To make the back button work every time I recommend trying Pie Control.
Even if you miss the system back button that same motion will activate the Pie menu and hit Pie's back button if you set yours up like mine.
Here is a screenshot of my setup which features the Pie menu at the bottom which pops up when you swipe up:

}
From left to right I have the home button, back button, and task button options that appear on any swipe up from the bottom. Pie has a customizable activation zone, so if you're still missing it you can just make the swipe up zone taller or wider.
Note that I've put the back button in the center. This way a swipe straight up will always be back regardless if I hit the actual back button or it has to go to the pie control for backup. The Time and Battery status is just an added bonus which is super nice because of the lack of status bar.
Note: To allow the back button in Pie you must go to Settings -> Device -> Manage accessibility -> Services -> Pie [On]
This app is great.

DoublePower lets you launch one or more applications at any time when you quickly double-click the power button.
If you set it to launch one application, it just launches.
If you set it to launch more than one application, it launches a menu listing them.
I wanted this so I could launch SuperDim whenever I wanted to adjust screen brightness without going to the home screen from an app.
The beta expires after Sept. 16. I think eventually there will be a free version that lets you include only two apps in the DoublePower menu and a paid version without that limit. Or maybe the free version will pop up a nag screen from time to time. Haven't decided.

I added an option to turn off the WiFi when the device is powered off. Press MENU | Options.
This doesn't work if you both:
(a) use deep sleep
(b) have at least one double-power-click application set
I extended the beta to Sept. 30. Also, you can add to the double-power menu one or more of these: WiFi toggle, Airplane mode toggle, Bluetooth toggle, and HOME (I think you could do that in the previous version, too).
In particular, if you want to have a way to get out of full-screen apps, you can just assign HOME to double-power.
Hi,after exit from an application (especially Facebook) icon top left to the first display page appear framed(marked). For all 4.1.2 (bm2,bm4,bm6) root/unroot I have same problem... It's a bug or not???

It is to select things with a keyboard when you have that connected.
I have seen it without a keyboard on the Note 2, and I suspect it has something to do with the way Samsung made the S Pen software. They have set Air view to be a part of the Accessibility options, and I have heard that you can get brail keyboards to use with Accessibility options too.
You could try to turn off Air View in Settings -> S Pen -> Air View and see if that removes the box. The box doesn´t show up regularly for me, so I have not been able to test that theory.
I think it's an android bug because do the same with S1(cm10), S2(4.1.1), S3(4.1.2 root) Xperia T(4.1.1) ... but just in these case:
open Facebook app>check who is online (man with 3 line icon from top right ) > back 2 times (from phone button ) > and now one icon from top it's on box, but disappears after touching the screen...
I really like the "Use for all screens" One-handed operation, but unfortunately I use a few apps which requires a "Accessibility Service" which, turns out, breaks the gesture for One-handed operation (please fix this Samsung!)... So my question is... Can that feature be accessed via an app, or another method other then the "swipe" gesture?

Click to collapse
This doesn't answer your question, but addresses overall one-handed operation.
Given that it's a bit of a strain to reach across the screen with my thumb (the back button, for example), this is one of the first things I installed
If you haven't used it, it's called LMT Pie. I set the targets to left, right and bottom. You can customize it as much as you want. FWIW..

What is screen pinning and how do I use it?
Using screen pinning, device can be made to show only a certain app's screen as long as you want.
Screen pinning can be often useful, especially if you want to play a game without accidentally minimizing the app (if you touch the Home button). Though Home button on G5 plus is at a lower level than display, it can still happen.
How to enable Screen Pinning feature ?
1. Go to Settings > Security.
2 . Enable Screen pinning here.
How to pin a screen ?
1. Open an app(to be pinned)
2. Go to Recent apps
3. Touch the pin icon at the bottom of the overview of app you just opened

}
(Note: Sometimes you may need to drag up the app view in Recent items view for PIN icon to show)
To exit from the pinned screen touch and hold the Back navigation key.
NOTE: If you are using Moto's one button navigation, the back key will appear to allow you to unpin the screen once you have pinned something. Once unpinned, the buttons will disappear again.
Hope this makes your gaming experience bit better :fingers-crossed:
