Hi
I have V10a-EUR-XX on my phone, and there's no OTA showing despite 10b and 10c being out there.
I've tried using LG Bridge as suggested by support and 10b shows as available but no matter what I do it stops at 23 seconds in as it gets to 100% on "Preparing phone for update"
I've tried it on two different laptops, a Win7 one and a Win10 one, and even as administrator.
Anyone have any ideas or other way of sorting this?
I'm having the same problem. Update shows up in LG Bridge (but not OTA) but won't get past the "Preparing phone for update" stage. I'm using Windows 8.1 and i've tried as administrator and not.

I've been going back and forth with LG support and they've not been overly helpful so far.
Just curious, was your phone given to you as part of The Insiders campaign?

I may try later using the KDZ and the LG Flash Tool
Hi All. I'm new to this Good Life of LG, having come from previously only owning Samsung devices where we used Odin to flash stock firmware and modems.
I will at some point Google the info I need but was hoping you could help refine my search with regards .kdz files and the flash tool.
I am currently on v10a-ZAF-XX (South Africa) on my H815P. How much damage will I cause if I flash EUR firmware on my device and will it format my internal storage?

Yes, it was... I did wonder if it might be related to that. Not sure what's different though.
Not sure, but I noticed out FW are VX10 and not V10

Did you get anywhere with this? I've still not received the update OTA and LG Bridge still won't work...
Flashed it with the LG Flashtool in the end.

Is that from this thread? I assume it's the UK H81510B_00.kdz file? Did it wipe your phone or were you able to keep data?

Hi Guys,
I also got my phone through the UK Insiders Campaign. Im trying to update to Marshmallow via the LG Bridge, which has recognised my phone and recognised there is a Marshmallow update available. However, the SAME issue of "Preparing phone for update... 100%" is showing up and not moving!
Any way to get this update flashed on to my device, baring in mind I haven't rooted!
Cant believe I backed up & wiped my phone before I did this! argh.

Hi guys,
I'm new here and was hoping one of you maybe able to help? I rooted my phone last night at work and all went fine. I thought as I was on a role I would do the camera mod too but that's when it all went wrong!
I was rebooting my phone over and over with no issue at all trying to trouble shoot. The phone was working great well apart from the camera lol But when i rebooted it it now just sticks at the LG splash screen with the top led flashing green/blue!
Now I can hold down the button config to get into recovery and it just offers a factory reset so I selected this and it just boots back into this state again!
I have had the battery out for a while and even left it just sitting but it seems knackered for some reason..PLEASE HELP. PLEASE.
Now I have only had the phone for 3 days so what are the odds of getting it replaced and stating it's faulty?
Plug it into your PC and use LG PC SUITE. Restore to factory state

Hi, As it is stuck on the boot logo the pc will not see the phone. I tried connecting it to the lg pc suite a few times when it was running but it would not find the phone.
There's a guide in the general section to restore stock firmware. Give it a whirl

Hi, Yeah i have seen that but most of it goes over my head about the F400 s/k/l models etc i have the uk version and cannot find a straight forward guide. But that's because it is so new i guess.
I may just call the provider and say it's shot! Is there any way they can prove it's been played with when it is this bricked?
Should be a guide for the D855, same model as I have. - depends who the carrier is. O2 can be pissy as can Vodafone and EE. THREE are easy to deal with tho. Because it's in your 14 days, they'll probably replace no questions asked for now.

I'm on 02, there doesn't seem to be any UK TOT files what ever they are only europe/America etc bit to early yet. I really don't see why it has failed it was working perfect then just died.
Give O2 a bell and see what they say. Within the 14 days they'll replace it for you. Unless you get a root savvy salesman who tries to be snotty lol. But tbh you'll be OK for a replacement.

By chance did you take a look at these TOT files? If you are having an issue where your device is only booting to the LG screen and then nothing else, try this. Remove the battery, put battery back in. Plug in your device via USB to your Windows computer, then hold Volume + and the Power button to launch the Download Mode. Download the files TOT file, DLL file, LG Flash Tool, LG Driver and follow the instructions in the above link and this should lead you to restoring your device.

I wasn't referring to restoring your device to the carriers specific settings, I was referring to restoring your LG D855 which that is the device you own is that correct? If so, have another look at my suggestion.

