International ROMs - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

I see there are international ROMs which will work on the t-mobile s6 edge. But based on my reading and if I understood correctly, wifi calling and fingerprint scanner won't work on these ROMs?
Wanted to try one but those are important features to me

The only thing that you will miss is WiFi Calling which will only work on a Tmobile based rom. As far as fingerprint is concerned the only way it won't work is if you aren't on a 5.1.1 bootloader and baseband. If your baseband version is COF6 or COF8 you're good. I'm currently on a Tmobile normal S6 rom on my Edge because I personally like having 5 signal bars and VoLTE. You will be missing the Edge features though which is why I'm contemplating going back to my international rom. Unfortunately there are no Tmobile S6 Edge based roms so you will have to compromise. But if you absolutely need WiFi calling then you will have to run a Tmobile based rom.

Got it, and thanks. Yeah unfortunately I need wifi calling because I don't have reception in some areas of my house. That sucks hopefully some devs will put out a t-mobile base rom soon. I think I saw on another thread that one is in the works

[Q] Flashing GT-N7100 with T-Mobile ROM for Wi-Fi Calling??

Hello all,
I have an international version Note II (GT-N7100). I am on T-Mobile in an area where most of the towers now use the 1900mHz band. I'm wandering if I can flash a T-Mobile branded ROM to get the use of Wifi Calling, which I've cherished the ability to have (sometimes with hacked apks and libs), on previous phones. Would flashing one of these ROMs work well with my version of the phone? Or if even better, is there a package I can get like THIS that will push the wifi calling to my phone?
If it is workable for me to flash one of these ROMs, should I be flashing a radio as well? Or any other tips to make this conversion work out?
Do not flash an LTE Note 2 modem on the non-LTE version, they have different hardware. I know there were some porting guides to modify ROMs to go from one to the other, so this won't be a straight-forward flash.
You should be able to flash t-mobile roms and get the Wi-Fi calling feature.
I am using it on my AT & T note 2 and Wi-Fi calling is working flawlessly.
Try Tweaked ROM from T mobile note 2 section and make sure you keep your existing RADIO/Modem.

Thank you both for the replies. I will try to get one working. Had some issues for a couple days recovering from trying Android 4.3... lol I like to experiment.
Curious as well
I bought this international version as well I live in the states and have been using it with att but now I'm about to switch to tmobile. I have rooted the phone but I am curious if I can flash it with a stock tmobile version of firmware (where ever that is) and use it with our services here. I understand Ill need to reset the counter and all that crap too. I have experience with rooting and installing CFW's but having a tmobile stock firmware that will accomplish things like wifi calling and ota updates would be very beneficial at least until that final firmware update is released then I will probably root it again.. real shame they wont let you OTA update just for a simple root but then again I guess with warranties and law suits and the chance of screwing up your possible custom firmware maybe its a good thing. Anyways point me in the right direction HAHA. The phone is amazing so far and works flawlessly with the towers here. Thanks. I checked the tweaked firmware for tmobile seems like it might work like you said but Im extra cautious at times and so I would like to know If what i stated above will work ok or not ???? Its not a huge deal if i cant have ota updates but yeah I would def like to have wifi calling and maybe some of tmobiles other things but yeah Looking forward to some advice
Same issue here

WIFI calling on unlocked att s3

i have an unlocked s3 from att on my tmobile account. It works great since all the towers near me have been refarmed for the 1900 band. But my new job I get no service but have wifi. Is it possible to use t-mobile's wifi calling on this s3, or would I have to get a t-mo version?
I'm thinking if you flash a T-Mobile Rom, it should work. No guarantees though.

Should you have a Touchwiz rom like Wicked, you can add the T-Mo APK and be on your way.
Maybe. If any dependent files were removed it may still not work.

If you flash a T-Mobile based touchwiz rom you will be able to use WiFi calling as long as the feature wasn't removed.. I say that from experience

Tmobile on verizon note 3

I have a verizon note 3. I am on tmobile now. Using a jelly bean rom, I have everything working except for wi fi calling? Anyone know how to get it? or how to load a tmobile rom on the verizon note 3?

