before you can install it.

Hey i got it done! i love sjb 7 its sick fast!
I first unlocked bootloader, after which the phone would no longer go past SE logo ( i had installed CWM for default rom and bootlocker blew up the kernel probobly)
after which i flashed Fusion 5.4 with fastboot
and then i applied SJB from SD card.
I did not think it would be that easy. it was.

Hello,
This thread to share with you this zip that contains the originals partitions of D80220H version, all except the recovery, and wich is prerooted.
It is only for those who are under bumped recovery(@blastagator TWRP ).
Before the flash, wipe system, data, cache and dalvick recommended.
After the flash you'll have a pure stock prerooted D80220H open euro firmware which keeps your custom bumped recovery.
Download

md5: f72557eeb2db0a1ff8d5c5ad404a32f3
Q/A:
Q: Does this rom contains bumped kernel ?
A: No need, this is just the original 20H kernel that contains the original LG signature (so no need to inject original LG signature with Bump!)
Q: What is included in the zip ?
A: all D80220h originals partitions (modem, aboot,boot,laf,sbl1,rpm,persist,dbi,cust,tz), except the recovery.
To be more clear, because that was asked later in the thread, baseband=modem, boot=kernel, aboot =bootloader. So yes it contains pure stock 20H booloader, pure stock not modified 20H kernel and 20H baseband (fr modem, that can be easily changed after if you want/need).
Q; It's for 16 or 32 Go ?
A: Both
Q: Can i flash these rom if i have JB bootstack (JB bootloader and old partitions (aboot,laf,sbl1,rpm,persist,dbi,tz) ?
A: Yes if you have a bumped recovery (@blastagator TWRP )
Q: how to acces to bumped custom recovery with hard keys, in this configuration (20H bootloader) ?
A: Since the phone turned off, press power + vol down, release as soon as the logo appears and then hold vol down + vol up.
Q: if i want to return to old bootstack, how to proceed please ?
A: After a lot of test, best and shorter way is to use @Cloudyfa autorec. It downgrades bootloader (aboot) to Jelly Bean, replace the recovery by a lokified TWRP 2.7.0.0, and replace the kernel by a lokified one. It flashes laf (download mode) too. You can update TWRP and/or kernel after, if you wish.
Q: if i want to return to kitkat bootstack after a try on JB bootstack, how to proceed please ?
A: I made this zip that can be flashed from recovery. Before flashing it, you must have flashed bumped recovery => (@blastagator TWRP ).
It contains 20H originals bootstack (bootloader + others partitions => aboot,tz,sbl1,rpm,persist,laf,dbi) + originals 20H kernel with original 20H system/lib/modules:
It can be download here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934522374
Thank's to:
Codefire team for Bump!
Great job! :good: works great on my device, thanks a lot :victory:
Great! You're Awesome mate :good:
Interesting.. Is it possible to have kk bootloader and 20h kernel combine with cloudy g3 2.1 rom?

I do not know, but in theory it should be possible, I think.
It would be better to put the question to @Cloudyfa
Care must be taken in system/lib/modules, because these files are modified with a lokified kernel that boot behind a bootloader JB.
What I am saying is that if we interchange the lokified kernel with original 20H, we need probably replace the modules file by the stock one too.
However, it would be better to seek expert advice on the subject of @Cloudyfa

Ouch, I thought it as simple as flashing kk bootloader and 20h kernel on top of custom Rom. I almost ask you to create flashable 20h kernel [emoji4]
it's seems so well. but a few questions. can we use this with art (if there is not, how can we use with art) and add the recent app buttons without xposed?

I did it for my first prerooted D80220H that contained lokified Cloudy KC kernel, the zip is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58564605&postcount=104
This zip contains 20 H kernel + 20H laf + 20H modules + 20h bootloader.
That's enough on my rom and it works well on it because I know this rom flashed the others partitions part of the boot stack (dbi,persist,rpm,sbl1,tz), so the device already contains the 20H version of them.
For other stock based rom, it would be better to add 20H dbi,persist,rpm,sbl1,tz because i can not know if these partitions (dbi,persist,rpm,sbl1,tz) where updated on the device from JB to KK one day.
edit: i change the zip for including all needed partitions for all situations (20 H kernel + 20H modules + 20h bootloader + 20 H dbi,persist,rpm,sbl1,tz,laf)
It's hard to explain and I do not speak English very well, I hope I can make myself understood
If we look at @dorimanx flashable zip for migrate to 20H bootloader we can see it integrates dbi,persist,rpm,sbl1,tz + laf
http://www.dorimanx.com/LG/default-kernels/KK-20H-D802-BOOT-LOADER.zip
and in his flashable zip for migrate to stock 20H kernel it integrates 20h kernel (boot) and system/lib/modules
http://www.dorimanx.com/LG/default-kernels/ORIGINAL-KK-20H-D802-KERNEL-KK-aboot.zip
please, it's impossible to enter into recovery with hard keys...why?

