Model with LTE Band 4 (AWS: 1700/2100) - HTC Desire Eye

Hi! I want to buy an HTC Desire Eye but I need a version with LTE Band 4 (AWS: 1700/2100) without contract.
Can anybody tell me a safe link from amazon to buy it?
Thanks!

The AT&T version supports LTE band 4 and I just bought one for my wife. At first I thought I'd get it at the AT&T store, but they won't unlock it until you've been using their service for 60 days, so I bought it off of the HTC website (without contract), but it turned out that it was still locked to AT&T and I would still need the 60 days of service for them (AT&T) to unlock it. Instead, I purchased an unlock code online for $6.95 and had it working on T-Mobile's network in no time. If I had it to do over again, I'd buy it from the AT&T store with a pre-pay plan and then just use the online unlock code since the phone is about $100 cheaper at the AT&T store than on the HTC site (and it's the exact same phone).

Thanks for the answer! Can you buy it with a pre-pay plan through AT&T website insted of from a store? I've researched AT&T site and it seems to be mandatory buy the phone with contract but perhaps Im doing something wrong since Im uruguaian and do not understand precisely how AT&T operates.

I don't think you can get it with a pre-pay plan online. I think I tried that but didn't get very far. I'm not an AT&T customer either, so I'm not very familiar with their plans.

Just buy a used one from amazon at&t version and get an unlock code on ebay for under $5, that's what I did

Question?

Hi there,
If I were to buy a G2 and get it unlocked, would it work perfectly on the AT&T wireless network? AT&T doesn't really have any great Android phones, so I really want this one! Thanks!
You can unlock it and use it on att however you only get to use edge. No 3g. I used my old adp1 on att for over a year. Edge is fine for normal stuff like maps and gps. As long as you got wifi for everything else you will be fine. Fyi i switched to tmobile a few months back cheaper and faster service imo. Coverage not as good though.

I also have another question. I am thinking buying this phone from T-mobile retail store. Since I am with AT&T do I need to be a T-mobile subscriber to purchase a G2 from there retail store?

You do know its a $600 phone right? Outright that is. You're better off finding someone selling one.
Yea like the above post.... the only reason i would buy it at tmo full price it to get phone ins.

Don't buy a G2, but a NAM model Desire Z, e.g. from Bell. Then you can unlock it and it will have the right bands to work on 3G on AT&T.

That's right. You want the NAM version of the DesireZ, or the A7275. Paying $500 for the G2 that only works on EDGE is a bad idea, when you can pay $600 for the Desire Z NAM that will have 3G on ATT. Buy it unlocked, or unlock it yourself.
Mine is in the mail, and scheduled to arrive tomorrow!

at&t no contract phones

I currently have the t-mobile version of the GS3 and the 14 day return policy for my phone will end on monday if i dont return this phone back i will get tied into a contract again, what i have been thinking about doing is returning this phone to t-mobile, then go to my local at&t store and buy their version of the gs3, under a no commitment price of $550. i would like to use this phone on ST (straight-talk), will this work? i have been getting mixed answers some people say they couldnt buy a phone no contract because they were not current customers of at&t, my other main reason for switching out from t-mobile is my crappy service 3g does not exsist in my town for t-mobile but does with every other carrier.
You shouldn't have an issue in buying outright if you go to a Corporate store, NOT an authorized dealer or national retail such as Best Buy or Wal-Mart. I should know, I work at an AT&T corporate store.
Also, you will need to SIM unlock the device first, which is easy and cheap, since you can buy the codes on eBay for a few bucks. After that you will also need to add/change the APN settings to that of StraightTalk, but after that you'll be up and running.

ok thanks i needed this info, when you say sim unlock do you mean that the phone can only be used with at&t sim cards? so i would have to sim unlock it to run off the at&t based sim card?
He means you'll have to by an unlock code to be able to use it on OTHER carriers besides at&t and since you're buying it outright ..you should be able to get the unlock for free.

AT&T will not give it to you the unlock code unless you have a good standing account, which he doesn't. Corporate stores do not have access to the system (well, not that part specifically) to be able to generate them.
Ebay would be much less of a headache.
You won't need to unlock if you use straight talk. You just order an att SIM from straight talk online(there is an option for t mobile also). You will have to update the apn info and maybe mms settings. I just recently did this for a locked att iPhone 4. I don't think lte will work.

