Will this one NOT wipe data like the last available tar? That would be nice.
No data wipe. Still waiting for a reason to root and trip knox...

No.
If I flash will this trip Knox and/or un-root my phone? Obviously, I'm rooted.
can I flash this over ofe?
On another note, can I revert back to 5.0.2? 5.1.1 just plain sucks in my opinion....

My bad for even asking than....I never took updates I've always stayed on the lesser 4.1.1 roms and flashed custom 5.x roms over. On a side note, can you flash say sac23 rom 5.0.2? I will say in advanced, I don't look around for these answers and its easier to ask than spend 2-3+ hours trying to find a,close enough answer.
Galaxy S5 Sport
Will this work for the sport model? I can't find anything in a search on XDA for a TAR for the sport model. any help is greatly needed, thanks.
I have a Quick Question:
I have a rooted Galaxy S6 Software Ver. ending in OE2. I am on stock room but would like to update to 5.1.1
If i use Odin to update would it trip knox?
If I just flash a stock Sprint Rom with Odin will it Trip Knox in any way? I am just trying to get to 5.1.1 from 5.0.2
Thanks in Advanced.

My first post here and my first Android device.
Bought a Note 10. 1 2014 last week at Future Shop with firmware version MJ4. Heard that MK1 is the latest update but I could not find where its available. Tried Software Update in Setting function but it said my firmware is the most current. Is MK1 update coming to Canada soon?
I also bought mine from future shop almost 2 weeks ago and I'm running mj4 and it is telling me no updates available

I just flashed the ones posted via Odin..probably the fastest way to get them right now because Samsung Canada is useless.

Is the procedure explained somewhere and does it need root? Can I for example flash whatever 3rd firmware is available atm into my North European Note?
I'm totally fed up with waiting for something that is ready already and imo should have been there from the start... My tablet's major use is semi public and at the moment it's useleff for that.

Did the flashing trip the KNOX counter? Did it remain with normal status in the system info?
I'm in Canada too and also wondering why we are not getting the update. I asked in the Facebook page of Samsung Canada and as usual they don't have any information: "We don't have information about upcoming updates as of now, but when we do, we will let you know. Thank you"
I flashed mk1. The status is official. I don't think it tricks knox bit.

Where did you find a "Canadian" version of the update? I looked on Sammobile.com and did not see one listed for CAN or USA. Thoughts?
Thank you kindly in advance,

There is no "Canadian" version. Just use the region XAR. I downloaded from http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-P600. I flashed with Odin 3.09. This was done before rooting. After flashing, the status still showed official.
As for root?

Yes. I used cf-auto to root and tripped the knox. In fact I used TWRP 2.6.1 first but it run into boot loop. Then I used cf-auto to root and flash TWRP 2.6.0 (don't flash 2.6.1).

Sweet. Sounds good. So I guess you can now update with stock firmware via Odin, and reapply root after each update? Just covering my bases thank you so much!!! :victory:
I have the samsung note 2 n7105, looking on the latest and easiest way to root, and also on how to upgrade from 4.1 to 4.3 if possible.
Download from samfirmware.com the version 4.3 for note 2. Factory reset your phone. Flash it with ODIN. Than root without tripping the KNOX following this tutorial: http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/root-galaxy...id-bit-1432252
If you flash any other kernel or try Triangle away you will trip the Knox.
Another version is to flash a 4.3 rom without knox.

Root when you're on 4.1.2, then flash Ditto Note 3.
Smack that Thanks button if I helped!

Like @Irwenzhao said root on 4.1.2. At the moment there is no way to remove knox on the n7105 so I would stay away from stock 4.3 and keep your 4.1.2 bootloader. Agni and devil kernel will both fix the wifi issue of staying on 4.1.2 bootloader, it's worth it to stay away from knox. Personally I recommend ditto as well but there are a couple of stock 4.3 custom roms you can flash

I will surely try this one.
I've searched Google but I'm not sure if I've found the correct guide on flashing Devil Kernel. Can you please point out some guide how, please? :crying:
I'm a samsung noob. Been an HTC guy for a few years and moved over here last month. At this point I just rooted the stock rom so I could keep my Knox flag untripped. I want to upgrade to kitkat but I am unsure of my options. Things are a bit different on Samsungs than I'm used to. Is it possible to upgrade to one of the kitkat releases and not trip Knox?

I wouldn't worry too much about tripping Knox. I did, and I sent mine back to Samsung for a home button issue and they replaced it for me. Besides, tmobile doesn't give a crap about it at all.

So if I gave up on keeping knox intact would it be as simple as flashing twrp through Odin then flashing a kitkat rom? Would I need to flash kitkat firmware bits?

Hey, so I have a Sgh-i747 (s3 American version). And it seems like at&t is starting to roll out the 4.4.2 for almost two months now and I never had the update. So I went to the Samsung firmware site to check if I can download the 4.4. 2 from there and just flash it by Odin, I did find the firmware there but it said it's for. Canadian model). So I am asking if I can flash my phone with that firmware? I hope to get an answer.
Everything you need is in the General section. There are 3 or 4 threads that will help you update. Enewman17's seems to have a good success rate so id start there.
Can you give me a link please?

err on the side of kindness
That's just the rom I think which is fine. But if you want to fully update, this is one of the threads I was referring to.

There's another by enewman17 right next to it (for now) that would also work.

Do you know if Newman's method trips Knox or the warranty bit? I am trying to get back to 100% bone stock so I can get the OTA update, but I want to leave my warranty intact at 0.
Thx I'll give it a try right away!
Does it include the latest TouchWiz?

Using ODIN doesn't trip it? Didn't know that, good to know. What version of ODIN do I use with enewman's 4.3 tar file in order to not trip my warranty bit?
Use Odin 3.07 or 3.09.

I used ODIN 3.07 and flashed enewman's 4.3 tar file with it and it worked like a charm! I am back to 100% bone stock now and can get the OTA. It didn't trip my warranty bit or anything else. Everything in download mode says "official" and 0. Thanks DocHoliday!
I might be a newb but I have a question and would love a straight answer
Please and thank you
I have tmobile note 3 I have rooted and tripped nox
Is there a way I can get a stock lollipop that has both knox and nfc working again
I really need it working
I'm coming from dompop tekhd wich is a great rom please help
You can odin back to stock and be unrooted but you can never
undo Knox.
Once Knox is tripped, that's that.

Think of knox like you would a "new" car. Once you sign the papers and drive it off the car lot , it will never be "new" again. Knox is a security system that can not be reset.
+1 on this, too many FC's, i need a stable daily driver for work. great roms here but i need to go back to stock. I can not find where to download the correct and most up to date odin file, can anyone point me to a place to get something official? is this something i can obtain from samsung directly?
Hello hello, is there anybody in there?

Google...you are a mean mofo...... if you cant answer the question then dont post anything....
Download the stock LP firmware from sammobile.com and flash it via Odin.
If you get into a bootloop, boot into recovery and wipte cache. If that doesn't work, boot into recovery and perform a wipe/reset.
