Hi, I had this issue, phone was keep booting, nothing worked, I tried volume up/down button + power, but as you can see in the video, nothing worked. After 3 hours, battery died , charged my phone and worked like nothing happened before. What could I do , let's say if this happens next time, how can I solve ?

The following steps will force a reboot, you can follow them if you get stuck in a bootloop again.
1. Press and hold power button for about 10 seconds or wait for several options to appear on screen.
2. Tap the Restart option. The phone should then restart.
I watched the video, did you already try pushing the restart button?

Indeed, this seems like an issue that is solved by fully powering the phone down; perhaps something in volatile memory preventing recovery by other means?
Regardless, it would seem that the problem itself is resolved. Are you aware of what you were doing before this happened?

This is my first post on the XDA forum. I registered only 2 try 2 have a reply 2 a problem that in my language (italian) is impossible to find out.
This is the best place for everything concerning android world so I hope to be lucky.
This morning my galaxy nexus, while I was playing @ paradise island, freezed and started to play several times a sound that was like an emergency (almost like the overheat processor beep in the computer cases - never heard that before). After this emergency beep the phone shutted off.
When I turned it on the Google logo appears but it start having gliches and reboot. This infinite times until the battery is removed. Sometimes it arrives to the colorful background but that times also it freeze (without gliches) and reboot.
Tryin 2 find out the problem I had a soft reset (battery off for 10 mins) but nothing.
I tried also an hard reset. The phone anyway after having selected RECOVERY MODE from the apposite menu start the google logo and when reaches the "red alert signal droid" the droid is gliched and the phone freeze and reboot. And start another time infinite reboots.
Someone know what kind of problem the phone have? It enters without problems in odin mode and the (I kind is called) bootload mode but don't start the recovery mode. I'm totally n00b, the phone is in fact stock, and I don't want 2 wait 1 month of assistance time if is a problem that can be resolved also @ home.
Please help me if you can and thanks for gifting me with your time.

Sorry to ask but I don't understand gliched, can you get in Stock Recovery (the "red alert signal droid" as you call it), push volume up and power at the same time and enter the recovery menu? Or not?

no I can't. The droid is gliched so the volume up + power combo doesn't work. The phone reboot some times. Some others times (like the trying I had now) the phone freezes.
Try flash the google stock images through fastboot, there are threads with instructions and links to everything you will need.
You should be able to fix whatever is wrong.

Tool kits are the wrong way to do things, it is better to know what is actually happening when you pick an option in a toolkit.

the problem is that I don't know anything of this stuff. I don't know how to start.
The toolkit guide is huge and I think i should do only 2 or 3 of the all listed operation...
For now i took only the kit, the pdanet for win 64 and the yakju 4.0.4 from the google page. I don't know how 2 put them on and in which order.

Not sure if this is different on other phones but for me to get to recovery its not Volume up + Power. Its Volume up + volume down + power (i.e. hold both volume buttons then hold power button until it vibrates or the google logo shows up)

Have you tried just doing a factory reset on the ICS your on to see if it clears anything up?
If you need it, Here<< is the post I used to downgrade to 3.2.1, keep in mind that you will most likely need to factory reset after the tablet reboots. It might hang on the android logo. Just power down then follow the hard reset from the recovery to get it to go.
Yes. I tried the factory reset but it still hangs up when using apps, browser, email, etc. Constant hang ups. Btw, I got the from downloaded but now it will not extract. Any ideas? I've tried win zip, unrar, and archidroid to no avail.

You don't extract it. You need to rename it "update.zip" (make sure not to rename it "update.zip.zip"). Place it on the root of a freshly formatted microSD card. Then put it in the powered down tablet. Press and hold simultaneously the power button, and the volume down rocker (the one closest to the corner), until the tab vibrates. Then release, and you will see the it finding and installing the update file. After it restarts, if it hangs on the android logo (give it 5-10 minutes), perform the factory reset.
Gotcha, so there is noway to load it using the native memory or internal memory on the device? Or would that be a no-no anyways in the case it crashes during loading lol?
Thanks in advance!

You never want to flash from internal memory, if something goes wrong you'll lose the file in the middle flashing right after your stuff is formatted. It may or may not format /data but if it does all of it, there goes internal SD.
Update.zip method is run from external SD I don't think it even checks internal SD when looking.

Ok. I see. But I'm still a little confused. I've finally got the file downloaded and placed on the sd card. Which I might add was ridiculous as apparently it can't be placed on there manually without placing the file on a pc and loading it that way. Nonetheless, how exactly do I flash it now. I have it named update.zip.
Sorry for the confused remarks and questions. I'm use to Windows and have little experience with Linux based platforms. It seems as if Acer intentionally locked a lot of features on the a100 such as host usb ports, movable file systems, etc. Unless I'm dreaming here lol. Either way I like the tablet for the price.
Thanks.