Which Note II for AT&T MVNO

I currently own a GT-N7000 Note and am going to upgrade by purchasing a Note II, but I am having some trouble figuring out which exact version to get.
I tried purchasing Galaxy S III once and AT&T refused to unlock the device despite me having paid the full $699 for it. (I ended up having to return it because of this)
I have 4 requirements for the phone but can't figure out what model meets all of them. Any help or suggestions from the community would be greatly appreciated.
1. I will be using the phone on AT&T MVNO's (am currently on RedPocket).
2. I would like to have working LTE (US is 700Mhz Class 17 I believe.
3. I would like to either have the phone come without carrier modifications to the OS and without bloatware, or if that is completely non-existant at the very least have a version of the Note II that will allow me to easily load a stock ROM on it with all features (especially tethering built in), and without any loss of functionality (i.e. I don't want to deal with firmware incompatibility problems like no working LTE radio or instability or the like)
4. I will be using the phone overseas every now and then so it definitely needs to be unlocked.
Thanks guys.
none
Has anyone ordered from here?
cellgsmphones.com
Supposedly they are shipping the phones straight from Korea and it has 700 band LTE.
If so, did the phone really come with 700Mhz LTE?
The site says the specs/info came from a wiki, so I am guessing it might be all wrong.
Well if you want to use a MVNO of AT&T you wont be getting LTE, They don`t allow it, its ONLY for AT&T Contract and or Prepaid but it does not work on AT&T`s MVNO`s none of them currently.
I say just buy the ATT Note2 and try to get ATT to unlock and if not pay the $25-30 to get the unlock code from; http://www.cellunlocker.net/.
Hyelton is correct, no ATT MVNO has LTE and I read an article that ATT will be bringing LTE to GoPhone but it's at least a year out.
I have a N7100 on an ATT MVNO and I am getting 5-8Mbps down so it's not bad.
Not quite sure why someone would want to pay extra for a Korean version of a phone to use on ATT when you can just buy the ATT version and pay to unlock it cheaper. Unless your trying to get it on a dumb phone plan and are hoping that the Korean Imei never gets blocked.

[Q] T-Mobile cell SIM in AT&T tab? Possible?

So long story short I can't figure this one out... I have a spare line (Tmobile) with truly unlimited data and I'd like to use it in a tablet. I have been told it's (impossible) by a tmobile store. This is the same store that told me I can't teather past 5gb until I told him I'm rooted and custom. I'd love to get a galaxy tab s on my unlimited data! Please advise.
P.S XDA is Awsome!!!
I have the TabS 8.4 T707 for AT&T. The tablet is SIM locked to AT&T but you can contact them for the unlock code if you paid full price for it. I bought mine from BestBuy and it took about two weeks for AT&T to get the unlock code to me. It was a big pain to get that code.
I'm using mine for international travel and it registers on the networks. Just check which LTE bands Tmobile uses.
Also, the tablet is on sale right now for $380 at BB.

Hi Lochniss,
How can you get ATT to provide you the unlock code? I tried device unlock request and ATTMobilitycare, and both said that the unlock code is not available.
I also bought the TabS from Bestbuy and unable to unlock it.
Regards.

vrance - I had to go through the "AT&T Chairman’s Office of Executive Escalations (ERT) team". I don't know if you can call 611 and ask for them??? I came into contact with them when I filled a BBB complaint stating ATT did not unlock my unsubsidized mobile device. I was rejected a couple of times but did not give up. Finally the person with ERT had Samsung USA contact Samsung Korea to get the code. I cannot understand why ATT does not have the code, but it blows my mind that Samsung Korea has it.
For everyone reading this... please be courteous and patient with these guys. They did not set up the ATT system nor do they have the solutions at their fingertips. As I am doing with the community, just guide them to the answer.... good luck.
There's much easier way if you have an active ATT account (phone account is OK). Just insert your ATT sim into your tab s, give it a few hours until ATT system update your phone information (you should be able to see tab s as your new phone in your online account page). By this time, your imei is in ATT database, you should now be able to request your unlock code thru their online system. It took less than 24hrs for me to get mine.

Hi Xiaonan80, thanks for your advice. Will try that route. Do u know if ATT prepaid SIM card is ok to let the IMEI is in the ATT database? I am not a ATT customer, but can try buying a prepaid SIM to try it out.

Can I do this

Im in the USA.
Can I walk into a T-Mobile store, but a HTC 10 outright, unlock it right there, and pop in my AT&T SIM and get full LTE?

a suggestion would be to check with T-Mobile whether you would hold onto warranty after unlocking or not before you proceed....
I read on another forum that someone else was trying to do that, but they could not get anyone at T-Mobile to sell them the phone without a plan. Worth a shot though! Also, how long are you in the USA? HTC.com has a $100 off sale right now. Could you overnight it to where you're staying?
Oh, I see you have an AT&T sim, so I guess you live here already. Whoops!
Why not buy unlocked?
