Everyone has to have some favourite apps out there, share them here to get the word out there so others that may not have heard of them can try them out too!
My favourite apps are:
1) Tasker- This app runs everything on my phone and is invaluable. It's got a steep learning curve but once you know what to do there is endless possibilities.
2) Beluga - Just discovered this app earlier in the week and it's already replaced Kik as my go to messaging app. It is a group chat messenger that has native iphone and android apps, but also works through text, so any friends without smartphones can still communicate, great for organizing events and parties, but obviously also works for 1 on 1 conversations as well. A blackerry version is in the works as well. The UI is beautiful to boot.
3) Titanium backup - Flashing with my GT- i9000m scares the crap out of me due to samsungs garbage design for the phone risking it dying every time, but I know that if it does this will have all my info there when the phone gets replaced.
4) MX moto - not the greatest of games but I use it to kill time without draining battery like something like dungeon defenders does.
5) 3 (cubed) - by far my favourite music player, I used this app for over a year trying out other music apps but none of them had the same charm. I tried out double twist, even bought air sync (which doesn't work at all) the player crashed randomly all the time and the pc client is slow and laggy garbage, deleted it all and now its back to 3 for me!
ADW Launcher EX - Best launcher, if only it had the launcher pro plus widget lol
Handcent SMS - Best one for me
Beautiful Widget - Awesome weather animations and all..
SMS Backup+ - Saves sms to gmail
Fring - Use frinngout a lot!

I installed the wonderefull new Synergy ROM and I love it. Previously I had a long list of apps installed. Now I have maybe 8 or 9 apps that I could install without running out of room. & that is with app2sd.
& out of those 8 or 9 apps, about 5 or 6 are apps that I "want" like Angry birds & facebook. & not "need" like gmail and logmein pro and such. I really want to keep the new rom but I use my phone for everything. I miss my google sky (my kids love it) snesoid (Killer instinct). Just to get an idea. Here was the list of apps I made before I changed roms:

Honestly I love features & pretty buttons as much as the next guy, but if I have pretty stuff everywhere but it can't actually DO anything im gonna have to downgrade.
I want to keep this rom installed but, can someone please tell me how to get a considerable amount of space back. If not back to SteelROM I go.
I had the same problem with Synergy as well. Switch to MikG, very similar rom, and plenty of free space.

That was really helpful. I switched to mikg and I have over 250mb of app space. ROM is really very similar. Only issue is battery life and no swype. I will find solutions to those on my own, unless you have a quick answer to those too. LOL. Thanks again bro!

Hey guys,
I was merely wondering what apps you'd all recommend to kill when you go the "apps, manage running applications" place in the settings. Someone recommended I kill "DRM content" as well as the social hub. I killed social hub but am not sure what DRM content supposedly does. I'm merely trying to kill unnecessary stuff to get the best out of my battery.
Any suggestions?

If you kill any system app it will just load again so it's pretty pointless to do. If you really want to stop anything from running, root with the autoroot that's stickied in the dev section (takes 5 minutes and is perfectly safe) and then use titanium backup to freeze any system apps you don't want to use at all and use autostarts to prevent everything else from running on their own.
Any apps you'd recommend to freeze via Titanium?

Hi! Just bought this phone because it's just too cheap and has decent specs. Actually, bought 2 of them, they were about 70$ each, with some 15$ extra headphones bonus
Phone came with Fire OS 4.6.3. Managed to install Google services and store, Google now launcher and make default with Home Switcher(listed as "incompatible" in Play store, had to sideload it...many other apps are "incompatible"). That was problem number one...
After that, installed Youtube app, which works, but 360p only and no cardboard option(360 vr videos). Installed iYTBP(modded youtube app) and videos work at higher resolution(720p default) but still no VR. Also default app player doesn't work well.
Installed Facebook and seemed ok, but videos open in browser and don't autoplay in app. I understand whatsupp has problems playing videos...
All these seem to happen because phone is not really known to the apps and they run in "simple" mode.
Is there any way to make apps think it is another phone that they "know" has enough hardware to run them fully? Because it really has...the soc is still strong enough and gyro is there. I will try my best to keep it as stock as possible for warranty reasons(2 years...)
Stumbled across some post where someone said you have to modify build.prop, I think, but can't find it anywhere. Of course, I would need to root it first...
Any more tips welcome, this is best buy for 70$ + bonus and it's really selling well around Romania right now, it seems.
As a side note, battery life seems ok, I got around 5h SOT without sim first day of use, gestures and sensors enabled and Google launcher.
For those other newbs, this site is useful to a point: http://spinyourfire.com/. Home switcher app is attached here, as it does not show up in Google play for this phone.
Google now works fine for me, including wallpapers and widgets and seems to have full functionality.

This tv is really great and smart, screen is amazing, has guest/professional modes, loads of settings and cloning options, networking access and etc. But...
As a simple and single user now, I want to have play store, or any other way to install some certain apps. (I.e. Netflix, plex, IPTV)
This model has some preinstalled apps (i.e. YouTube news, weather, but no market/play store and settings letting to install from usb.
I can't even tell android version. Seems like GB?!
Where do I start?
