Ok guys there are users who faces the same problems with tab t705/700
1 sudden battery drop
2 green strips on display
3 freeze and reeboot
4 when network changes the green strips come
5 cam flash not work
this is not an software prob definitely (hardware prob faulty battery connector)
i tried on both kk and lp
the solution :d
if u r a nonrooted user
dont waste ur time on cleanning caches, trying recovery etc
replace\repair the tab asap at samsung store
for root users
the problem is in the battery connector(where it connects to the mainboard)
find an good phone mechanic (u dont need an expert for this )
ask him to resolder ur battery connector to the mainboard(btw i have gave 3$ for that)
iam using t705
and get an amazing battery life
it has been 3 months and not a single complain/problem from tab
Plenty seem to get this issue with the 8.5 model, but nobody ever actually posts a pic of the problem.
This is the battery connector, actually the from the 8.4", but the 10.5" should look the same.
Samsung service centers have been know to replace the battery connector with a more heavy duty version during a repair.

The issue seems limited to 8.4 models dont think ive seen a report of anyone with a 10.5 having the same problem.
As I have an 10.5" i hope you are right, below is the post about replacing the battery connector.

I wonder if anyone can help. I did search the site but couldn't find anyone with similar problems.
The problem is the screen colours are 'messed up' and it rarely displays the screen correctly. I know its a problem like a lose or damaged connection inside the phone but I want to know if it will get fixed out of warranty? If so where do I start?
If the warranty is useless then I will crack the phone open and have a look myself, but I didn't want to open it if HTC will fix it.
Its an O2 XDA IIs by the way with the latest O2 software.
Here is a pic:

It doesn't look too bad in that pic, but it gets worse and sometimes fades to white.
Thanks
F355,
Akthough I'm no specialist, it remonds me a problem I had with a graphic card a while ago. It could well be that the graphic chip on the main board is giving way.
If such is the case and the device is still under warranty, u know what to do!

Thats the problem I think its out of warranty. I remember I had a Nokia 8210 about 4 years ago and they fixed that even out of warranty, just wondering if HTC are as good customer service wise. Its probably wear and tear but surely it should be designed to last. My XDA I is much better quality, shame its so big, slow and has no features.
Well I contacted O2 data support and they said that O2 XDAs come with 2 years warranty (the phone is 1yr 1m old) so they are sending a pre-paid envelope and hopefully fixing it.
The only problem is because its 'screen damage' they might not fix it even in warranty and I will have to pay £17 handling fee. :roll:
Hello,
I've had my desire for almost a year now, and it broke yesterday... I was playing with my 6-year old nephews, and my desire fell out of my pocket. I didn't know that it was broken until I wanted to check my whatsapp a few hours later, and when I did, the screen was like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
... (lol the image is way too big)The touchscreen is working fine, I can turn it on and unlock it, I can even send an whatsapp, because I knew where the icon was. So what should I do with it? Repair it if it's possible? How much would that cost? I now have an iPhone 3gs as stand-in, should I keep that for as long as my contract lasts (1 year)? Or should I buy a new one? If so, which one would you advise me? A cheap one please, as I want to save for the PS4 later this year.
I'm running Sandvolds ICS for those that want to know...
Thanks!
There's a possibility that the screen cable is slightly disconnected. Try to disassemble the phone, and check the cable.
Thanks for the reply, I'll give it a try
Edit: Yeah I tried to take it apart, seems I've got no T5 screwdriver at home... Basically, if I would take it apart I would have not any idea what te screen cable is... Is it the LCD connecter? I do know quite a bit about software and that sort of stuff, but I'm a n00b at replacing hardware :S

I had the exact same screen on my Desire :silly:
That screen is broken and you need to replace it. I would recomend a professional to do it because I tried to do it myself and I destroyed my phone. And the other thing if you decide to go on with replacement - Desire had two different screen types and every type had one or two subtypes which are NOT compatible with each other so you need to know exactly what type of screen you have
Hey all,
my galaxy note wont charge. So i opened the device to fix it. The good thing is, that the device now charge. The bad thing is that i cuted the cable for the display assembly.
I mirror the display to my pc and i see that the device is booting correctly. But the display is not working.

This is the thing which is broken by me. The right cable is cuted.
Is there any option two replace just the cable instead of buying a whole new display assembly?
Thanks for your help and sorry for my bad english.
Greetings
Dominique

Thank you! I try it!
Hey,
the cable arrived today. I tried to get it build in but no change. It's too tricky. I think it's not possible to get the screen off without a brick. If someone can put the screen away without bricking it, it's very hard to connect the new cable to the screen.
The phone is dead. Maybe i found a cheap damaged phone with a working screen on ebay... We will see.
I will try it.
Hope you can fix the phone asap

Sure, I am doing it since some weeks ago. I even designed and 3D printed and QI charging base:

Very interesting...
Can you tell me which of the two connectors on the left side is for plus (+) and which is for ground?
I am thinking about installing a Qi receiver.

Did you directly place the cell phone on the charger or you had installed a special cover (like s view cover) to charge the cell phone?
Is the wireless receiving plate already in the phone, rather than on the s-view cover? I dont see any special charging cover on the OP's phone, though I cant see if its charging or not?
I tried to install a charging pad in my Note 3 Neo.
After several tries I think the two connectors will not work as charging connectors.
In my opinion, they are used only to identify the S-View Cover.
After installing a Qi-receiver the charger recognized the charging pad, but there was no charging massage on the phone.
My S-View Cover didn´t work with installed charging pad.
The pictures above show only the charging station. On the display ist no indicator for charging.
So I believe, that it is not possible to charge the Note 3 Neo via Qi.
If someone has a wirking Qi-Charger I am very interested in this solution.
I can see in your Google Plus photo that you are using a Galaxy S III receiving module. How did you managed to make it fit. Does it fits natively, or did you have to make some adjustments to it? How is the back cover coming, any extra thickness in there? Please share more details (with pics:laugh.
I'm looking to replace the battery in mine and I see a bunch of options on eBay that look like OEM but probably aren't. Hoping someone has a vendor recommendation
I ordered a cheap one from EBAY out of Ireland (NL myself). It should come in today. It's probably not OEM (they look like it).
I'll compare it to the old one once I have it and open my tab up.

They're the same, if you want to make sure, check the part number , like EB-BT705FBC, on your original battery. Then buy the one has matched part number and Samsung logo.
The tab S 8.4 has different models but using the same battery. Like Tab Pro 12.2, Note Pro 12.2 Wif and LTE, they are different 12.2 inches tablets, but they use the same battery and other parts.
I just installed my battery. It was 14 euro's from Ireland. I expected it to be a knockoff but it was an exact match to my old one, down to the part number. The only difference was the manufacturing date, with the old one in 2014 and the new one from Ireland manufactured in 2016, november - only two months ago!
It was a few mm smaller, which shows how much batteries swell over the years. The old one was a pain to remove as it was really cramped in the housing.
Photo for comparison, new one on the right and old on the left.

I've replaced battery in my T700 with this one:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100...32466260763.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.0.HVMxr6
I can confirm it is original and it's working fine for more than 6 monts now. Still holding excellent, in fact much better than the original one. But that's mostly cos i changed my usage scenarios
