Hi,
My t705 has found a new problem.
It constantly loses mobile signal and brings back the signal a few moments later.
At the time when the signal is lost, if i touch the screen, dark bars appears vertically on screen and vanishes in a blink of eye and if i continue touching and working with screen, the tablet resets.
Not to mention I have no problem if the device is connected to the power source. I mean when it is charging, the device is working perfectly. When i disconnect from the charger, the problem rises again, no matter at which level the battery is charged.
I tired, safe mode, removing sim, selecting gsm only, wcdma only, factory reset, removing sd memery non of the seems to fix the problem.
I am using Android 5.02.
What do you suggest?
I have the same problem too, is it due to battery problem?
I found the information in the link below, it says it`s for the T800and T805, But it should work for the T700 and T705 just the same, be careful i take no responsibility for any damage you do.

random reboots and green line flickring
nothing going to work as its a hardware problem
replace the tab asap
and if u void ur warrenty than go to any good mobile repair shop
nd ask them to solder ur battery connector to the motherboard
this is the only nd 100% working solution
How can it be a hardware problem if it happens only after software update?
Im currently having this problem as well. It happened to me before and after the lollipop update. I thought it was the battery so i went to buy and install a new battery.
The flickering lines and mobile connections resets have stopped but now it just randomly shuts down and cannot be turned back on unless being connected to a pkwer supply like a wall charger or a power bank. I have not yet found a solution to this problem.

Could you provide more details about this solution? Like pictures of the connections or just descriptions will do. My device has been knox-tripped and i think claiming warranty wouldnt do anything. I didnt expect samsung to make such a faulty device which has crappy connections which fail within a year.

I opened the back cover and disconnected and reconnected the battery connector, seemed to solved the problem for a day or less but then again it came back. Not to mention i broke part of the connector while disconnecting it and now the connector does not connect to the motherboard easily, unless I press it hardly. I fixed the problem by putting a thick peice of paper between back cover and connector.
But our main problem is still there. So you say we can solve it by soldering the connector to motherboard?
It seems to be common for Samsung Tablets for the display connector to become loose and even come unplugged due to an drop or bending of the case while no damage to the outside is evident.
I suppose the power connector could come loose as well, there are a number of video`s on Youtube of the connector being off, when the case is opened.
John.
Below shows how to replace the battery on the T705 , Video`s for other version as available.
I can find the battery for my T800 on Ebay for £9 and the pry tool for £1 , or you can pay $60 to newpower99 for the whole kit.

[Q] Another "Phone says charging when not plugged in" issue. But what to do about it.
So its the same issue as others have. My phone charges sometimes and can get a connection to the pc but sometimes it gets stuck in "Charging" even when unplugged (Only if it was actually charging completly wireless. )
The phone is in perfect condition and it really sucks to have an issue like this.
I contacted samsung. They told me they would repair it but that means id be phoneless for 6 days. (The horror) . They also said I go head over to verizon and they could 'Fix the pins' in store. I dont like verizon and I worry they might freak out if they see if have Jellybean.
I also have the option of trying to repair myself. I could open up the phone and possible fix the pins or Order the replacement USB Board (http://www.ebay.com/sch/Replacement-Parts-Tools-/43304/i.html?_nkw=galaxy+nexus+usb) ... Im capable of doing all that as Ive repaired several phones before just not my precious galaxy nexus. And I worry is all.
What should I do?
There was once one thread how to fix the problem by cleaning the charger hole or what the heck it is with piece of paper or I don't know..

The same thing every other thread has said:
1. Clean the port and/or ensure the pins aren't incorrectly positioned inside of the USB port and aren't damaged.
2. Make sure you've tested using a fresh, clean install of the stock ROM.
3. If that doesn't work, get a warranty/insurance replacement
4. If you cannot do suggestion #3, replace the USB board in the phone.
Hello,
My phone suddenly stopped charging yesterday night. There is no physical or water damage to the handset. USB on the computer wont detect it and it wont even charge. I have tried changing roms too but it wont get detected. I bought the device from newegg and i have a warranty for replacement till jan 31st but now since usb is not being detected i cannot flash stock rom via odin. I tried googling for methods to flash stock rom without using usb cable but there is nothing that i can find. Please can anyone help me on this ?
Thank you
You might have tried but just to be sure.have you tried using a different usb cable?

Yes I tried with 3 different USB cables. It just started charging but the red led is sometime dark red and sometimes kinda weak. It seems to me like the port has shorted. There was a crazy snow storm here yesterday and so it water vapor might be shorting the port. I just wanna get back to stock rom.
Please help someone help me.. I've even tried discharging the capacitors by removing the battery and pressing the power button for a min or two.
Thank you
What about mobile odin? It shoukd allow you to install the stock rom through your sd card.