Hi Guys sorry for the late reply,
I have my phone up and running now by flashing the EUR 16GB TOT. And it's working like a charm. Now in the software it states V10a-EUR. My question is. Is this right for the UK and will it void the warranty?
I have read on here that some with the EUR software have trouble with 02/tesco 4g but I can say mine has been running great with 4G.
Thanks again for all the help.

Hi, Ok great sounds like a plan. Was having major issues trying to get it to link to the pc suite so trying on another pc. hope this works this time.
I have what I thought was a n910f so a root was possible but when in download mode it shows up as a n910a which I didnt notice. I used kingroot which also showed my phone as a n910f and when my phone rebooted it said return it to at&t because it was running unauthorised software. I was running 4.4.4 does anyone have any information of how I can fix it please?

Ok, so the samsung kies did not fix my Note 4 (SM-N910A).
I did find this:
http://androidromupdate.com/att-galaxy-note-4-sm-n910a-stock-firmware
downloaded the 5.1.1 package which contains, not just the AP file, but the BL, CP, and the CSC... ALL 4 Must be flashed with Odin 3.09, at the same time.
My phone is now working again.
Did anyone fix their phone yet?

Hi, I'm in the soft-brick syndrome.
This is my first go at rooting my phone (SM-N910A) - at least i was smart enough to try it after i upgraded
anyhoo, i researched and read. i installed my usb drivers, odin, and downloaded the suggested firmware. i couldn't talk between my computer and phone; so, i tried kingroot - big mistake. it failed in the middle and now i'm getting a startup error that says secure fail: kernel, then the blah, blah, blah go to AT&T store blah blah blah.... error.
i finally was able to reinstall the usb drivers and believe that odin can talk to my phone, but i receive a fail message when i try to install the firmware.
what to do? please help.

hey pal im in the sameboat ,and like you i also made the fatal mistake of using kingroot. only cause i used it on SM-E700M and worked fine so i tried it on the note 4 and now i have no clue what to do next should i try to re root it again or maybe try to install the lolipop system it came with or do i try to upgrade or maybe try and install original firmware i can really use your advice what do you think?
no progress yet. i tried loading 5.1.1 and the original version (4.4.x ... whatever it was). both failed. i think that i might be approaching the issue incorrectly.
i think that i might have rooted the phone but tripped knox - when i startup i see in icon of a padlock that's open and it says custom underneath. but i get the error stating about non-standard software installed. i'm going to continue to research and see if i can figure out how to reset / remove knox.
i saw that there was someone who went back to ATT to have them reset the phone ... does anyone know whether they'll do it? at least i could have the phone at a "ready" state to try again ... after more research and prep. ;- )
not real progress, but...
i researched some more and feel as if i made some progress with odin3v1.85.
i followed directions from this article: How to Unroot / Unbrick Balaxy Note 4 (i found on the androidrootz site - sorry, i'm not allowed to post a url yet)
so, i'm still bricked, but this process was able to communicate with my phone and reported that flashing the firmware was successful.
incremental progress ... maybe ...
my solution
while i would have preferred to be able to figure it out, i couldn't.
i took the phone to AT&T today and they re-imaged it. all is clear and it's back to factory settings - no cost.

Unfortunatly, once you are on 5.1.1 there is no downgrading back to 4.4.4. Many have tried, non have suceeded. Am I saying it is impossible, I do not believe anything is impossible, but right now we do not have the right tools. Take care.
Yah. I tried had to reinstall the 5.1.1 firmware again. 17step procedure is a lil more than im capable of. Think the note 4 is getting sold. Moto x pure or another nexus. Thanks you guys on here it's where I got the firmware.

I'm not new to roms and rooting/flashing but recently I bought an LG G3 on ebay. The phone model says it was an unlocked d851. I know it's the T-Mobile variant and it even says it's D851 on the system settings. It is currently on kitkat 4.4.2. The point is, I want to flash the Lollipop kdz for the T-Mobile variant but whenever I power the phone on, I get the Viaero Wireless bootloader and the phone does not have any T-Mobile apps whatsoever. Any suggestions on what I can do in this situation? Any help would be highly appreciated

You mean the Viaero Wireless boot animation.
You'll be good to go ahead and flash T-Mobile D851 ROM's since it is a true D851 device. Sounds like its pretty much been flashed with a ROM already. Have you checked to see if it has root access? If not download Root Checker and test it. If not rooted then just go through the normal root process, install the recovery, and then flash the ROM you want. You'll be good to go.

