Wont wake by turnning my wrist? - Moto 360

I had one of these watches way back at launch without 5.1.1 and ended up selling to use Windows phone. But now back on Android and with the new sales of the 360 at bestbuy had to buy again. However I cant get it to turn on by twisting my wrist up to my face. I remember my first watch did this. Is there some kind of setting I am messing in 5.1.1?
Thank you

You may close post, I found the setting within the app on the phone.

go to Android Wear - Settings - select your device and there it is.

[Q] How do I prevent the SAME notifications from constantly showing up?

So I did a bunch of searching and either I am in the wrong place, or no one else seems to have this problem, but I am seeing the same notifications showing up on my Moto 360 over and over even after I dismiss them. For example, I will get the Google Now scores for sports events (some for teams I couldn't care less about) popping up over and over and over again even after I swipe them away. They are not even real notifications on my phone - so not sure why they are popping up in the first place. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
You have to go into Google Now on your phone and configure the card settings there. Should be options to no longer see cards you're not interested in, or tweak their content. Otherwise it will periodically update phone & watch with cards - this is just how the service works.
Personally I leave it turned off completely as the benefits are meagre vs demands it makes on phone & watch power. There are more efficient ways of keeping yourself updated on the info you need when you need it, IMHO.

Thanks for the reply. So even if I dismiss the notification on the watch, and there is NO notification in the notification tray on the phone, it is expected that I still constantly receive card notifications on the watch? That seems broken to me...

next time i notification comes up...leave it alone and go to google now on your phone.. look for that card and there should be an option to no longer show this notification..

Ok, I got that, but again, my problem is not that the initial notification shows up, it's that once I swipe it away it keeps coming back. I suppose that's an issue with Google Now though and not the watch.
You are not alone.
I'm having the same issue.
Moto 360 4.4W.2 - Wear Mini Launcher
Moto X (2013) 4.4.4 - Google Now Launcher.
I'm almost certain that those launchers are doing it. Days ago I had a friends's birthday notification poping over and over again, it would back to my watch face in like 5s after I had it dismissed, when i remove wear mini launcher all that stoped.
Today I installed it again, just for sake of testing, since is a very helpful software. The problem started again, but now with a amazon delivery notification, so im uninstalling it.

Sorry to rehash an old topic, but I'm having the same issue..
The card in question is to do with sport, and I do want to see the card so turning off isn't an option, but when I swipe it away I don't want it to come back!
Anyone found a solution?

Nope, it's the way Google Now does sport cards -- if a game is in progress, it sends you constant updates. Even if you swipe the update away, the next time anything changes, it'll just reappear, until the game / match is over (once you swipe away the card for a completed game it stays away, for me). I wish Now was more customizable.

I don't mind if the game is still on, that makes complete sense, this is after the game...

Actually having exactly the same problem and it is specifically with sports cards. LG G3 (Verizon) 5.1 and G Watch R. I'll swipe a sports card away (last game score, next game time, etc.) and it will be back within a few minutes. Very irritating.

No date show?

Has anyone had an issue where you can't get watch faces to display the date? I mark "show date" in the moto connect app and it shows where it should be but nothing on the watch itself.
Also my watch doesn't load certain watch faces... Again they show up in the moto connect app but I cant find them on the watch itself. Example, I make adjustments to the "Dials II" watch face and save it. On the watch it says I update the "minimal watch face" and dials II is not an option.
Are any of these known problems and/or does anyone know a fix for them? I could use some help here. Let me know if you need additional info....
And I need a bump for some help.
Yep. I'm having the same issue after the update. No solution as of yet.

1. Unpair and RESET Moto 360 (do not turn back on until step 4).
2. Remove Moto360 pairing from phone.
3. Uninstall Android Wear and Motorola Connect, reboot device.
4. Reinstall Android Wear and setup Moto360.
5. Reinstall Motorola connect.
5a. Curse under your breath that you had to do this AGAIN.
Done.