I have the rom ALJ3 on my sd card and when i go to odin by pressing the volume down+home+ power i cant see the rom there. It just says downloading. O dont know if i am doing something wrong here
Solved
Since I suspected it to be water vapor I heated my phone over the gas stove(held it in my hand leaving some distance between the stove and the phone) once it became hot the water vapor must have evaporated and my phone started charging and got connected to the computer as well.
Guess the snow storm was the culprit. I reverted back to stock rom successfully as well.
Thank you every one for your inputs.
Im glad it worked out for you. I know this wouldnt be fair thing to do but if you get the chance id suggest you return or exchange it as im sure some damage is already done and it will probably reappear again in the near future. Good luck.

I definitely want to get it replaced but I do not think they will coz now there does not seem to be a problem with it. Il wait for a day or two,if the problem still persists then I will definitely get it replaced
Hi there?
Did the problem re-apear with you? cause i have the exact symptoms but without snow or something, i was just using it when suddenly the application frozen, so i put it on the charger and it wouldn't charge, tried on USB, nothing, tried to remove the battery, sim and memory card, still nothing, tried to press the power button while the battery is removed, nothing.
Any suggestions?
Is there a red faint led sensor on top when u try to power it on ?

Just encountered this problem two days ago and I am confused why this happened.
My N7100 wont charge and could not be detected in my desktop/laptop.
In my case, I charged my phone since it was below 20%.
When I plug it in, the symbol indicated it was charging.
An hour later, when I checked my phone, it wasn't charging at all.
Even the charging indicator was off, and the battery symbol has no "lightning".
I tried different chargers, wall outlet, even in the computer.
Still no luck.
I did a factory reset, thinking it was a ROM issue, still nothing.
Any help/suggestions/recommendations is highly welcome.
Did anybody solve this issue, It is happening to mine... No dropping, accidents or moisture...
i'm also having this issue. tried several different chargers, light says charging, in settings under battery it says charging but it's not. i'm just losing more power. tried charging with phone off and same thing. tried cleaning port, nothing. i don't know if the battery is just shot or i need the usb port replaced.
Literally just started for me right now, and I bought the phone off Swappa like a month ago...The USB flex is $20 and easy to replace, but I want to know if there's an actual fix. No soldering required.
EDIT: Just plugged it into my Samsung charger and it started work again randomly... Doesn't work with the dollar store cable I was using though. Could be that the cable went bad?
Same here for a week
It started a week ago when I tried a $5 dollar cable/charger from eBay. Now I tried a dozen cable all of them work with another phone. It was random not charging one day, charging the other day. But since yesterday, fails to work completely, and battery fully drained.
Yesterday evening I tried a charger/cable from a friend and it seemed to work, so i'll try again today and provide an update later.
U have encountered the issue before. Brought it to the service Centre for repair. When I got it back from the Centre, they told me that the sub motherboard was faulty. Hope this helps.

You're probably joking about being easy, it's very simple but not easy as shown on this video. And without appropriate tool, it's just heading for trouble.
Anyway I searched for the replacement part and the screw driver, it's about 60$, delivery in Europe included, couldn't find the part except in the US. The USB charger is $16, shipping $30, plus the screw driver 11€+5€ local.
However couldn't find the "whatever the name is of this blue flat stuff" to remove the display. Anyone knows how it's named?

It's a prying tool. They're cheap on eBay also. They're just plastic. You can use your fingernails if they're long enough.
Also I wasn't joking. It's a regular philips screwdriver (cross, but very small). It's the same one used to open the iPhone 4/4S (confirmed by me). After you take out the 6 or so screws from under the battery cover, you just run the prying tool through the gap along the display, and lift the midsection off. With the board exposed, unscrew the piece of plastic covering the USB flex and take it off. Then just pop off the flex cable and pop the new one in. Do everything backwards and there you go.
If you look for a kit to open the iPhone 4/4S, you'll get the screwdriver and plastic prying tool. I don't know where you're located but the part cost me $18 shipped. However for me it was a waste of time because the Note 2 I bought from eBay had its IMEI blacklisted, among other issues. So I returned it.

Thanks for the prying tool name, found a kit in the US for $12 including shipping and $2 in Hong-Kong
Searched again for the charger port, and found it in the EU for $15 and $8 in Hong-Kong
The procedure is very simple, but not easy, requires to be very gentle and patient (as the video shows), not sure I have both. Including my bad sight, it's going to be tough, but there won't be a local repair shop to top that pricing!
EDIT: They had to change the IMEI instead, couldn't they actually whitelist it?
Hi guys, whats happening on my tab? Today it shows from 100% to 1% in 11 min after charge, and it doesn't turn off though after reach 1% ATM. (screenshot attached)
I did an battery calibration by using apps from playstore, the result still same. What should i do?
Is my battery faulty or something wrong with my system? I doesn't root my device.
Any help or suggestion to fix this would be appreciate

