Hi to all.
I have a problem with the ROM "Android Revolution HD 33.1.
The ROM is amazing, but I believe I do something wrong. I installed ROM and it works very well (in HTC One X). But the internal space (6,76GB total) is busy. I had only 1,4 gb free. And in the configuration of the phone, it tell me that 500mb are in apps and 4,82 in "other" stuff.
Anyone know why happen this? Because in the previous version of this ROM I had enough space, but in this version...
Maybe the reason are the tweaks installed? I installed most part of them, to improve perfomance.
Thanks a lot for the help . And sorry for my english, I dont talk it very well.
Regards
I also had this with stock rom. The "other" is the system i guess

Hi Angelo, thanks for respond me.
Really? Because I believe that other version of "Android Revolution" (version 17) take less space in memory than this. With version stock I dont remember, but sure that take a lot of memory too.
Maybe this is because instaling the ROM I put some tweaks, one of them have separate partitions to /home, etc.
Anyway you may have reason, and "other" is all the system.
Thanks a lot

Ok, you have the same free space, like me haha. Ok, so this is normal. I save from format the device again.

So, as you see here the applications i`m RESTORING using Titanium Back up aren`t being installed on the App2SD ext but rather they are all going to the Internal Memory then i moved them (one by one) to the SD but the internal memory is still the same and the SD partition decreases but the ext partition stays as empty as ever,,,, So can anyone help me?
Note: i WIPED everything before installing MIUI!! ("Wipe data/factory reset")
There is none :] I emulate it with a Folder i've put into the dock.
Miui places ALL applications on multiple pages on the device. There is no actual app drawer unless you place all apps into a folder and move it to the dock. Are you positive titanium backup was sucessfully installed? Try doing a reboot on the device.

oh and thanks for having the courage to deliver such news!! (God bless Android ... he was such an AWESOME OS and a lovely .... OS)
its not a bad thing actually
i had the same shock but then i just made a folder called apps and put all my apps in it and then attached it to my dock
now it looks like this
Any Dev who can help
Anyone HELP me guys i flashed a new ROM to get a free space and a fast phone!!!
Problem is still here!!
I think your question may be a bit specific for the 'Desire General' section.
I think MIUI specific questions are best off in the relevant 'Desire Android Development' threads.
Just a thought.
PS
I think there are several flavours for the App2/wherever of MIUI -you'll have to follow the threads to get the full picture.
Same thing
Did you select the option, ''Force move to same location'' or something in Titanium preferences?
I too had the same problem when i was trying out a MIUI based rom. I thought it was a problem with the A2SD or something. So i reinstalled the rom, manually installed all my apps using appbrain and it was ok. The apps mostly went to A2SD partition like its supposed to.
I think its something to do with Titanium itself.
I read on miui page to use in a terminal emulator:
su
a2sd cachesd
I solved by this way..
have a look there
I currently use MIUI on my SGH-T989, but my phone calls constantly have no audio. I need Chinese as this is my dad's phone and he does not know English. Any suggestion? Or is there any way to put Chinese onto a rom?

You can try to use CM9.1 ROM, it contains Chinese support. I think AOKP also has Chinese support, but it may not be 100% translated. Make sure you do an adequate data, cache wipe when flashing the ROM, as I ran into issues before when I didn't do so.
And you already know about MIUI.
Can people check their phones and report back telling me what ROM they use and whether it has Chinese or not?
The languages boxed in yellow are Chinese.

I'm actually trying CM10 right now. Making a nandroid of my current phone as we speak so I can install CM10 on top of it, but I would like to compile a list of ROMs that have Chinese, so I can test each one and see which one I like.
Hello everyone,
I need help with something, yesterday I was looking at some settings on my M8, I went into settings->storage, and then I noticed that Other is using 5.67GB of my 16GB storage! Naturally I started investigating. Apps were fine -> 2.27 GB I presume with cache included, I also presumed that it is not system, since system is probably using that part of memory from 13.58GB 'til 16GB. So the big question is what the hell is this and why os ot using so much space? I also asked people with M8, and everyone is reporting having more than 5GB under Other! So I need help tracking what this is,and how to get rid of it. Also people could check and post their screenshots here. Also, I dont have facebook, skype or any games installed on my M8, so this is really interesting. Hoping to get some clarification on this. Thanks!

Same here, Other was about 6GB when I was on Sense. I guess it's all the bloat HTC puts on the device. Right now I'm on GPE which doesn't have any "Other Storage".

I suggest you get the DiskUsage app from the Play Store. You will be able to find out exactly what is taking up your storage. I use it myself, and it is a great tool to have.

It won't tell you what app, but it will tell you what files are taking up all the space. From there, you should be able to figure out what is going on.
What is te name of the folders that DiskUsage is indicating as taking up all the space?
Hi all,
Hi All, I bought the US Version 64 GB/4GB phone. How do you test/confirm the amount of ROM and RAM on your zf2? In Titanium Backup I see the following and wondering if this is a cause for concern. It shows ROM at 2.34 GB is this what others are seeing?

So what you are looking at is the system rom partition (closed system that can be accessed by root), your internal storage and your external storage. There is no mention of RAM there...
You need to check with some other app to find out your RAM...
ROM is your system partition, which is were you "system.img" goes, ram is around 3.7GB which is completly normal since the gpu takes ram and system runtime, and after that "user available ram" which is 1.4GB or so depends on how many apps your running etc...dont be concerned those numbers are completly normal.

Any suggestions on an app that does that? And whats the point of having 4 GB of ROM if it's partitioned and the OS can't even access it all?

Thats a safety measure in case the manufacture needs more space in a future OTA update, and you "can" access it with root, like i said stop worrying about rom partition size, sit back and enjoy your new phone.

With a 64GB Internal Storage, it wont make much difference
As for the app, look on the play store for a "Hardware Checker"
Hi. Anyone know why latest OneUi 5.0 takes 70GB system storage?
I believe that system should take about 10-15GB like clear Android 13 (Mi9T Pro - 12GB, MiPad 5 - 16GB), but not 70.
Anyone know what is happening in the system directories?
Spoiler: Screenshot

Mine says 39gb so I think both are wrong
I have mine at 106GB, wiping cache didn't do anything.
Mine is extremely debloated, I wonder if that has anything to do with mine being so low comparatively...

I have the standard A13 ROM from Samsung (not debloated) and it's 40GB.
~63 Gb after the last uodate
19 gb after december update
everyone with more than 25 gb sistem files please try file guardian GL module to clear old android sistem files

I trust the OS. As long as I have a lot of free space, I don't care how much the system takes.
Is there another vesy to remove old system files? Why are they there, short of a system recovery?

I tried cleaning my internal storage a while ago and noticed my system storage increased to 110GB, lmao.
Update on this: I did a factory reset to see if it'll do anything.
From 111GB, it went down to 38GB, but after completely restoring all my apps, files and everything, it went back up to 58GB. Not bad considering I freed up 50GB+.
I suspect the reason my system files bloated like that is because I have a habit of flashing roms without wiping, especially when the beta came out.