Thanks for the help. I swear I did this like 8 or 9 times... Finally got it though.
didn't work for me... Software update did
Just got brand new moto360 from Costco. I'm on a nexus 6 stock. Watch wouldn't show date even though I customized it on moto connect and it showed a date in there. Tried the above steps and didn't work for me...
I had checked for a system update on the watch right after I set it up, and it said it was up to date. After following the instructions above with no success, out of options, I checked for updates on the watch again. Lo and behold it started downloading an update. It took about 5-10 minutes and I got a card saying it was ready to update. Of course now the battery's already down to 63% and update requires 80%+... Another 20 minutes on the charger before I could update. Update took about 15 minutes. Now everything is magically working...
Have to say, not the greatest experience so far...

[Q] Wanted: A decent Timer/Stopwatch App for Android Wear

Why is there not a decent stopwatch / timer app for Android Wear? The timer built into Google Now sucks because you can't (currently) determine timer status (how much time is left) on the ZenWatch or on your phone. You only know when time is up. I've searched and searched, but I can't find a timer / stopwatch app that (1) can be started on phone or ZenWatch, (2) will show status on both phone and ZW, regardless of which one was used to start it (3) can be started, paused, stopped or cancelled on both phone and ZW, regardless of which one was used to start it. It's bad enough that Android Wear doesn't ship with this already, but it blows my mind that a third party app doing all this isn't already on the market.

Why would you need to interact on both the phone and the watch? The timer and stopwatch functionality in Android wear is functional, and so is the clock app on Android. If I start something on my watch, why would I pull out my phone to further interact? I got a samrtwatch so I did not have to futz with my phone as much.

I'll humor your perspective and simply ask why there isn't a decent timer / stopwatch app that you can start / monitor / control / stop entirely on the ZenWatch?
As for why operate on both, many of the nascent apps for Android Wear are setup to be used both on watch and phone. Take Google Now for instance. The idea is not to force a user to use both devices, but to allow a user to use both devices. It's merely convenience. What if you start your timer on your phone when you put the steaks on the grill, but when it goes off you've walked away from your phone? You could still see the status on your watch. What if you started a stopwatch on your watch, but later you want to examine your "splits" on your phone where greater detail can be seen more easily?

Narrowing it down to that, then...Does it not on your watch? The built-in stopwatch and timer on mine show the time elapsed/remaining and let you start/pause/stop it on the watch. Is your firmware up-to-date? Maybe I just don't understand what you're asking.

Many years ago, after I'd had a very minor fender-bender car accident, my father said, "I bet it was caused by a loose nut behind the wheel." I thought he meant that my steering wheel needed adjustment, so I had my mechanic check it out. Only later did I realize his sarcasm. So with that in mind, it's hard for me to measure what I don't know. As far as I can tell, the only native stopwatch and timer on my ZW is the one you get when you say, "Start a ten minute timer...." I gather that this is provided as part of Google Now. You can't see status while it's counting down. My firmware and Android Wear are up to date. But I may have loose nut behind the wheel.
Yeah, when I do that I get this. You can also swipe left to reset or delete it. a card like this.

So, no iPhone support??

I know it was rumor and hear/say, but I was wondering if hope was still alive.
There is with third party apps
Tried the main one, Aerlink. It's a good attempt, I can't really critique as I have zero programming skills. I know the Pebble watch has good support, as do the many fitness trackers that seem to pop up every day.
I understand Apple doesn't want direct competition for their Watch, but still...
right now, google confirms iphone support, but only for the LG Watch Urbane, maybe later we'll get support too. "There is a slight catch though. Android Wear for iOS currently works with the LG Watch Urbane, while future Android Wear watches (including ones from Huawei, Asus and Motorola) will come with built-in support for iOS. "
That sounds like a 2 part update. A software update for the watch, and an actual app for iOS. I say that because if it's just an iOS app, why make the app recognize only one type of Wear hardware and exclude other types of Wear hardware? I suppose marketing comes into play, wanting users to constantly upgrade their hardware.
Seems to be working if your 360 is running the latest update Android Wear 1.3, mine is still running the last update so can't confirm. I can confirm mine will not pair with the current version I am on Android Wear 1.1.1.2006643.

