Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations on an IR app or been able to get the HTC TV app working?

This is working perfectly https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.remotefairy. You have give SU permission else it wont work.

You need to be rooted to install. Best audio mod ever imho. I would recommend using the convolver option with an IRS file that suits your needs

You could try this but i highly doubt it would work. It was pulled from the v20E Polish Firmware

Copy folder to system/app
Fix permissions for apk, folders and lib file
Restart

Porting will never happen for various reasons.
The best hope you have is Spirit FM - Start here

Spirit 2 didn't work last time I tried it on CM12, because the CM12 kernel doesn't enable the FM driver - yet.
If you need to use a non-stock ROM, you could use something like this British Radios for now. It's not bad and data plan friendly-ish.

Is there really no real hotspot hack????

Ive been looking high snd low fir a hotspot hack in a zip file or somethinb\rr
But i can not find anything besides a a tool apk or something. Anyone know if there is one ?

In Sprint Android Development section, look at the Hybrid X-series ROM, 4th post. Has both odexed and deodexed hotspot hack you can flash that works on stock ROM. I'm using it myself and works great.
