I'm running the stock firmware on rooted Tab S 10.5, and used a multi-tool app (3C Toolbox) to "uninstall" some of the stock bloat apps, such as the Hancom Office apps, which was great until a few days later some notifications popped up saying all of the apps I had removed has been "Installed". Is there any way to get rid of these permanently, without having them come crawling back uninvited, or is a non-stock ROM the only way to control this?

I rooted my phone and decided to free up space. One of the things I did was move updates to Gmail to /system. This caused Gmail to stop functioning. So I deleted the app (it is listed as safe to remove in various locations) and tried installing a fresh one from the market and a v2.3.4 apk, both of which install successfully but crash when trying to run (com.google.android.gm stopped unexpectedly). The v2.3.4 apk ran well for a day but then ceased to function with similar errors.
Any ideas on the easiest way to get Gmail back?
Hello, mates!!
I have a little problem with Dark Knight game in my unrooted Galaxy Note 8 (4.2.2)
About months ago i had version 1.1.3 installed and worked just fine, but i had to delete it because i needed internal storage space.
This week i tried to install it again, but when i start new game and tryin to play intro video, the game freezes (black screen with only skip icon showing but inactive).
Had someone the same problem? Is there a fix?
I have tried almost every version but the same things happens.
So it's probably the android version or some settings fault since i used to play this game...

Run saferoot and root your device. You can get it on the Easy way to root.. thread.
Once you root, download Ti backup and have it uninstall orphan apps. Somewhere in the system there are files that are left over from your game.
Safe root will not flash increment your counter so performing stock update will function normally. The only issue is Samsung Book Hub will not run in rooted devices. You can hide the root using substrate and Rootcloak to allow apps that do detect rooting to function.
If you are not willing to saferoot... then backup your apps and settings with Kies, and do a factory reset of your system. Then restore your apps and settings before installing your game.
If the game still does not run properly after any of the options I gave, then it is possible you are side-loading part of the app. Some apps like Samsung's Link will not side load properly without permissions and data properly transferred.
Since your not rooted at this time, doing any manual work to fix the issue will not be an option..

Wow, thanks for your advice... I don't feel like rooting this baby for a while.. but i will try factory reset when i find time to.
I'm not sure i understood what side-loading is... but i'm 100% sure that somewhere in the system there are files that are left over. I wish i could find them or perhaps a Kitkat update sometime soon maybe help. Anyway, i'm going to try new games and then come back with this...
I recently changed back to stock for more stability with phone calls and apps. However I have a problem S Note not wanting to install on my S4. When I attempt to side load the apk it says App not installed after it acts like its installing the app. The other issue I am having is with a few games that I am reloading from Titanium Backup that worked on 4.4.3 but not on 4.4.4. I don't want to reinstall them from the store because it blanks the data out and I don't want to start over on those games.
Having stock firmware, I don't think other phones apps will work. Not sure tho.
After installing a brazilian stock rom 4.4.4 (i was using this rom without this problem in the past, i had to reinstall it for downgrade from lollipop) my quickmemo, quickremote and voice mate apps are always turned on the quicksettings panel when i reboot my device.
I already tried to reinstall these apps, downgrade them, upgrade them for the last version.
If i turn them off, they stay off until my next reboot, so is not that annoying, but i want a way to make it work like it should. Any tips for what is happening?

I'm confused about updating stock apps on my S8+. When I go to APKmirror, I can see that newer versions of apps are available like Messages, Camera, Bixby, etc... But my phone doesn't update to them. If I download the APKs and try manually installing them, I get error messages that it didn't work. I'm still under warranty for the phone with T-Mobile so I haven't rooted it and everything is stock aside from basic customizations.
What am I missing? Is there a way to force updates? Maybe a companion app that will do it for me?