So I see you haven't rooted your device and its still under warranty. To answer your question, the battery is mostly likely faulty with a loose connector. Its best to exchange it for another one since it seems to be a faulty battery. Hope this helps!
I also face this problem before. This is because the battery connector I mean the black that we connect the battery is loose with the motherboard. If you can claim a warranty then go claim a new one. If you can't go to warranty the only solution is send it to a shop that can do soldering. Tell them to solder the black battery connector holder to the board. Resolder it again. Before I also experience this and white flickering on the screen and battery percentage also not consistent. After I resolder it to the board again now I don't have the problem anymore and my battery last longer. The battery connector holder have loose connection with their motherboard.
P/s: I also thought I got defective battery but it turns out my battery is fine. The loose connection with the motherboard makes it like that.
thanks guys, at least i know where going wrong.
being using the tab for 5 months, suddenly it became like that scare me out.
p/s: if send to claim warranty, need a month or two to get it back?
I have used a method that worked for my previous Devices
To help you fix this problem, what you need to do is
Turn on Airplane Mode , turn all the features active in the Tablet, then Shut down the tablet, let it be shut for 1 hour.
After an hour, turn tablet back on, don't turn all the feature on yet. ONLY turn the Airplane mode off.
Wait for 30minute, and see if battery is starting to drop dramatically again. REASON, so you can know problem is hardware of heavy software usage.
After 30 minute, if battery's percentage not dropping significantly. Turn back on the tablet's features , ONLY those that you really need them.
That should fix it. It actually worked for me on all my previous devices, so with the tab S 8.4
Started doing that out of the blue after 5 months so I'd be willing to bet that the connector has came lose. Like that gentleman a few posts up had stated. Doesnt sound like a issue of app usage. Hope you get it taken care of brotha!

Since yesterday i experience just the exact problem as described above. Battery drops within an instant and it doesn't charge from time to time.
Unfortunately knox is tripped to 1 so I am not quite sure how to request it having repaired.
Would you flash back to stock before claiming a warranty fix? I mean knox is tripped either way - but if a custom rom boots up on the other hand it might be a little too obvious...?

hi friend.my tab s 8.4(t705) has a bad problem.my tab screen show white color on green.my tablet bag has magnet.yesterday i exit my tab from bag and see screen work correct.but next time it doesnt show color correct.pls help me.i flash 5.0.2 stock rom.but this problem is hardware problem, becouse this problem is on recovery and boot animation
It could be something as simple as an bad connection it happens all the time, any flexing of the tablet can cause connectors to become loose, or damage could have happened to the display they are very sensitive and drops and bangs can damage them.
If you are still in warranty get it repaired or replaced, or take it to an phone/tablet repair shop, or if you are handy it`s easy to take one apart, lots of guides on ebay.
John.
I OPEN back cover and reinsert all connectors.but i doesnt work
Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a while, though i doubt this will help as i think the display is damaged, you need to get your tablet looked at by a repair shop.

Hi
I have a problem with my G3. When i start it, it shows lg logo then few it reboots again without getting anywhere. But if i put the charger it does work flawlessly. If i take off the charger, few seconds and it reboots. Is it a battery issue? Software or hardware?
Thanks
Yes, its battery problem. I think its time for you to change the battery.

Yes, it is a battery a problem, so i bought a 2nd and a 3rd but the same problem happened with the 2nd in less than a month, the 3rd in 2 weeks.
I wasn't ready to buy a 4th one so i looked around and i found a solution and it's working for me so far without a problem.
the solution isn't mine so all credits goes to Marko Peltonen in Android Central forums.
He explained the problem here
And the solution with pictures here
Some remarks to take in consideration:
the wire should be thin (from a strand);
when you're manipulating the wire be careful not to let it touch the body of the battery (if you peeled the plastic off the battery) when it's connected to the + connector.
the soldering point on top of the control board should be as thin as possible so you can put back the plastic cover
hope you can solve this frustrating problem

It could be a software problem. don't go hardware at 1st. What's your configuration (ROM, kernel, Recovery)?

Everything stock. Flashed MM stock firmware a few days ago.
While it was flashing the lg flash tool crashed on my pc at %70 or so. Phone did a reboot automatically and booted up.
Then the phone started to shut down and restart automatically while it was in sleep mode.
Then i flashed stock mm again. This time it worked. But the phone keeps restarting. It does only restart while the screen is locked. If i double tap or use the power button to unlock the phone nothing happens and the screen keeps black and then the LG logo appears and phone boots up.
Tried different custom kernels, recoverys and rom. Issue is still there. Thats why im thinking its and hardware issue and battery is faulty.
Sorry for bad english
@sakarya making this step properly won't harm you G3 in any way, it'll enhance the power connection because the connection is made by glue and with high temperature it becomes faulty, so yes you can give it a try but before going that far if your not familiar with soldering i recommend you to download and flash a stock firmware from here then go to this page and download the proper firmware you need. since you have this problem when the screen is off, in my case it was random.
You'll find here a guide on how to flash a KBZ properly.
Good luck

Thank you. I will try this.. Bought yesterday a new battery, problem does still exist. Must be a software issue.
Paper trick wont work for everyone. Solder or use a bit of foil and paper for pressure.. I prefer to use a bit of tape as it is a cleaner solution. Batter life seems to fall a bit, just a tad after this mod tho but no reboots fixed 3 out of 3 batteries like this.
The chinese batteries run down quicky.
The anker batteries that also have the reboot issue can be fixed by using the board from the chinese on it fix 1 out of 1 anker this way