Would I be able to recover my phone if it was bricked if flashing the kdz went wrong? A friend of mine had the g4 from sprint and he was on a bootloop and I downloaded what was suppose to be the sprint firmware of the g4 and after flashing it there was an error and the screen is all black. I can search that and get back with you. I'm actually not sure and can't give you an answer on that right now. I will let you know as soon as I find out. I've personally never run into that problem on a G3. Hopefully there is a program like Odin for Samsung devices.

Oh I actually do remember how to restore an LG if you ever get a bootloop.
You go to LG's site and download and install the LG PC Suite. Make sure to have the USB/modem drivers for your phone installed as well. Once you get the program installed, run it and plug the phone up in download mode. To do that you press and hold volume + when plugging in the usb cable. The PC Suite will recognize the phone and you click repair. Just follow the instructions after that.
That should work for the G4 as well.

Will do :good:
Hi All,
I sent my Nexus 5x for repair and they gave me an option of "reparing ($77)" and refurbishing" $190".
I'm comfortable with ADB, fastboot and all that jazz so I thought I'll just get it repaired.
Well , I turn on the phone and I greeted with the go to go.c/ABH page
Then it loads some "miniOS" and ends in an all orange screen saying WARNING Not supported QEM = 0
And that is where it is stuck.
NEVER seen this before in my life.
So I get into boot loader.
FAST boot is locked the OEM unlock command doesn't work - FAILED (remote: oem unlock is not allowed)
Next thing I try.
Open recovery, start adb, get myself the latest OTA from google side, side load it.
SIGNATURE FAILED.
I tried EVERY single OTA file on the site and all failed.
So I'm stumped... Any advice or insight is greatly appreciated.

NEVER MIND I'LL SEARCH the forums and get it done.
Thank you for help.

These LG problems are not 1 in every 10,000 handsets there selling dodgy phone's knowingly and expecting the customers to sit by and get ripped off they have just lost a lawsuit for the g4 and v10 handsets and instead of everyone allowing it we need to jointly stand together from all over the world and do something collectively and kick up a stink until we make enough noise they end up in court again if they don't give us refunds. If you're not interested in this it's going to be harder for the people who want to get something done about it
Just flash kdz or tot
I seen minios several time after i flash tot and unplug it before.

KDZ is LG Phone firmware image
Can be flash by lg flash tool.
Usually use in LG phone that lg published own firmware version.
In Nexus Google usually published firmware so as you can see flash via fastboot.
TOT is lg factory firmware image

Ok so here is where I'm stuck. Looking for a KDZ file.
I don't see anything for 5X. Am I supposed to use the G2 one or something else?
Ok here is the thread I'm following
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/help/req-help-to-unbrick-t3251740
I'm going to be using the 32GB TOT and then reverting back to stock 16gb Google OTA.
THIS WORKED OUT WELL. THANK YOU all for help.
hi guys and thank you for a great forum.
Ive been trying to flash my phone from current pie 1kr korean to android 10 1kr stock rom from lg-firmwares and it get stuck on bootloop. ROM file used is "G710NOP30d_00_OPEN_KR_OP_0429.kdz"
I have tried other stock roms without luck.
only thing that works is rollback to Pie G710NOP20k_00_OPEN_KR_OP_1220.kdz
I am assuming my environment on win 10 is working as i can flash back to pie and phone boots correctly.
any idea what i should try next. ive been phone less for 2 days getting annoying. any help would be appreciated.
thanks in advance.

Try to crossflash using crossflash guide.
BTW why are you not getting this update officially through OTA?

Also check if the kdz is downloaded properly. File size needs to be above 3gb.
Lg-firmwares is showing only 700mb file.

I wish i did get it on OTA but this is a refurbished phone from aliexpress without serial number (S/N is on the back of the phone but not in OS). if you guys know how i can enable OTA on g710n in spain please do let me know.
file size is above 3gb and also lg up is not complaining as i know it does initial check before flashing.
I just cross flashed with this kdz file G710EM30b_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0707.kdz without any luck it still gets stuck on lg logo.

There is a thread in guides section called android 10 for g710. Maybe you can try their methods there or ask them for help as they have the same model as you.

lgup_cmd.exe com4 "C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP\model\common\LGUP_Common.dll" "C:\Users\Saddat\Downloads\G710EM30b_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0707.kdz"
and it still gets stuck on boot loop with lg log stuck.
can it be the missing serial number? should i find a way to add the serial number i have on the back of the phone into the phone?¿ im out of idea....
