Hello there, I currently have a LG G3 T-Mobile Edition (D851) As of now, I have Cyanogenmod 12.1 installed on it, with (TWRP RECOVERY)
I was wondering how I could switch back to LG Stock Firmware, I have been trying to look for tutorials, I've had no luck.
I still would like to keep my custom recovery (TWRP) I would also like to keep my root or re-root again.
Anyways, I've found this page which the download links don't work and it's old, the new firmware I need isn't available there, + I don't think it has been updated.....
If anyone knows a method or has any tutorials, please comment below and let me know.
I really need to get back to stock by the end of the day if possible. So any and every bit of help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Hi All,
I got LG LTE LU6200 as gift from my aunt. But it is loaded with tons of Korean apps, which I don't need. I am also unable to uninstall them.
Currently my phone has Android Version 4.0.4 and Software Version LU620167.
I couldn't find any complete help for rooting and installing custom ROM in this phone. Can someone help me in this regard? (considering me as a newbie)
I will be very thankful for any help or response.

So your'e saying that none of the threads in the LU6200 forum tell you how to root and/or install custom ROMs? There's a few threads on the 1st page about rooting, unbricking, and installing CWM on the LU6200.

If it's in download mode, can you resume the guide from where you place it into download mode? Have you attempted to perform a factory reset (press and hold volume down and the power button until the factory reset screen comes on)
If none of that works, there looks to be a couple other guides there; best bet would be to try them. If all else fails and you need your phone to at the very least, work as a phone, you might can try to update your phone to stock using the LG update software.

Yes, I performed a hard reset, and after that, LG logo appears and then again I am back to download mode screen
Can you please give me a link for other guides as this forum is flooded with topics and I couldn't judge which procedure should I follow?
Once rooted, you can use Root Explorer to remove native Korean apps (AhnLab, LG counsellor, Tservice etc.)
Can anybody please tell me if this phone is USB-OTG (USB Host) enabled?

Try to search again in the LU6200 development area for your question, if you are not able to find the solution in there you will have to translate vietnamense and chinese LU6200 sites with google translator

We both have the same problem. We both have partition error and unable to boot the phone and causes the hardware to malfunction. We also don't have IMEI which I used the lgflashtool and stated null. So we have to wait for a really good solution to unbrick this hardbricked phone

Hey guys massive noob here, wondering if it is possible to downgrade from android l to kitkat or to root android L on the G3. I foolishly updated and my root is gone, stump is not working (obviously not made for L yet) and I can't find any help elsewhere.
I need to root my phone and I don't care whether the the best way is to downgrade or to root if it is available for the new os. I will lose my data other than what is backed up via dropbox etc but it's not a big deal for me.
Help much appreciated thanks
Yes it is possible just downgrade to Kitkat using the lg flash tool then root using Purpledrake
You can get the KDZ file required from this link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2791761 (make sure you select the correct file)
LG Flash tool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
Root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/root-root-lg-g3-easily-purpledrake-lite-t2821000
Yup, what he said it's fairly easy. Give it try, let us know if you need help.

I've fallen at the first hurdle, which firmware do I need?
I have a UK vodafone LG G3, 16GB, LG-D855, and I want the last version of kit kat available. I'm more than a noob.. .
Also why do you choose Purpledrake over stump, is there any difference?
Thank you so much
This firmware you want is A6VF, it is near the bottom of the list.
The reason I use purpledrake over stump is because some times it won't root and says "...Not supported" but feel free to try stump if you want and if it doesn't work just use purpledrake.
Hi. I got trapped with unrooting and updating to lollipop lg g3 D85520e-EUR-XX and wanted to return to kit kat 4.4.2. It's the 32 Gb model. Can you help with the KDZ i must download (I can't understand the four first characters of the list!). Thanks!
What network are you currently using? or is it an unlocked phone. A country name would also be helpful as that's how the files are organized.

It's unlocked. It's in Spain. Lg g3 D85520e. 32 Gb model. It came with kit kat 4.4.2 and i aplied PurpleDrake succesfully. Then I unrooted to upgrade to Lollipop 5. Ver. 20e. And now, I can't root anymore. So I would like to downgrade to Kit Kat 4.4.2 to be able to root again with PurpleDrake to recover my root privileges, especially to manage apps and their writing to the external sd card.
Thanks very much for your help!
To get the exact suffix required use this website
http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=IMEI
Replace IMEI with your imei then press enter. Then post your suffix
It looks like if it were the same KDZ already installed... : FW9BRPVE022NAX045560S86/D85520E_00.kdz ??? What I need is the Kit Kat version 4.4.2 10x(a,b,c,...) to downgrade from this one (20e) and be able to root again the phone. I probably have explained myself wrong. Any idea?
And thanks for your efforts, by the way!

Hey guys,
I happen to be a fool and I managed to soft-brick my Sprint LG G2 the second day I owned it. Yeah, I know it's a stupid move, but I am hoping that there is a hero out there in the crowd who can save me today. In order for you to help an idiot like me, I am going to list the steps that I took to soft-brick my phone.
1. First of all, I noticed that there was no SIM in my Sprint LG G2 and because of that I couldn't get any software updates whatsoever. :silly:
2. Second of all, the fact that I could get absolutely no software updates whatsoever hit me in the nerve and I would not accept that simple fact to save my life. I than proceeded to root my phone (using Towelroot, of course), and thus leads us on to step 3.
3. Next, I tried to flash CyanogenMod's 12 Nightly Lollipop Update to update my phone. I did initially use ClockworkMod to flash the new update, but it failed miserably. :good:
4. Finally, I tried flashing the update via ADB sideload and I followed almost all of the instructions but they must have forgot to mention that you need to update the bootloader because I was running Android 4.4.2 and it failed, leaving my phone in a boot loop, completely useless. I can enter recovery and download mode if that helps.
I would appreciate any help that you Android wizards could conjure up for me, but if there is nothing that you have to recommend, that is okay too.

Hey,
Your question doesn't seem to be correct. You need to explain a little more about it. Before i can help you i want to ask these questions.
1: Have you rooted your device. 2: Have you flashed twrp recovery. 3: If you are running a stock marshmallow rom then how you installed it by LG Tool or KDZ method. 4: How are you trying to open this recovery (By key combination or some type of software)
I know these are strange questions but i can help you better in this way.

I suggest you do a lot of reading and when you think you understand it all read again because if you don't you may make your phone unusable.I give you this warning because obviously with the answers you have given you lack the basic knowledge of rooting and installing a custom recovery.
I recommend you read these links and then read them again until you are 100% sure you know what you are doing >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/lg-g3-sticky-roll-thread-t3123907 << if you have questions on any of the links just post the qustion in the relevant thread for the link given. I'm not trying to put you off just trying to make sure you understand everything so that you don't make your device unusable.
Good luck and do plenty of reading first..
