I have rooted my LG G4 and installed BetterBatteryStats 2.1.0.0_B5.
Installed it as system app and after I reboot I get this message.
This is a companion app to BetterBatteryStats. It was copied to /sysyem ......
anyone know how to fix this?

I've had the same issue and then I noticed if I press the back button at that page it goes to the normal home screen. Let me know if that helps.

You still should be able to get into recovery by holding down power button and volume up key. If this does not work, make sure you have fastboot unchecked in settings.
nvm, fixed it.
my fast boot was on. donno how. but turn it off and make a recovery.

Bootloop on every reboot now..

I've had my G4 for a while and it's been rooted and running Xposed for well over a month without trouble. I rebooted the phone yesterday and it went into a bootloop. I let it churn for a while before finally removing the battery, fortunately it started up right after but had to go through the tedious "Android is starting. Optimizing app 1 of ...." screen before I could use the device.
I hadn't changed much of anything lately and I really don't know what could be causing this. I suspect it could possibly be related to the recent Android System Webview update that was pushed out by the Google Play app but that is only a guess.
To correct this I will likely remove Xposed... if that doesn't work I'll have to restore an unrooted image.
This occurring with anyone else??
My phone gets stuck on the red "Verizon" boot screen if I select "power off and restart" instead of just powering the phone down and using the hardware power button. When you run into your issue, are you doing "power off and restart" too?
Pulling the battery and powering on the device seems to resolve the issue (for now) when that happens, but it doesn't happen if I just do a normal shutdown & turn-on. I've been running Xposed for over a month too, and haven't loaded any new modules recently except for G4 Tweakbox (the issue was happening before I used G4 TB, so I know that app isn't the culprit)
FWIW: Verizon 10B & Xposed v74
Yeah I'm using the reboot option from the power menu. I'll try power off... then restart manually when I get home from work. Thanks for the suggestion!
EDIT:
You were correct, Thanks!
I had the issue of staying on the red verizon screen, removed sd card and it booted up. Swapped to a better card and no issues. Just my .02

My pleasure! Glad I could help since that reboot vs. power-off & manual restart was the only thing that ended up being a possible solution for my issue too. I couldn't tell you why that's happening or how we can fix it, but at least we know how to avoid the issue from happening in the first place now!!

LG G4 won't let me reset phone from recovery mode

Hi All. I am trying to fix a phone that is stuck on the LG boot screen. I have tried to put the phone into recovery via the volume- and power buttons. I get to the screen that says delete all user data and I press yes and get to the second screen to reconfirm the delete. I press yes and nothing happens. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can try next? I want to reset this phone for my friends son. I suspect he might have over heated it playng games. Thanks in advance.

Try resetting the phone? Hold power for several seconds and it reboots
Held down power button for for almost a minute. No reboot for me
If I press power button and volume down it will take me to boot menu and from there have to reboot the phone. That's the only thing that works .
But I am curious to know what's causing this .

No idea but that first notification in your screenshot looks like some app/game you installed or just straight up malware. I'm guessing this problem wasn't there right after your clean flashed RR and before you started installing apps?
Apps were installed from my backup. So no idea.
And that first notification is just a text essage and nothing more . Maybe will just start uninstalling apps that were not part of my backup and check .
Thanks for replying though :good:
No luck , still stuck with the same problem. Someone please try and suggest something.

The following steps will force a reboot, you can follow them if you get stuck in a bootloop again.
1. Press and hold power button for about 10 seconds or wait for several options to appear on screen.
2. Tap the Restart option. The phone should then restart.
I watched the video, did you already try pushing the restart button?

Indeed, this seems like an issue that is solved by fully powering the phone down; perhaps something in volatile memory preventing recovery by other means?
Regardless, it would seem that the problem itself is resolved. Are you aware of what you were doing before this happened?
