Once it's gone, it's gone.
If you have a backup, restore it
If you don't, why the heck not? YOU'RE SCREWED.
Yeah unfortunately it's gone. Get Titanium Backup from the market and perform a backup. you can set it up to automatically backup any changes, i think.....I haven't tried that option yet. RomManager will backup your current rom if that interests you.
If you can find a way to mount mass storage (which as far as I know isn't possible yet) you can use any number of data recovery utilities to get your data back.
No removable SD card + no USB mass storage is kind of a major fail and my only regret about owning this device...

Caps isn't necessary friend, if they are on your virtual SD card they should still be there. If you've wiped the SD card you can't recover them.

maybe a silly Q, little help

hey guys,
Im about to unlock my boot loader, im following the instructions from this thread.
Unlocking Your Bootloader
Words of warning - unlocking your boot loader will wipe your data partition
Things you have put on your internal memory will be fine but all of your apps etc will be gone.
my question is "Where is that internal memory?"
I did a factory reset twice and it erased all my pics, music every thing, weren't they in the internal memory?
Im sorry if its a weird question im confused and I dont want to go into recovery with no rom
thanks XDAs
I stand to be corrected, but the data partition is AKA "internal storage."
The "phone storage" is /sdcard.
So wiping data partition means apps and text messages disappear, but not music or video that would show up if you plugged into pc and used as mass storage

They still always be on sd. As the phone stores all your pics videos etc on the sd partition. The internal 2gb memory is for apps.
I think when you factory reset it gives you an option to tick if you want to wrote your files or something

Simply put, if it shows up on your mass storage, it wont be affected by factory reset

[Q] Stupidity took hold - internal storage

Hi
I am running omega v15 with teamwin and i went and stupidly wiped internal storage!! so now all my photos are gone!
Is there anyway to recover that partition? anyway to recover the data that I wiped?
Super super mad with myself!
if there is anyway you can make your internal memory appear as a storage device, besides MTP, on your computer you maybe able to recover using recovery software for Windows. Also, try disk digger, it's not guaranteed but worth a try.

its crazy!!
Why is it possible to recover from SD Card but not internal storage?
1. Boot into recovery
2. Mount as USB storage
3. Use drive recovery software like Recuva
4. ???
5. Profit
Nah stupid is not keeping a backup of your photos.

SD card

Hello to everyone I have a 16 gig class 10 SD card I'm trying to figure out why it takes forever to load my photos from my SD card has anyone had this problem what did you do to resolve this issue?

My personal experience. My note 2 got weird behavior started last week, no root and most updated tmobile. Turn on CPU load and I found sdcard process is keeping running all the time. And I could not correctly show note 2 storage detail, in the setting. It always show calculating, or could not show internal storage at all. After reset the phone from "Backup and reset", and reinstall everything, problem still the same. I trid factory reset from reboot into "BIOS" mode, reinstall everything again, the problem was gone. My theory is the internal flash got some error and need to format again to clear. FYI.

So you only have an sd card? I think it's most likely encrypted and not salvageable. Actually, this guide might help:

Using the SD card as a data drive is a sound plan but only if you back it up redundantly to hdds.
Check to see if your Google account was breached.
On the PC see if you can access the card with Lexar's free low level data recovery app. If recoverable the jpegs will be stripped of their exif data, no time stamp, pic #, etc. All folder structure is already lost. A real mess.