I'm using my phone on Tmobile right now. I just need mk2 radios to get lte to work same time as receiving calls. And correct answer.

where you able to get wifi calling? do you have a link to the rom you used?
thanks
Verizon has world phones, that have some GSM capabilities, they also have SIM cards, because LTE is GSM tech and SIM is part of LTE specs, so yeah it should work at least on some frequencies. The only ROM that has WiFi calling, as far as I know is T-mo. There was some guy claiming he loaded pretty much all different ROM's he could get into his Note and it worked, but don't remember details, do search maybe in International Note 3 forum and see if T-mo is mentioned. Not sure if you care, but right now loading ROM's could trigger Knox flag, so maybe research this before hand and I have a feeling soon we may have some new breakthrough, when loading any ROMS is no problem, but not sure if Knox flag can ever be reversed, once tripped, there is no way for now.
BTW I'm not sure if you're aware, once you have WiFi calling, you can call home from around the World on WiFi for free. Don't let other people call you, but you can make free international calls home as long as you're on WiFI. It does not work for local calls. That is outside the new international calling plan T-mo has.
My Verizon Note 3 worked somewhat on T-Mobile
I had my Verizon Note 3 functional on T-Mobile for about a week but ended up buying a used T-Mobile Note 3 after having random service issues. With the correct APN settings on the V Note 3, 4G worked and I was able to browse just fine but the phone was not reliable. Quite often after making a call, it would switch away from 4G (sometimes to Edge) and would take minutes to re-establish a reliable data connection on 4G. During this time, whether it was possible to make another call was a hit or miss. Even when it said 3g, or Edge, calling was sometimes not possible. Usually I would wait a while before trying again. Data was in and out at times. I was on the latest official Android release: 4.4.4. And other users with T-Mobile phones were not having similar issues in the same location so I know it was not location specific.
I thought about downgrading to another rom and rooting, then enabling LTE band 4, but I wasn't sure that would fix the service-related issues. Now with the T-Mobile version, I have zero service problems. We had a similar experience on T-mobile with a Verizon Galaxy S5 and after getting the T-Mobile version, the problems were fixed.
So, IMO, the V Note 3 does work on GSM networks like T-Mobile. How reliable it works compared to the other Carrier specific models is debatable.

ezKAT BETA flashed it is decent but modem is slow as hell

Hi all, couple of months ago, I flashed ezKAT beta into my AT&T note ii which is now under tmobile network. I notice tmobile is slower than AT&T and not as good as coverage but lot of times, the data connection is really bad/slow and prone to drop interrupt.
Even sometimes calls will drop and wil not take place.
I was wondering if there is due to modem? Is there a separate modem module available? Anything can be improved in this regard?
Here is the information:
4.4.2
BB ver: I317UCUBMK6
KERNEL: 3.0.31-1398348
BUILD NO: EZKAT BETA
Thanks.,
T-Mobile is crap. Just get used to it if you choose to stay with them. They suck even at their best they are less than 1/3 the speed and connection of att. I know this because I used to be on T-Mobile.
Also check your modem. Make sure it's the newest. That will help a little.

yes the connection seems to stuck though. I used to have ATT which is pretty good but they got long lines whenever i need to have service issues. I am sick of them. Any alternatives?
i also restored the stock rom. i always had issues with the custom rom, there is always something breaking does not work and issue here and there so it is a combination of bad rom and bad service. I know the custom rom naturally not to be stable as said in disclaimer but i hoped it will workout. Latest deal breaker was I got this bluetooth selfie and tried to connect to note 2 running ezkat and it failed. I flashed stock rom and it worked right away. May be it is for some people who can take it in but not me. I will probably never use custom rom again.
T-Mobile varies in each region. Sure, its coverage is not as widespread as Verizon or AT&T. There are many dead regions in my state. But, in my immediate area and especially home and work, the data speeds were just fine. I also used an AT&T unlocked Note 2 and the custom ROMs worked great. My son now uses my Note 2 as a minitablet and eZKaat works fine

WiFi calling on 920f roms

I tried the noble ROM but I couldn't find any WiFi calling option . Does anyone know of any s7 port Roms that have WiFi calling? I really like the panels and overall aesthetics of s7 Roms but need WiFi calling .

Just spitballing here, but I think N910F/G phones are international models. I don't know if that feature is available overseas and whether it would work the same as it does here in the states. It also appears to be carrier dependent for its implementation, even though it appears the technical standards may be the same across carriers.
