Good am guys, I'm from the philippines and I have a samsung galaxy s4 mini i9195t 4g LTE came from australia with vodafone sim last year. I'm using our local simcard. Can't access free data, 3g and 4g LTE. Upon researching i saw that I can only access 2g network which is the reason I'm here
Can anyone. Is there any way that I can access 3G and 4G LTE signal? I never root this phone nor unlock and the system was never been touch. When I got it I just insert my local sim.
Please help me guys I've been searching for the right forum for the solution of this problem.
Did you search at phone's settings for 4G or 3G? Maybe it's switched to 2G.Your SIM card is 4G?
Yes I tried to switch it to LTE/WCDMA/. WCDMA/GSM. WCDMA. It doesn't receive any signal at all. Even though im near from the 3g or LTE network. I can't even use surf promo when I registered to a surf promo here it always eat my balance. And i am not receiving 3g or 4g. It's just letter E always.

I started using t-mobile monthly 4g on my phone this past month, purchased the non-gba 50.01 sim card from ebay and activated it with another t-mobile activation kit. The service has been so bad on my phone. The signal will intermittently switch on and off around every 15-45 seconds. The best internet I get is 2g, this is part of htc one x's band not being able to use t-mobile's 3g and 4g right? I'm also rooted and on cyanogenmod 10 if that helps narrow the problem. Would t-mobile's old sim card have anything to do with the service being bad, because the coverage map is excellent in my area.

Hox can access the 3g network just fine. I would go and question T-Mobile.

Hi All. Long time since I’ve posted but looking at getting a note 2 tomorrow.
Now I live in Australia and on the Optus network but using a cheap provider that at the moment only uses their 3G network.
At the moment I have a sim card setupfor the 3G network.,
At the moment Vaya don’t have access to the Optus 4G network (1800MHz frequency) but it is gonna happen.
Can I buy a LTE version and use my current sim and run on the 3G (H+ even) using my existing sim card and the 4G note 2?
Then when Vaya release their 4G plans I can grab a 4G sim (or is 4G just account and phone dependant??) and away I go?
I believe it shouldn’t be a problem as the phone still operates on the 3G network as if I bought a N7100 if 4G is not enabled. But it will use more power just having that chip sitting in there.
yes, it will work.
it will only work in 4g if a 4g network is supported from your carrier. otherwise it will revert to the fastest network from your carrier that is supported by the device, which in most cases is hsdpa.

Thanks for your reply.
Now I've been searching everywhere for good analysis on the 3G and 4G battery comparison but there isn't much out there but personal thoughts. Well there is more on the S3 so maybe that is a good guideline.
So the 4G version with LTE turned on can only achieve half the screen on time of the 3G version. Wow that terrible. With LTE off it last about 7-8 hours screen time rather than closer to 10 hours to the 3 version.
Has anyone got some good links that compare the battery life between the two models? I can live with turning 4G off most of the time if it doesn't drain too much but I don't need the speed if it has a big toll on the battery life even with LTE turned off.

Its touched on here but still not sure.

Got a new F460S on Swappa and love it, but have one question: unlike my previous phone, this never shows a "4G" symbol when connected to the network. Does show LTE and is fine then, data connection very fast. But when out of LTE area, shows only 3G and never 4G, at the same locations where my previous device (Galaxy Note 3) did show 4G. The data connection does seem very slow when 3G is indicated. Is there any way to enable 4G for AT&T network on this device?

I have the F460S on AT&T and I get LTE, 4G, 3G etc... I have only gotten 4G in some areas but I usually get LTE. I used speed test to see the speeds and it was 30mbs download and 15mbs upload which is definitely LTE. The phone may only show 4G because its more accurate than saying LTE which the Note may have improperly listed if it was an AT&T model. My wifes S5 which is the AT&T model will say LTE (it only says 3G, LTE and never 4G) and my G3 will have 4G. I think it has more to do with what the phone is programmed to display and obviously AT&T would rather say LTE than 4G.
What happened ?
i have I9192 and use 2 sim both sim have internet connection one is 3G an other is 2G and the network for both sim are WCDMA/GSM AND GSM only respectively. when i use 3G it did not get full speed 18kb-40kb even it is slower than my 2G network. when i tether the 3G network it get full speed as say 1mb -2mb.
i call to customer care but not get help. so i thought that its may be the problem of phone. so help me plsssss
thanks in advance.
sorry for bad English
hello people!
last year i was using a samsung galaxy mega i9205 4G with a 3G sim. so I went to Orange to take a 4G sim. DONE!
my phone broke and i had to use the sim in another phone, N7000, 3G. when i was outside, not connected to WIFI, the signal disappeared. after a restart, the signal was back, but for some short time.
i changed the N7000 with a Huawei P8lite 4G and the problem was gone.
after a while i changed the Huawei for a N7100 and the problem is back... if i change to GSM mode, i have signal, but if i change it to 3G mode, the signal is gone. the sim card is 4G. i can't find any 3G sim card any more in the stores.
the guys from client support didn't hear of this issue until now...
