Hi guys! I'm using zen2 - 551ML 2.3Ghz/32GB rom/4Gb ram.
Currently im running 2.19.40.22 stock firmware, my phone is rooted, i also flashed Project T v46 kernel.
I used Titanium to freeze all these system apps that i dont use, i did not uninstall any system app by far.
Then i checked Titanium to see ROM storage, and im quite shocking that the ROM storage (2,34Gb) is only has 30,8Mb free :crying:
I checked the other zen 2, same model, use by my friend, also rooted and i found that his phone has over 500+Mb free storage from the ROM storage (2,34Gb the same as mine).
Here is the picture of my phone's ROM storage >>> http://imgur.com/8s3lEd9

Since many system apps has updated to new version over playstore, i did not integrate them to system rom, i did not change any normal app to system app, but the ROM storage still get full ?
Please help me free some space on ROM storage, so i can push some useful app to system app and do a good back up.

This is my phone. I haven't had any problems with ROM storage:
Just curious, but what method did you use to apply your OTA?

Full wipe then flash full rom via TWRP. another method is adb sideload but i have never tried it.

Hi to all.
I have a problem with the ROM "Android Revolution HD 33.1.
The ROM is amazing, but I believe I do something wrong. I installed ROM and it works very well (in HTC One X). But the internal space (6,76GB total) is busy. I had only 1,4 gb free. And in the configuration of the phone, it tell me that 500mb are in apps and 4,82 in "other" stuff.
Anyone know why happen this? Because in the previous version of this ROM I had enough space, but in this version...
Maybe the reason are the tweaks installed? I installed most part of them, to improve perfomance.
Thanks a lot for the help . And sorry for my english, I dont talk it very well.
Regards
I also had this with stock rom. The "other" is the system i guess

Hi Angelo, thanks for respond me.
Really? Because I believe that other version of "Android Revolution" (version 17) take less space in memory than this. With version stock I dont remember, but sure that take a lot of memory too.
Maybe this is because instaling the ROM I put some tweaks, one of them have separate partitions to /home, etc.
Anyway you may have reason, and "other" is all the system.
Thanks a lot

Ok, you have the same free space, like me haha. Ok, so this is normal. I save from format the device again.
Ok Angelo37, thanks for your help, really .
And to moderator, this thread is solved, thanks.
Hi all,
Hi All, I bought the US Version 64 GB/4GB phone. How do you test/confirm the amount of ROM and RAM on your zf2? In Titanium Backup I see the following and wondering if this is a cause for concern. It shows ROM at 2.34 GB is this what others are seeing?
see screenshot below:

So what you are looking at is the system rom partition (closed system that can be accessed by root), your internal storage and your external storage. There is no mention of RAM there...
You need to check with some other app to find out your RAM...
ROM is your system partition, which is were you "system.img" goes, ram is around 3.7GB which is completly normal since the gpu takes ram and system runtime, and after that "user available ram" which is 1.4GB or so depends on how many apps your running etc...dont be concerned those numbers are completly normal.

Any suggestions on an app that does that? And whats the point of having 4 GB of ROM if it's partitioned and the OS can't even access it all?

Thats a safety measure in case the manufacture needs more space in a future OTA update, and you "can" access it with root, like i said stop worrying about rom partition size, sit back and enjoy your new phone.

With a 64GB Internal Storage, it wont make much difference
As for the app, look on the play store for a "Hardware Checker"
Paytm won't start until the Quick Support app in completely uninstalled from the phone. Is there any way to bypass this check ? I tried few methods like disabling Quick Support app and also installing it in Parallel Space but the Paytm still detects that Quick Support is installed on the phone..

Probably containering the app is the best way, you can do this with apps like parallel space but those suck. Try to find a root solution for completely containering apps if you can
If they can still read app data, which is supposed to be blocked...I can't really help you

My device is fully rooted with TWRP and magisk installed. Like I said I have tried Parallel space but it didn't work out. I have no idea what application containerization is and how I can do it.

Parallel space is not containered. Try using this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=moe.shizuku.redirectstorage

Thanks a lot man, I added paytm into this application, I can now run it without it prompting me to uninstall TeamViewer and Airdroid.

I'm at a loss here. Updated to c61 today, and it's been goofy. I can't install local upgrade (was gonna try to dirty flash), I can't enable RAM boost (not a big deal), and I can't save cropped pics in the gallery app. I'm not sure if it's related, but apps are randomly cloning themselves, too. Does anyone have any ideas?
it kept freezing and i had to factory data reset. i hate this phone now.

Stay on OOS 11, nothing compares, no custom ROM nor ColorOS comes close. Custom ROMs are riddled with bugs, and COS is the same.
Also, flashing custom ROMs might introduce more issues at times. I flashed one and couldn't update properly. Then my phone broke and can't use T-Mobile MSM, it's permanently set to IN.

the c61 itself has a local update in it, with the c61 you don't need the local update.apk and that the RAM boost can't be activated for you (I think you're rooted) with root I couldn't activate RAM boost either.
just as with the c61 the RAM see your pic and mine is displayed in a different place if you have root, just like then (without root) another menu opens if you press the 12 GB Ram woman then extra RAM (this menu is not there with root )
Hi. Anyone know why latest OneUi 5.0 takes 70GB system storage?
I believe that system should take about 10-15GB like clear Android 13 (Mi9T Pro - 12GB, MiPad 5 - 16GB), but not 70.
Anyone know what is happening in the system directories?
Spoiler: Screenshot

Mine says 39gb so I think both are wrong
I have mine at 106GB, wiping cache didn't do anything.
Mine is extremely debloated, I wonder if that has anything to do with mine being so low comparatively...

I have the standard A13 ROM from Samsung (not debloated) and it's 40GB.
~63 Gb after the last uodate
19 gb after december update
everyone with more than 25 gb sistem files please try file guardian GL module to clear old android sistem files

Tempus Fugit
I trust the OS. As long as I have a lot of free space, I don't care how much the system takes.
Is there another vesy to remove old system files? Why are they there, short of a system recovery?

I tried cleaning my internal storage a while ago and noticed my system storage increased to 110GB, lmao.
Update on this: I did a factory reset to see if it'll do anything.
From 111GB, it went down to 38GB, but after completely restoring all my apps, files and everything, it went back up to 58GB. Not bad considering I freed up 50GB+.
I suspect the reason my system files bloated like that is because I have a habit of flashing roms without wiping, especially when the beta came out.
