How to remove demo mode - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I work at a phone retailer and was fortunate to get our HTC One M8 display. Have gotten some things before and they were real easy to fix to become "standard units".
The HTC was not as straight forward though.
I tried to delete the demo App but that could not be done

}
I tried to just factory reset it but that could not be done as the Ok button was greyed out like so:
I then read up on a guide to flash it with Hasoon2000's AIO Toolkit, but when I tried that I could not do the step 3 "Get token ID".
I only got up "error: device not found", so I tried to reinstall the HTC drivers a few times to no avail.
I though this might be due to the fact that developer mode can't be turned on but it seems like USB debugging is active.

At this point I'm not sure what to do.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The only thing it seems you can do is s-off and use a RUU.

Thank you for the reply. I will try this out

And change the CID once you obtained s-off. It's now in the line of HTC__002 (only used for demo devices)
1: S-OFF
2: change cid to HTC__001 (for example. Any wwe cid will do)
3: run the wwe RUU

Yes, change your CID. Your RUU will fail until you change it. Changing it to 11111111 will open up your options of which one you can use. If you have a CDMA device use a Verizon or WWE depending on bands your wanting to use. If you phone is GSM capable you can't go wrong with the dev addition.

[Q] bricked desire with alpharev bootloader

Hi guys, I'd like to revive my old htc desire witch is stuck in some kind of bricked state.
I tried all the tools like alpharev and RUU but no mater what I try I cant seem to flash anything properly.
Desire used to work very well with s-off and alpharev partitions until I give to my dad that tried to change something about it -_-
When I boot it up I get this:

When plug it to my computer then unplug it I get this:
When I try to reflash a sense rom using RUU I get this error:
Thanks in advance guys, I'm almost desperate
Use bortak's troubleshooting guide stickied to the top of q&a
This problem has been asked and solved many times
Can't see the picture too clearly from my phone, I believe you are on a custom hboot so have to flash downgrader, then flash stock hboot before you flash ruu. The ruu won't fit inside a small system partition so it fails hence the error message

Thanks a lot. Indeed, I had to flash "Bravo Downgrader" from alpharev then use RUU.

[Q] Fully bricked usb - how to s-off?

I am trying to resuscitate an old HTC Desire. Here is where it stands now:
Bravo PVT3 Ship S-on
hboot 0.83.0001
Radio 5.17.05.23
CM10.1 VJ Jelly Bean 4.2.2 v6.3 (which works perfectly- I also have adb over network activated, and it says: 192.168.1.111:5555)
USB is fully bricked - I can't charge it anymore via the usb-port (but I have a recharger); and also can't get usb-access - and I've tried everything that has been suggested here and elsewhere to unbrick it, but it really is dead)
Can somebody please tell me how I can get adb-over-network to work and whether I could get S-OFF that way? When I try connecting, I CAN ping the phone, but I seem unable to connect, as shown here

Just documenting my own process. I created a goldcard and was able to get back to running an official 2.1 Éclair ROM with PB99IMG.zip. So I now have the following:
SO I guess next step would normally be to upgrade the RUU (e.g. to the 2.2 Froyo RUU), but all the instructions I find use usb. So I'm trying to figure this one out now - still VERY open to any suggestions.
I got there too. Following the instructions in the troubleshooting guide, I was able to get completely back to stock and to re-root again (with the help of Visionary and su). But the the guide recommends to also S-OFF. But I see no section on how to s-off without usb (like the section on root without usb). Could somebody please put me on the right track? Much appreciated.

mo what mean ? all informations i given when my device is stock just unlock bootloader
Mo = Moment, e.g. 'So that's on your device at the moment?'
Are you saying the picture(s) you've posted are what is running on your device right now, or are you using a GPe ROM? Your OP isn't that clear

for now i use GPe ROM. and this getvar
the pic's on the top for my old stock senes and clear when i buy the device
and i want it
That's fine. You need to:
1. Change CID to Super CID
2. Flash the ZIP in the 'Back to Sense' thread
3. Once back to the Sense bootloader change CID to HTC__001
4. Flash the 4.16.401.10 RUU available here - https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B17smFr95pleeTQ5U1NzNkZzM0U/

Need Advise Achieving S-OFF/Root for the HTC M9 Verizon

It seems verizon has locked down the boot loader pretty good, signed up at HTC DEV and the "fastboot oem get_identifier_token" command tells me I need to turn off the OEM Lock, I've been reading lots of old threads with no success, I've tried using Two Different Versions of RumRunner and am coming up with errors, tried using sunshine as well, no luck, I need to root the phone to use it with my new carrier. I've posted photos of the errors I am running into, also if there is a different work around for S-OFF and Root On Verizon M9 that I am unaware of I would like to know. Sunshine 3.5.6

Did you read the list of supported models before trying to use rumrunner? It isn't and never was compatible with this phone. http://rumrunner.us/downloads-2/
The same question applies to your usage of sunshine. The Verizon M9 isn't supported if it got updated to android N/firmware 4.x. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Q8GKXw3EDVGtAoiu36MdeVqMPRJba1WlF5TZXKQgNgA/htmlview
I'd suggest you to check the compatibility of files/methods you want to use before you actually use them. In the mentioned cases you didn't cause any damages but you need to be aware that flashing incompatible files/using incompatible methods always equals a risk of turning your phone into a paperweight.
You may want to take a look at the Verizon M9 forums since you're currently in the forums of the international version. There you should find a thread with java card/xtc clip owners. They may be able to help you out.

Have a look through the other posts in this section as there are a couple of posts more or less identical to your own with links to resources needed and advice how to fix.
Btw
It's the rules here to give you all the tools necessary to fix your issues yourself, including searching and reading other threads to find what you need.
It's not our job to point you in the right direction......?
Good luck.
