Hi. I am new at this forum.
Actually my sister was using this phone(C1905). When she was using, the phone suddenly stopped. The phone said: 'Xperia stopped working' or something like that. Anyway when we try to open the phone a message disappeared like 'Type password to decrypt storage' but she did not lock the phone with a password.
I tried to reinstall the software with PC Companion but PC Companion failed. It showed me an error message like 'Failed internet connection'. I disabled firewall, I restarted my computer, I tried a lot of things but did not work.
I tried flashtool too but I always got this message 'Processing of kernel.sin finished with errors'. I tried 3 different .ftf files but same message disappeared again.
Any idea what the problem is?

It would seem that your NAND memory has failed. You would require a motherboard replacement. Your best bet would be Sony warranty, if you have not run out.

hi2all
before post this thread i cheked all xda but anyone method did not help me
my problem is "scanning media files"
one day when i serfing inet my E975 has been rebooted
after load i got a first time boot start message
all data lost and phone ask me to set all setting from beginning
now i see alltime 'scanning media files'
I have tried the following: steps:
made hard resets - no effect
flashed using KDZ updater (E97510C_00, E97510a_00 E97510f_00) - no effect
used LGtool (selected recovery..inserted my IMEI and load) - no effect
and followed this http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2010624
but problem haven't solved
always media scanning
cant try any ways like fleshing kernel, becose need fastboot mode
cant unlock fastboot, cos cant make root... anyone way to install root not work, cos no access to phone storage
someone told me i can try to do root with adb shell... but cant find how i can use this in my sutuation
I would be very thanksfull any help
i rly dont know what should i do next....
In the past I have a problem with media scanner message, always running in the background, although I had no problems about rebooting or soft-resets, it was only a message running in the background always. The way I solve it was to go into "almacenador de medios" (dont know in english, maybe something like "media store") in app manager, and then force stop, clean data and clean cache, reboot and after a first past again, all went ok. I suppose you continue with the message after reseting maybe because cache or dalvik cache is not clean.
Hope that help.

have you tried the lg pc suite?go to lg's site and download it and the connect your phone to pc in "pc suite" mode.then from there you can do an update or press the "emergency firmware recovery" under device menu. This will propably recover your phone.

anyone knows how i can made root without access rights to sd card?
ways like "frameroot.apk" and via bat file "currentroot.bat" - not worked (all those methods need access to sd card)
or maybe there are any commands on ADB to reset or fix sd card?
i'm rly sad with my problem....
what is the model of your phone and ROM?
did You try go back to stock rom with LGMobile Support Tool?
I have same problem but it occurs when I flash to E97510D ROM (my phone is F180K):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2246867
when I want to fix it, I make emergency firmware recovery in LGMobile Support Tool (and factory reset after this).
Maybe your motherboard is giving up
no... every time I go back to stock ROM, its working fine

Does anybody else have problems trying to use PC Companion's Backup and Restore function?
It just will not work for me.
I fire it up and then choose the items I want to back up (regardless of what I choose will cause failure - I even tried selecting just basic items, which comes to about a backup the size 600KB and STILL it fails)
Basically after I select the items and click OK, it will then sit there for ages "preparing" - there's a small animation of dots going from PC to phone and vice versa.
Then after a very long time, a screen comes up specifying the size of the backup (as above, it could be 600KB or if I include photos too it will be over 1GB) and the file name I want to call it. When I click next, the progress bar starts to go up as the backup is made (again, very slowly) But it will then always randomly freeze, the PCC app goes into a state of "not responding" and the workspace of the app goes black. It then does nothing.
It's not a case of it's doing something and I have to wait, as I have waited, a VERY long time whilst it's been in this state, but nothing happens. Sometimes I get a screen saying backup failed, or sometimes it just stays black. But I can see nothing is happening as there are no I/O read/writes to the hard disk going on in Task Manager.
I've tried this on 3 different PCs, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows XP, all with the same result. I've also tried factory resets of the phone with no luck.
Does anybody else have this??
Thanks
Haii,
I think it is a problem that lots of people are dealing with.
i've got the same problems with the Sony PC Companion.
I never use that tool again, and do the factory resets on my phone and copy everything thrue the browser.
I have had trouble with PC Companion also.
It communicates with my xperia s when attempting to backup, and then when I ask it to start it stops responding and crashes.
I just don't bother with it...

Hello, im from chile. My english is very bad so tell you the version of someone else having my problem, but with Xperia ZL.
Hi my Sony Xperia ZL is stuck in a bootloop and there seems to be no way to fix it.
Context:
Firmware: Generic 1270-7584 10.3.1.A.2.67 R2B.
"" The phone was working perfectly. I needed to use Google Maps as a GPS (voice guidance mode) and there seemed to be no problem. After 5-6 minutes the phone restarted. I assumed it was nothing so started Google Maps and voice guidance again. By the moment I was arriving to my destination the phone started bootlooping.
Here's what I tried: Reset button, PC Companion, SUS, Flashtool.
- Reset button: worked once, after a few minutes the bootloop started again and the reset button doesn't fix it anymore.
- Sony PC Companion: The "repair" option does it's job, meaning that it seems to complete the update flawlessly. When I turn on the phone it starts booting but when Android starts to load I get the "Process System is not responding" message.
There's not much I can do before the phone restarts. Once it restarts it enters in Bootloop again loosing functionality on every startup. By the third or fourth startup the only thing the phone loads is the Unlock homescreen.
- Flashtool for xperia (Emma): Useless. There's nothing for my phone version there.
- Flashtool: Seems to flash the selected ftf but the bootloop is still there with the same "Process system is not responding" message. ""
In my case, the phone died after using whatsapp... but is the same
someone help me please :crying:

First: Did you installed android sdk (you'll install google usb drivers and sdk plataform), xperia Z drivers and downloaded the last version of flashtool ?
Second: boot the phone on (it will bootloop right?), now press the yellowbutton until it vibrates 3 times.
This is happening? If vibrates 3 times, probably you can save your phone. I'm at work and can't help you right now, send me a email ([email protected]) or private message.
friends, my problem was the motherboard, that was broken...
I send my phone for service and they gave me a new one free!!!:laugh::laugh:
thanks for everything
Hey gang!
(I tried searching this forum for my issue, but the search form keeps giving me errors like "An error occurred while performing a Searchlight query:
connection to 10.0.100.17:9312 failed (errno=111, msg=Connection refused)." So, sorry if there's a thread about this already :S)
I'm trying to access my M8's storage through Windows Explorer via USB. Been using a OneX until now, which lets me do that just fine. But the M8 just gives me an MTP connection when I plug in the cable, which doesn't let me look at the data on it (the device shows up in Explorer, but when I open it, it just stays empty - no files or folders).
I've tried installing the latest USB drivers from this thread but the setup just won't start. It briefly pops up in task manager, but nothing happens. Turned off UAC, anti virus and what-have-you. When I try an older version of the drivers, Windows tells me they're already installed.
Then I just went with HTC Sync. Installed it, hooked up the phone, it starts fine. But I can only access the Home, Gallery and Music tabs. The Files tab is greyed out, which I think is curious.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks!
Did you entert your PIN on your Lockscreen before you checked the explorer, else the device is shown empty ?!