I have had mine and my brothers connected with this version. You don't get watch faces but it does work. We have since updated to the 1.3 and now can use watch faces. the phone are a iphone 5 and a iphone 6 plus(mine)
Mine connected with 1.1.1.2006643, but it is draining the battery like no other. Now, I'm updating it to latest version with another phone, so I'll provide an update on how it works.
I had to remove it set it back up with my m8 to update it. With the watch connected to the iphone it would not update and the battery died very quickly.
after i updated it and resynced back to my iphone it seems fine. i'll give it a couple of days.
I've been running my 360 with my iPhone 6 Plus for 24 hours now and so far the battery drain is marginal.
That is also probably due to me digging into the features and using the watch a lot more than normal.
Big note though, WiFi sync is not available on iOS.
The toggle is not visible on the watch either.
Just got this up and running, not bad really. Mine seems to disconnect and attempt to reconnect a lot, usually giving me some kind of notification on the watch, but when it is connected it works as expected.
Has anyone tried to pair the watch to both an android and an iPhone at the same time?? I bought a few watch faces while attached to a Nexus tablet, but then did a factory reset to get my watch to pair with the iPhone, effectively removing all of my watch add-ons. I'd like to get some back....
Tried to pair with both iPhone and Android and that's a no go.
Also tried to Factory Reset, install on Android with apps and watchfaces and unpair on Android before trying to pair with iPhone.
That was a no go as well.
Probably a way to pair with both possible but no solution yet it seems.

Did it work?
How exactly did you update it to 1.3 with another phone? I've paired my moto360 with and Android phone and updated it but it won`t show on Android Wear iOS to pair...
It seems like Android Wear iOS installs the 1.1 whenever I pair it with moto360. 1.1 is draining my battery so fast it becomes a useless watch. It actually drains faster than the charger can charge.

Mine was draining battery like crazy. Updated my 360 and 2 resets later all seems like back to Normal with the battery.

Android Wear for iOS does not modify the OS on your watch.
If your watch is on 1.3, it will not change.
You have to do a factory reset in order to pair it with iOS.
Found this on Reddit written by RobertJP:
First I found one to try LCARS Android Wear Watch Face LCARS Android Wear Watch Face
Then I used the Evozi APK downloader http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/ to get the phone APK
Extracted the APK (like a zip file)
Found the APK meant for the watch (android_wear_micro_apk.apk) in the extractedapk > res > raw folder
Enabled ADB on the watch (Settings > About > tap Build Number I think 7 times which enabled Developer Options)
Swipe back to previous page, Open Developer Options
Tap ADB debugging to enable
Tap Check icon to enable it
You can now type adb shell on your computer which will give you a card on your watch to allow it
Once you have a prompt you can type exit and hit enter to get back to your computers prompt
From there you just type:
adb install /location/of/android_wear_micro_apk.apk
Once it is installed it will say so on the watch and will be available in the watch face selection carousel

This works for a USB cabled watch, Moto 360 won't work.
Works on iPhone 4s also. Or at least it is for me.
Here's my experience. With 1.1 watch os, won't work. Upgraded to 1.3. Can connect with iPhone 5s now. However, only google cards work, not other notifications from other apps. Reset it and went back with aerlink.

And once again my notification settings are ruined!

Getting really frustrated with the constant changing of how Android Wear notifications are handled.
When I first got my 360 the Do Not Disturb settings on the watch and the phone were completely independant. Neither would affect the other. It was perfect as I could actually make them do exactly what I wanted.
Then in 5.0? they linked them and ruined it. There was no way to have my watch vibrate without my phone also vibrating.
Then when my phone got Marshmallow it worked perfectly again if I put my phone in Alarms Only mode. The watch would vibrate and the phone wouldn't.
Now that my watch has updated to 6.0, the watch no longer vibrates or lights up.
Useless. Again.
Is there seriously no way to get notifications on my watch only!?
Please note that I do not want to use the "Mute phone alerts" setting in the Android Wear app, as it cannot be automated like Do Not Disturb settings can. My phone is set to automatically go into Alarms Only mode when I am at work or sleeping at night.
Yeah I agree with you, I was very disappointed when I updated to marshmallow.
There was a similar complaint on the Google product forums and the Google representative said it's working as intended.
They directed everyone to go to the android wear app and submit feedback about the issue.
I did, but any say I am optimistic Google will change anything.