Omg, thank you so much for posting the links to get the HC 3.2 stock ROM! You are a lifesaver. I had issues after an update where the wifi on this tablet wouldn't connect to any router. I had almost given up until I found your post. Now I have ICS 4.0.3 on this thing!!!
I also have the same problem no one can answer.
OK. Finally got it... I think. Here's what I had to do. Because the rom download kept faulting out randomly on download, I ended up using my laptop to download a program called download accelerator plus (dap) from old version.com. I then used its download manager to complete the download. I know... crazy, but it did the trick. The rest was per the directions given by other users on xda.

This one is 3.2.1. Remember if you are gong from 4.0 to 3.2, after the update goes through and it reboots, it might hang on the android logo. You need to factory reset to get it back.
1. Place the rotation lock switch in the up position
2. Press and hold the Volume down button, which is located farthest from the rotation lock
3. With the Volume down button held, press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds then release it. Continue holding the Volume down button.
4. Once the tablet vibrates, switch the rotation lock on and off repeatedly while still holding the Volume down button.
5. Release the Volume down button and stop switching the rotation lock once the "Erasing Userdata..." message appears in the upper left corner of the screen
6. Once the factory reset has been completed your tablet will load to the Welcome screen.
7. Your Factory Data Reset has completed now follow the onscreen steps to setup your tablet.

It will work on any ROM, its built into the boot process, so yeah, use it on anything installed it'll reset.
Edit: I was assuming you meant the reset thing, not the process of downgrading.

Hi All,
I have a Xiaomi Redmi 1S running on MIUI 9 7.9.7 China Beta and TWRP as recovery, it was working fine. Couple of days earlier I removed the battery and inserted again the phone suddenly restarted and keep boot looping every 6 seconds. The phone will power on without pressing the power button when the battery is inserted. I could enter into the recovery mode by pressing the the Volume Up button, but it's no use because it's boot looping. Did anyone face any similar issue? Could it be a hardware problem? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
Try this:
1. Remove the battery
2. Charge the phone
3. press power button to open system (if not try to boot to recovery using this method)
4. power off again
5. insert the battry
6. charge it
7. while charging turn on the phone

I was gonna try this method, but now the phone works. NO idea what happened, I try to boot the phone to the fastboot but forgot to press the Volume down key and the phone booted. Initially I thought the power button is what causing the problems but after booting up, I tried several times restarting the phone and it works just fine. So unfortunately I can't reproduce the scenario which means I don't know what the problem is. If anyone facing similar issue, kindly check the Miui Forum link on my previous post which have a detailed guide. Thanks for checking out, have a nice day.
My redmi 7 is suddenly in a reboot loop. It cannot stop rebooting for an hour now and my power button also damaged please help me i have tons of work related data in there
Hi, I've successfully resuscitated my redmi 1W. The steps are the same except you have to select the redmi 1S rom from Xiaomi. LEt me know if you need help
The downside is that the phone now has a generic serial number. (If you know of now to reinsert the phone serial number, please let me know) So if you have apps that needs to detect the phone serial number, please do not follow these steps.
Redmi 1W recovery steps
First off, I did do a search, but as far as I can tell no one has had this problem so far.
This is all after modding using a tool kit: (i can't include the url but it is the toolkit by neisor on the oneplus forums)
tldr: phone stuck in bootloop, computer wont recognize the phone, maybe because it keeps shutting off and then booting to the 1+ logo, then shutting off again, would drivers help? what can I do about the volume up button?
So for a while my volume up button hasn't been working, and the mega unbrick post shows that I need to hold the volume up button for at least 25 seconds and while holding, plug my phone in. I have also seen some posts that say the volume up button could be a software issue, and the button itself could be working, and it is just not registering, as well as someone saying that you could take the back off and manually press the button, instead of using the bar on the outside of the phone (would this work?). I have gotten the button to work in the past by pressing the volume up button to the side instead of straight in, but I haven't been able to get it to work since my phone got bricked.
Another issue: my phone is stuck in a boot loop, I can't access fastboot, and I'm unsure of recovery because my volume up button is not working. would it be worth it to deal with the constant vibrating to try to get it to recovery?
I have been able to shut the phone off by holding the power button for something like a minute and a half, though.
This is my first post, and if I have broken any rules I am very sorry, but I need help and am tired of not having a phone.
Thank you everyone,
Mark
Edit: this is what I did to root the phone:
1. download the toolkit
2. unlock bootloader (when fastbooting the phone said unlocked at the bottom, and a message about not being secure showed every time I rebooted the phone)
3. flashed twrp (no issues, still booted, recovery went to twrp. for some reason I had to flash multiple times as every now and then recovery would revert to stock op, although I did make a backup through twrp)
4. send supersu zip file to phone, install using twrp (phone would not boot, op logo stayed on phone for 2 hrs + until I rebooted to fastboot and tried to reinstall the backup I made, still nothing)
5. Try magisk (still stuck on op logo)
6. try to go back to stock, accidentally lock bootloader (now the phone is stuck in bootloop, don't know what to do from here as I cant get to fastboot and am unsure of recovery's accessibility.)
If you are sure you have a broken volume button, you need to replace it first in order to get the phone fix.
Correction:
Fastboot/bootloader = Power+Vol Up
Recovery = Power+Vol Down
This happened to me except I didn't even get anything appear on the screen -- the phone just periodically vibrated with the screen not even light up. I tried the reset toolkit which is meant to flash your phone back to normal using Qualcomm drivers or something, but that didn't work either. Eventually I had to send it to OnePlus who fixed it for free in under a week! They said the motherboard had failed.
I hope you get this fixed!
Thanks

