I rooted my Canvas A1 using philz recovery to CM 12.1 Sprout 4 Nightly the Google Apps package was taken as mentioned on droidone site with.cf domain. The package provided Google App and Play Store only and I installed all other Google Apps separately. While the Gmail, Drive and others are working fine, Google Keep is unable to start. It crashes at the very beginning.
Don't know it's the package or app or any other thing which is causing this.
Dear members please provide the solution to resolve this problem.
A big thanks in advance :fingers-crossed:
I had the same problem. My notes, contact and most of the other data was also gone.
You must try singing syncing your Google account.

Hello,
I was wondering if someone has a "custom GAPPS" package...Basically, I tried deleting some files in the gapps package but could not get some things to work properly, like market. I do not need all the extras like google+ and all that junk. I just need gmail, market and whatever else is mandatory to have in order to function. I've googled and searched this on here but no prevail...
Thanks!
I have created just a basic Google Apps package... nothing available on the Market and everything needed to set up a Google account on the phone... it's what I use... hope it fits your need

Awesome. I'll try it today. Seems like a smaller file already. Thanks! Yeah just need Gmail to work and market. Never use any of that other stuff like Google+ or Google messenger. Anyway thanks again I'll try it out.
I recently acquired a Gionee M2017 and have been unable to install gapps apks or root the device. There is access to sign in to the google account which indirectly grants a portal to the main google apps including mail, calendar etc. It appears gionee has not granted support to google play services. It is possible to download apps from third party app sites though. Attempts at rooting have been unsuccessful internally with downloaded apps or with PC synchronization via USB debugging. Any suggestions or possibly I will need to wait until gionee sponsors a GMS core app or device can be rooted and flashed.

rooting gionee m2017 and gapps
For more information the methods of rooting tried included: 360 root, king root, kingo root, one click root, v root, z4 root, framaroot, root master (iroot), root genius. here possible on device and rooting apps that allow PC synchronization. It allows developer option of unlocking bootloader but no effect on downloading gapps or rooting.
Same issues here.. Cannot root or use Gapps.. Tried everything but nothing is helping.. I wish someone comes out with a solution or rooting software for this Gionee M2017 at the earliest.. Feel handicap without google apps.. Any advise will be highly appreciated..
With the new amigo OS update you can now install and run google play services. Still some bugs...google contact sync stops working and you cannot access google contacts or gmail.
Gionee m2017
Bugs fixed all Google apps work. Choose always allow read contacts and always allow location in app permissions.

I have uploaded videos to you tube with instructions
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thGtYBo16p4
This is only valid for Gionee M2017 after Amigo OS is updated.
General principle is to install google services framework 6.01 (available APK mirror), followed by google contact sync 6.01, google calendar sync, google play services 10.2.99 (440), google play store.
The downloads are available https://www.apkmirror.com/
Ohhh I am so so thankful. I can't believe I am using it. I was about to throw this phone away as it was becoming useless.
You just made my year.

hi , recent updates of google play services crashes the google apps in gione m2017, i managed to download and instal older version of google play services, but once it is opened its updating itself to newest version and crashes again.
any solutions?
how do i stop it from self updating? should i waite for another version to come?
tried to root but cant find any root apps to support gionee m2017
thanks
I have not experienced that problem with my gionee m2017. I am using version 8.0.73 without any problems. It is difficult to conclude if the problem is in your app settings or the signature of your updated version. You can try to delete it and install from third party site like app China. Other option choose older version from apk mirror site. Last option would be to reinstall google play services and possibly framework for 6.0.

my gionee is running on amigo os 3.5.11 (m2017 release version) android 6.0.1, could you tell me what version of google apps are installed in your device?
i will download and instal them as well from apkmirror.com
i have reseted my phone to factory details, i want to reinstall Gapss. maybe it will help.
thanks for your reply
I provided my version of play store in the last thread. Google play services 11.0.55. I have the same amigo OS version and android version. If you already reset to factory version then the other trouble shooting for app fixes are moot. Reinstalling gapps should restore functionality.

reinstalling solves the problem partialy.
everything works fine untill google play services updates itself automatically to version 11.3.02 then it stops working.
That is bizarre. I have no suggested fix for that.
There are two ways to install gapps through Chinese installer or sequential installation apk mirror.

