When attempting to add my work SSID via Android Wear app, there are no Enterprise level security options.
Has anyone by chance found a way to connect watch to Enterprise WiFi?

I've heard some people say that when they're rooted, their wireless tether, another Android device such as a tablet or phone can't pick it up do to it being an adhoc network.
Question is, what's an adhoc network?
And how come MY wireless tether can be picked up by my Android tablet. But someone elses wireless tether doesn't work on their Android tablet?

On wireless computer networks, ad-hoc mode is a method for wireless devices to directly communicate with each other. Operating in ad-hoc mode allows all wireless devices within range of each other to discover and communicate in peer-to-peer fashion without involving central access points (including those built in to broadband wireless routers).
To set up an ad-hoc wireless network, each wireless adapter must be configured for ad-hoc mode versus the alternative infrastructure mode. In addition, all wireless adapters on the ad-hoc network must use the same SSID and the same channel number.
An ad-hoc network tends to feature a small group of devices all in very close proximity to each other. Performance suffers as the number of devices grows, and a large ad-hoc network quickly becomes difficult to manage. Ad-hoc networks cannot bridge to wired LANs or to the Internet without installing a special-purpose gateway.
Ad hoc networks make sense when needing to build a small, all-wireless LAN quickly and spend the minimum amount of money on equipment. Ad hoc networks also work well as a temporary fallback mechanism if normally-available infrastructure mode gear (access points or routers) stop functioning.
Infrastructure mode wireless networking bridges (joins) a wireless network to a wired Ethernet network. Infrastructure mode wireless also supports central connection points for WLAN clients.
A wireless access point (AP) is required for infrastructure mode wireless networking. To join the WLAN, the AP and all wireless clients must be configured to use the same SSID. The AP is then cabled to the wired network to allow wireless clients access to, for example, Internet connections or printers. Additional APs can be added to the WLAN to increase the reach of the infrastructure and support any number of wireless clients.
Compared to the alternative, ad-hoc wireless networks, infrastructure mode networks offer the advantage of scalability, centralized security management and improved reach. The disadvantage of infrastructure wireless networks is simply the additional cost to purchase AP hardware.
Note that home wireless routers all feature a built-in AP to support infrastructure mode.

Think of it like this. Hotspot mod (infrastructure) on this phone is like connecting to a router. Wireless tether (ad hoc) is like doing internet connection sharing on a computer. You'll have to find a mod for the device that can't see or connect to ad hoc, to make it work. There are different ways to accomplish the same thing in different devices. With a galaxy tab, it's replacing a file. I'm probably wrong but with the Xoom, you need a modded kernel.
Also, as the saying goes, Google is your friend.
I couldn't connect my wife's laptop to the hotspot on my phone until I lowered the security on the hotspot settings to WPA. Default was WPA2. Something to keep in mind if a device won't connect.
I setup the anyconnect client on my phone which works great. I can access internal web pages, ssh to internal devices. Problem is that if I launch the anyconnect client on the phone, and then wifi tether my laptop to the phone, the phone will not forward the traffic from the tethered device to the Anyconnect VPN.
FWIW, Wifi Tethering works fine without the Anyconnect.
Running Task650's 4.2.2 rom and the Anyconnect for root users on the phone.

The issue:
You might already know this but your network admin configured the app to prevent sharing of the connection. This is a common measure to prevent breaches in security. Looking at the Cisco AnyConnect release notes:
Cisco has qualified the AnyConnect VPN client over a bluetooth or USB tethered Apple iPhone only. Network connectivity provided by other tethered devices should be verified with the AnyConnect VPN client before deployment.

The WorkAround
How AnyConnect works on the android is the same as on a computer, which is documented on SuperUser.
So what we have to do is either, export the VPN profile to another VPN app, or change the variable in memory that prevents tethering of the AnyConnect VPN session.

My work uses a specific VPN setup for use. How can I setup VPN to their servers on my Surface RT? Are any clients able to run on RT?

On non-jailbroken RT, there are only two options I know of for VPN access:
1) Use the built-in Microsoft VPN capability. This is accessed the same way as on other Windows machines. It won't work with most third-party VPN servers, though.
2) Use a device that is able to access the VPN and then share a WiFi network from that device, exposing the VPN via connection sharing. This is likely against company policy, though, since in that case anybody who can see that WiFi network can get into the VPN as well (if they have / can guess / can crack the password).

I don't know for home the RT was made, since iOS and Android have more functionality than RT. I may end up selling my RT...... :crying:
Depends how you define "more functionality" - I mean, neither iOS nor Android have a built-in VPN feature, for example, as far as I know. They most certainly didn't at less than 1.5 years since release. However, it is true that both of them eventually added support for third-party VPNs (Android had unofficial support via rooting the device earlier, which is sort-of possible on RT if anybody bothered to port VPN clients to jailbroken RT) and RT does not have any such official support yet.
With that said, yeah, Microsoft markets RT as a home-and-student thing, not a business thing (the first version didn't have Outlook, for example).

Same experience here. It seems that enterprise networks are not implemented for now.
I have configured a WPA2 enterprise WiFi (without special ca certificates) on my mobile phone and synchronized it with the watch. It seems the watch can "see" the network (there is an wifi symbol with an exclamation mark) but it doesn't connect.
I have problem with VPN. I am using hamachi (mesh network, no central server) and hamachi works on every other android device (exactly same setup) . And on my A50, I can't get successfully connection. Setting up app as device admin is not option because there is no app, only 3 certificates that are installed and add VPN setup. I know there is issues with samsung devices and VPN, any chances that is fixed on some way? Thy in advance.
