The export file size is ridiculously small. Disappointing.

You did ask for a free dmg editor... Not specifying on app export size and all that jazz

PC, Mac, yes. Android, it's free. but it's a very cut down version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adobe.lrmobile

Free 30 days trial. Then it requires a subscription.

dont use phone editor apps for DNG file use lightroom for desktop for best results

While I agree that desktop software yields better results, I do find useful to be able to ocasionally edit a DNG file, especially for low light noisy/mushy shots.
With that in mind, my app of choice is PS Express, it allows to recover detail that gets lost in jpegs. I have tried Photomate and it produces slightly sharper images, but color balance is worse and the interface is much much clunkier.
Update: after some further testing, I found that PhotoMate color reduction is much better, and this is needed with the DNGs produced by the G4

Please recommend an app to edit OpenOffice docs

I don't use MS Office so the Polaris Office app shipped with the GS2 is a little useless to me.
Can anyone recommend a good office app that can edit odt, ods (OpenOffice / LibreOffice) files formats? The few I found on the market don't seem that good so I'm looking for a recommendation of the most complete app from real world use experience.
I'm actually surprised to see that an open standard document format is so badly supported.

Song Title Editing

Just a quick question that I havent come across in the forums. Im an organization freak and I just wanted to know how I can edit the titles of my songs to change them if they arent properly titled. I tried through a file explorer and even better, through root explorer but it hasnt worked. If someone can help it would be appreciated.

I share the same freakish obsession. My library has over 10,000 titles and all of them are perfectly organized and file named.
The answer is not Android. It is a PC application called MediaMonkey. It will auto-organize all of your music, tag it, rename files and convert them on the fly as it syncs with your mobile devices. There is no better solution at any price, and it is free. Even iTunes users switch after trying it, and they are usually too stubborn to admit that iAnything is not the best.

Haha, yes I can only agree. But thanks this has been something that has been bothering me everytime I open up my music application. Its greatly appreciated. Ill be sure to check it out and report back

http://www.tuneupmedia.com/ tuneup try it out I bought this like 4 years ago

I, too, use media monkey. Rather than fixing each song manually, I auto tag from the web, to ensure I get cover art as well. Just stinks to get started, but now I ensure everything is in order as I ingest the songs into my library.
Yeah, I tried tune up but media monkey is free so I cant argue with that. Im getting used to it as we speak.

For this phase of getting your files in order, look in the directory view and find a folder called Files To Edit (or something like that). It shows various folders of files that are missing important information.

Okay, works great thanks for the help.
Btw, while we're on the topic is there any mp3 downloaders any of you would recommend? I use an app that doesnt really have many of the songs I look for.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
Sorry, I'm no help with that. I always buy full CD's and rip them to FLAC. It may be old school, but I have never found an mp3 source that was anything but unsatisfactory. I do convert to mp3, but I use VBR and a high bitrate.

Ahhh, I understand. Well to be honest, l am about to do the same. Itll be much more convienent in many ways.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
Depends on the quality you want and how much of an audiophile you are. You could use tubemate to simply convert any video on youtube to a mp3. I have done that with some songs I just can't find elsewhere.
What kind of music are you looking for?
Well I used to do the same with youtube except taking every single song individually grew to be a pain. Im just looking for anything that I feel like listening to at the moment. Im currentley in the process of downloading some of System of a Down's albums. Its usually whatever im in the mood for. But sometimes I use an app on the market and it downloads the song yet the artist and the album are incorrect.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
Ah, gotcha, yep, that's the price you have to pay. I tend to make channels in Last.fm, and let it play music similar to bands I like. Found countless new (to me) bands that way.

There's an Android app called MyTunes Lite that lets you edit ID tags on the phone.

PDF reader with a good pdf selection interface

Hey

I just checked out that app. Its very smooth. I hate stutter when flipping through pages. The iPad excels with PDFs and epub files. Annotation with Mantano requires the paid version though.

Oh, I've been using the premium version far too long to remember that. The only downside with Mantano is the price I guess.

I don't care about price. I like to help out development of apps by contributing to the Dev. $7 could be wasted on something else, so why not an app that I like?

Most of my time in nexus 7 is spent on reading and annotating PDF files. There is unfortunately no single PDF solution. My favorite is ezpdf reader. Lots of options for editing PDF files. I also use repligo and iannotate . must say most are not free.

Until that time, iAnnotate is the best in my opinion, it's free.
Of course ezpdf reader is the best.

Internet Browser That Uses Least Bandwidth?

Hey guys, I work offshore and usually the signal is pretty weak and mostly on EDGE. So i was hoping if you could point me to the right browser that uses the least amount of bandwidth or a method to tweak the browser. I'm not much concerned about image quality or full desktop Web page layout, just as long as I am able to read and access the contents such as online banking, eBay, etc. Any input on this is appreciated.

Have you tried Opera? It has a feature specifically for using on low bandwidth. I think it scales down images and focuses on text I instead

Yes i do have both the Opera and Opera Mini version installed. But even with the mini it tends to take forever to render the webpages. Is there any browser out there that prerenders a webpage on their servers and sends it to you on the browser with the lowest image quality? It seems like the best solution.
I believe Chrome now has an option to proxy and reduce load sizes.
Alternatively, you could always use a browser that can disable images.

Bow that YouTube update the app and it no longer supports 1080 or 1440, does anyone have a working apk that activates those two resolutions? I found the apk of the new material design version but the highest resolution is still 720p! I hope they really fix this soon! Anyone have any info on this?