should have bought Samsung ok thanks ill waite for another update to google services maybe it will solve ..
After you open play store first time go settings auto update stop updates. Gionee M 2017 is not certified under settings which means occasionally apps will misbehave. There are a lot of third party app sites as well.
Hi folks,
since a few weeks, I am not able to download apps from Google Play Store. I flashed a new nightly and GApps and didn't notice the issue at first. Then I tried to update a few apps. Did not work over wifi nor over mobile data. Error code: 495. Standard internet tasks (check mails, browser, messenger apps) work as usual.
I'm on LineageOS 14.1-20170320 with Open GApps Pico 20170326 on a Nexus 6P (angler).
I've tried:
- removing Google account
- cleaning all Google Play, Google Play Services, Google Play Framework caches and data
- Flashing lineageos.zip, su_armx64.zip, opengapps, wipe cache and dalvik
- rename /system/addon.d to addon.d.bak
- Use F-Droid App Yalp Store to download. "Error at receiving or processing data in HTTP layer..<message cut here>"
Could this be the root cause?
/data/media/0/recovery.log -> "__bionic_open_tzdata: couldn't find any tzdata when looking for GMT!"
Background data is allowed for all Google apps, block all mobile network or wifi access are unchecked, AF+ Firewall is disabled.
I could use some advice here. Factory reset is not an option.
Use vpn apps, like opera vpn, onetouch vpn, etc
@Nexus4Owner1
Did u resolve ur above problem? How?
I am facing the same problem, with "lineage-14.1-20170608-nightly", in my MotoG3 (osprey) !
same here. tried everything. driving me nuts

Hi bhishmar,
didn't have the time to test. Tried Tor with no luck. It seems that something in the Google Services communication is broken. Friends of mine have a new app icon (the one without the white bag around the arrow).
@Ibuprophen: Thanks for showing me the device thread, but it seems it device unrelated, as bhishmar owns a MotoG3. So it seems more appropriate to post in a more general sub-forum.

My apologies for the delay @Nexus4Owner1 & @bhishmar as I've been swamped a bit lately
I was thrown off a bit (probably brain cramped LOL!) when bhishmar had stated Moto G3 but, after a few minutes, I had realized that G3 was only a (poorly chosen only by someone else) nickname and not a part of the devices name because it's technically a Motorola G osprey (2015 - 3rd Generation).
The following link is to the Official LineageOS 14.1 thread for that specific device.
[ROM][osprey] Official LineageOS 14.1 by Alberto97
I can only assume that the "G3" and "G 2015 3rd Generation" confusion may be why bhishmar had trouble locating the Official LineageOS thread but, the Code Name of "osprey" is what clicked with me as to where to go as well as getting me to locate the reason for the G3 confusion. G3 is a nickname for that specific Motorola Device.
Anyway... bhishmar should be heading to the thread above for any LineageOS support questions or concerns.
Thank You for your patience and understanding!

Hey, I had the same problem, so I installed some apps using google play on my pc, and sending the apps to the phone (motorola moto g3), I installed all my apps like this, but when I tried to install an app from the play store on the phone, it suddently worked. So I guess this isn't a perfect solution, but it seems it worked out for me.
I have the same problem with my galaxy S4 m919 T-Mobile can anyone help
Same problem for me in lineageos 14.1 Asus ze500kl.
Anyone have solution?
I had this problem, and disabling Play Protect fixed it!
Hi, I am new to modding but have managed to install LineageOS bundled with MicroG onto my Moto G (2015) (LineageOS 'osprey' build).
I now want to install Google Maps only via the least painful method with the absolute minimum contact with the Google ecosystem.
I tried OpenGApps but it seems to have a lot of crud that I don't want. I tried installing Playmaker via TWRP but it said the zip file was an 'invalid zip format'.
Is there any method directly via an apk or some such or will I have to use a repository of some kind? In either case could someone please advise on the best way to proceed?
Thanks kindly in advance!

Thanks very much fella, went with Yalp, works a charm!
Someone else has the problem of gyroscope \ wrong direction with gmaps and microG?
Lol.
Dont use microg.
Dont use gapps.
Dont use google maps.
Open your webbrowser (preffer bromite) and then go to google.maps.com or whatever the site is...
No need to install things that can also be accessed via a browser...
Open Street Maps (osmand) is opensource and excellent. All maps are downloaded locally and as long as you have a GPS fix, it works without a cell connection. (assuming you have the maps). The database (addresses) is not as refined as others but works well and avoids using G and F.
https://osmand.net/
Of course they have G and Amazon app store links. Avoid that, if you contact them they might give you a download link for their apk after payment on amazon. Did not have to install the Amazon app store, just used them for payment.
Open street maps also has a website.
https://www.openstreetmap.org/
@Privacydroid is right-on, don't install apps you have not examined for their network activity. Especially if you can access on a browser (some of which can be configured to block useless domains).
Having been impressed by Nougat on my wife's tablet I decided to flash mine: so far so good and OK with Gapps.
But I would like to be able to sync with my Google account and access Playstore etc. as I can't find many of the apps I use on other sites.
I have tried various versions of Play Services which install but do not seem to work all with prefix 40040
Any advice gratefully received.
Or should I just reload Kit Kat ?? Is that possible and where would I get basic apps.
Thanks in advance
Nick
