[Q] Bluetooth volume - One (M9) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey,
I am using ViperOneM9 1.9.1 on my M9
I have noticed that the volume is very low through Bluetooth, is there anyway to boost this using a rooted app or system wide equalizer?
Have had a look in the play store and at the extremebeats mod but I dont think there is an m9 compatible version of extremebeats out yet
Any help would be greatly appreciated

try viper4android from the playstore. IMO there is nothing better
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vipercn.viper4android_v2_fx&hl=en
Don't worry the app is in English. I think you must be rooted

I agree V4A let you boost an extra volume
There is also Neutron app (a music app) which let you boost the volume, but it's paid after a certain time

There is a free Volume Plus app you have to go to the developers web site to get it. Read the description for the app on the play store and it will tell you where to go.......
Alternative is equalizer by smart apps. Custom eq Max each freq. Does that break it? Its an alternative.

Just go to the developers website, he links to it in the description of the paid one. You get the paid version for free by downloading it from his site and you get the full version.

Without volume+ set to 15 my sms/msg/alarm notifications are way too low
Aham http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1500579
One question I've always had is if there's anything that just adjusts the external speaker's sound only. I know the go to solution has always been Volume+ or Music Volume EQ, but both affect sound globally, or in volume+ case starts to distort sound every time you change from BT to headphones or external speaker. All I want to do is make ringtones and notifications louder, everything else is fine.

[Q] Any app or equalizer for non-rooted HTC ONE X to increase speaker VOLUME?

So, as title says. Anyone know of one that works on non-rooted ONE X?
Yes for the speaker, since I find it so low. I want to increase it for music and games.
I dont plan on rooting or modding my phone. Hopefully theres something out there.
without root i'm using "Music Volume EQ" it's free and you can find it on play store.
it's good for volume but quality becomes worse
Be carefull, if the sound is limited there is a reason:
- for your ears
- they can degrade speaker performance over the time

Headset volume not very loud

So I picked up my LG3 for sprint over the weekend. Loving the phone so far, coming from a HTC one M7. Definitely prefer the G3 in every aspect however one thing I noticed is the headset volume is not as loud. Which sucks because I use my phone at the gym and it's a big difference from the HTC one. Is there an app that you guys would recommend to solve this issue? I saw someone mention the Beats Audio app, but can't seem to find it...
OR am I stuck until we can get a root and load a kernel to fix this?

Which headset/earbuds are you using?
Which music player are you using?
I use PowerAmp for Android (I also purchased the unlocker).
This app has hands down the best equalizer/booster/settings for any aspect of listening to music.
Try the free version, if it has solved your problem you may consider buying the unlocker.
Hope this has helped you out

Thanks Man,
I can use the stock music player it comes with since it has an equalizer as well and noticed it does make it louder. However, I mostly stream through soundcloud and so the equalizer doesn't have an effect on that.
There are also equalizers that will alter all the sound coming out of the phone.
No matter what the audio source is.
This app does that, you might give it a try.

You can change all the audio settings using ViperAudio search XDA and you will find the page, i have used this and doubles the volume and clarity, must have android mod..
I am using klipsh ear buds and they are super loud. Hurts my ears to go past about 75%. And I don't have sensitive ears either. I have a jl w7 13.5 which blasts my ears about 2 hours a day

Sorry to hijack this thread but I think most other users are having same questions probably and my question is related to DSP . I can't seem to find the ViPer4Android in the Sound effects menu after it's installed. I installed the driver and enabled it in the apps (reboot), but still can't find it under Settings > Sounds > Sound effects. How do you get it to show up?

Just fyi, you only have it showing up in Sound Effects settings if you have installed another DSP software - same behaviour as for the launcher. LG G3 has no internal DSP, just the one included in the music player, thus you cannot switch between v4a and this one.
To install v4a, I just downloaded the zip (you can find the link on the official download page), extracted the appropriate apk and installed it with a file explorer.
Only issue I've met so far is random volume decrease, and I haven't been able to figure out where that's coming from yet (install as a system app didn't solve it).
I use a different music player, so I don't know if the LG player works well with v4a and if the included dsp disables it when activated.
Hope it helps a little.

ok, thanks! I'll give it a try again and hopefully it will work better. I do have WinAmp with EQ enabled, I have read somewhere which you need to disable the WinAmp EQ for this to work, that may the the issue.

Your preferred audio app

I've a question for everyone, what audio apps are you all using? I got great sound from Xtreme Music but it absorbs lot of memory and makes my frequency stuck at 787 MHz.
The Z5 sound mod on the other hand has 2 options: Extra loud or Extra quiet.
Anyone got other suggestions?
I'm settled on z5 premium walkman port, nothing else,it is clean hassle free..
all the extra loud mods does nothing other than damaging your speakers
walkman( music) is the best

I agree a bit
Because volume controls are fine
It is a bit loud on x-loud enabled but bringing the volume down helps
Earphone volume can be increased slightly by using equalizer.
Doesn't v4a runs in background always? What about its battery usage?
Can u provide the link

This is the one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223. I haven't seen any noticeable drain, and the most I see it do is stay in memory. This app isn't that intrusive I believe, the only worry is you need SElinux set to permissive.

I didn't have to. I flashed all my files during a clean install, so the first boot would have them already. It seems to bypass the SElinux requirements too.