There seems to be one in Texas. Anyway, contact OnePlus and they may try to solve it over the air.
Apart from that, did you install the Qualcom drivers properly? Even with your faulty power button, try to hold it down for 40+ seconds (for the phone to switch off) and then immediately hold down the volume up button for 10 seconds and then plug in the phone to the PC. I know I am merely repeating the instructions of Naman Bhalla in his Mega Unbrick Guide but it is crucial to do them correctly especially the installation of the drivers. Try these steps repeatedly because for some people, the phone gets recognised after repeated attempts. Or else replace the power button and then try these steps.
I had to use the Guide last month and successfully resurrected my dead phone.

Can you boot into recovery by pressing power+volume down buttons?
Update: Got phone to show on computer as qualcomm under coms and ports
So last night I went ahead and held volume up for about 20 seconds, then plugged the phone in, keeping the volume up button pressed the entire time. my phone stopped bootlooping and showed up as a qualcom device! So I have downloaded the new driver the stock os, and am going to proceed to try to unbrick my phone.
Wish me luck,

So far recovery has not been loading, just the bootloop, but I have gotten the phone to power off by pressing the power button for 40 seconds, and the volume up button plus plugging in does make the phone register as qualcom 9008 or something like that. Basically everything is going well so far, and the faulty vol button seems to have been a software bug, as it does work when plugging it in. I will try to get to fast boot, but it did not work last time.
Thank you,
Mark

Glad to hear that there is some progress. Best of luck and keep us informed.
Hello hello,
Someone on another website told me to visit you guys here!
My Problem is as follows:
So around 6 hours ago my Pixel 6 pro decided to just turn itself off. I tried various methods of starting it, pressing different button combinations etc but it is completely unresponsive. I tried charging it for several hours but that also didn't do anything. The screen won't turn on at all.
The only sign of life that I have is when connecting my phone to my PC via USB and pressing all 3 buttons (Power, Volume up and down) then a device called "Pixel Rom Recovery" will pop up for a little bit. It disappears when letting go of the power button or after around 20 seconds. If I keep pressing the buttons it will apear again and do the same thing.
What I basically wanna know is:
Is there a way to still recover my data?
Is there a way for me to save my device?
I got some more or less important stuff on my phone and it would be a shame if it all was gone.
How ****ed am I?
Thank y'all for all your help!
Hi,
If you cannot turn on your phone, it'll be difficult to help you. Pressing other 30 sec power button doesn't run ?
In parallel did you contact the Google pixel support ?
It's not to scare you, but I had the same issue on a old Samsung S8 and it was the motherboard 🫤
Hope it's not the case for you !!

So this is in fact just an undocumented Emergency Download Mode that Google Custom Exynos SoC has natively built into it in case of the rare event of a bad boot loader.
I’ve been doing an extreme amount of research lately about bootROM’s, how they communicate, the Driver rule support for interfacing with the phone while it’s Pixel ROM Recovery. The viewable name for the Exynos USB DownLoading mode.
Can I get you to dm me on Telegram? It might be helpful to have more people. I’ll be glad to help in getting this figured out. It could help a lot of other people who don’t have a Pixel 6 too
I have the same issue after trying to update to 1205. I see the Pixel ROM Recovery and a COM port.
If you cannot enter fastboot mode, no way to recover your phone.
Was there a solution to this? The same thing happened to me. When I get to the bootloader and hit recovery the screen just goes black.
