Hey guys,
I am trying to pair my note 4 with my vehicle. It has the Acura Link that I believe that uses bluetooth tethering to connect to the Acura mainframe. I know the steps to get it to connect but I don't know what to put in the boxes. It is asking for the Dial String, the PPP Username, and the PPP password. I don't know what those are.
My phone is a AT&T Note 4 with a Straight Talk Sim Card.
Please help.
Thanks!

My galaxy S3 connects to my carkit (RNS510 premium from VW/Audi/Skoda) in rsap / remote sim mode by default. This means i cannot continue the call when I want to get out of the car, which is annoying. If i disconnect the carkit from the phone manually and reconnect via the menu in the galaxy i get the correct protocol (not sure what its called, believe a2dp).
Basically i want to disable rsap/remote sim on my galaxy so they always pair via the correct protocol, like it does with an iphone or windows phone.
Anyone knows how to do this?

On your phone, unpair VW phone. Then change your phone's name (not sure about that part, I did it anyway as I was kind of inventing it as I went). Start the pairing process all over again. When after first connection it asks you on your phone for sim access permission, check never ask again and click cancel. That's it. Peace!
Hi, I'm trying to connect my Galaxy Nexus Unlocked to a Bluetooth dongle. My Nexus sees the device but when I click on it, it gives me a 6 digit passkey to enter on the dongle. The dongle has preset 4 digit codes and there's no way to enter a different passkey on the device/dongle.
So...is there a way to manually enter a different passkey on my Nexus?
Is this a Legacy pairing vs SSP problem? Read about that after googling for a while.
Thanks!
I have t-mobile Note 2 SGH-T889 Android 4.1.2 ( non rooted)
I just got garmin GPS 3490 lmt which has texting feature ( read or create message when connected to Phone via Bluetooth) if phone supports Bluetooth Message Access Protocol
( garmin link below)
http://support.garmin.com/support/s...caseId={9f9572b0-1082-11e1-73d0-000000000000}
I can access contact list and dial number from GPS but cant do any message (text) related operation.
1) Does t-mobile note 2 supports Bluetooth Message Access Protocol ?
2) if yes, how to create or set that so i can see text message on my GPS?
thanks in advance.

Is the Bluetooth device compatible? S4's are Bluetooth 4.0 and I don't think they are backwards compatible.

Incorrect. Bluetooth is backwards compatible.
Wunderle, you'll need to post a lot more info than that if you want help troubleshooting. E.g., what kind device(s) are you trying to connect, do they connect to other Bluetooth devices, what steps have you tried, what errors are you getting...

I have simalar problem I have tmobile s4 stock rooted 4.2.2 bluetooth connects to some devices like aluratek istream, 2007 toyota handfree,
will not connect to 2013-2014 acura handfree systems will not connect to magellan roadmate 9250t-lmb which is a 2013 product. s4 can see item for pairing but when access code pops up to connect it immediately fails and reprompts to try again meaning when code entered on s4 it resets back to bluetooth pair list. is there a way to patch other bluetooth files or change. tested with s2 and it connects to everything.