Sorry, I'm very busy because I have to take care of a neighbor in agony (terminal cancer), so I answer briefly. I will keep this thread, including by completing Part question / answer as soon as available, thank you for your indulgence.
To be sure you have everything you need, you can flash the two @dorimanx package (bootloader + kernel )
http://www.dorimanx.com/LG/default-kernels/KK-20H-D802-BOOT-LOADER.zip
http://www.dorimanx.com/LG/default-kernels/ORIGINAL-KK-20H-D802-KERNEL-KK-aboot.zip
because if you want to flash original 20H kernel you must have 20h (KK) bootloader (bootstack) too (and of course bumped recovery), assuming you are on 20H stock (?)

It should not reboot between the bootloader flash and the kernel flash...
I have already given the method to have recovery access with hard keys a few posts earlier...
edit: I see you've edited your post. Nice to see all is ok now. It's a very difficult situation with my neighbor and his family. You can check the thank's button for thanking. Miracle lived for seven year, but now this is the end. Peace

Hi guys
Bootloader unlockers/lockers from recovery are here.
Easy method to unlock & relock Optimus G bootloader.
Good things about these zips:
1. No running OS is needed.
2. You don't have to be on lg stock roms.
3. Work much faster & easier. Less than a minute.
4. You will still have custom recovery after locking your bl.
How to use?
Using bumped recovery, flash them like other zips in recovery.
Don't have recovery?
Flash a bumped recovery img (inside of the attached zips) with an app like Flashify or Kernel Adiutor or etc.
Note: BL unlockers flash unlocked bootloader + Philz/CWM recovery. Booting up on unlocked BL needs unlocked kernel.
So in stock roms, don't forget to flash an unlocked kernel, like unlocked stock kernel or solid kernel or etc...
Anyway in case of any problem, there is no worry because you can always access to Philz touch(for E975) or CWM(for other variants) recovery.
I could only test E975 ones. Other variants unlockers must also work. But you are the testers...
Mirror links (files folder):
https://mega.nz/#F!4JwWCJZB!3jFrgKSdRhAhdwLadD_YaQ
Please Note:
1. I'm waiting for your feedbacks. Please give feedback with name of your variants.
2. I didn't have stock bootloader files for other variants, so I could make bootloader locker for E975 only.
Some guides:
1. How to flash boot/recovery .img in Kernel Auditor?
In the Backup section of the app, use Flash IMG button, then select your .img file (extract them from zips), then select the partition to flash (boot/recovery).
2. You can use your own bumped recovery img, using the bump tool
3. On locked bootloader you can enter to recovery with hardreset method.
4. After flashing Makoz30f Flasher (not after unlocking, unlocking is ok), it will also flash bootloader tz.img & rpm.img.
Flashing Mako rpm.img will cause false heat issue on LG roms so your screen brightness will not go further than 63%(& cpu clock speed further than 1188000). E975 unlocker & relocker zips will replace tz & rpm partitions with stock ones. So you can use them to fix this problem.
Whats mean stockboot?
Btw thanks, no instal freegee to unlock bl , nice job

for other variants of og, after unlocking, you need to flash an unlocked kernel, but for E975, if you use the zip that has stockboot, you dont need to do anything & it flashes the kernel for you.

Since Gee3 rom has better speed & LTE support in our stock roms, I'm making Gee3 v1.3 & I'm testing it, but with this kind of statistics , it seems there's no motivation no replays about its working on other variants...

MMK instruction
Hi MMK,
I'm a total newbie and it's the first time i've ever flashed a device, my E975 is completely stock (but i've root privilege and su is installed). I've installed flashify and downloaded a zip (i don't have a special kernel at the moment do you suggest stockboot). Now i've unzipped the folder on the phone but i'm uncertain about what to do now, there are a lot of images and i really don't know where to flash what. Can you suggest a more detailed procedure?
Thank you for the effort and thanks in advance.
great job bro ^_^

Hi, If your bootloader isn't already unlocked:
In flashify you must choose recovery image from flash section, then choose the Philz.recovery.img you've extracted.
Then press reboot to recovery from options & simply flash the zips in recovery mode to lock or unlock your bootloader.
Make sure to use your own variant zip.

If you want stock based roms like Sling Kahroba,
Before unlocking, flash a bumped recovery & install the bumped Sling Kahroba... Easy.
PS: you can't use lockers because they're only for E975 variant.
