[Q] Wifi settings not shown? - Moto 360

so I just got the 5.1.1 update and the wifi setting are nowhere to be found. where can I find them?

It should be under Settings (Settings / WiFi Settings). You need your phone to input password if your AP is secured.

[Q] WiFi problem - doesn't autodetect network encryption

Hi, guys !
I have a problem with my HTC Touch Pro2 when connecting to wireless networks.
When I select the wireless network in Connection Manager it asks me for the password, I click NEXT then it says that the password is wrong.
I found that if I connect to the network by going to Advanced - Change Network and manually select the encryption of the network the phone connects ok !
I think is a problem with the phone not auto-detecting the encryption because on the second page of "Change Network" the default settings in the drop-down boxes are "Open" and "WEP".
Any ideas ?
so why not manually change the encryption settings
Because, by default, it automatically detects the wireless encryption method.
And, for example, if I am in a pub and the wifi is encrypted, I can ask for the password but (for sure) they will not know the encryption method !
Anyway, I found the solution !
In HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WZCSVC\Parameters there was a DWORD key DisableWPA with the value 1.
I set it to 0 (zero) and now it's back as it was !

BTW you should post in Galaxy Note 2 Q&A forum ( use xda device search engine to locate it)
A modem change might give you results only after you have checked your APN ,
Quick Guide
First Check your settings > about phone > status > your phone number ( IF UNKNOWN )
You won't be able to send SMS by any third party sms apps or Have a Network connection
Solution :-
You need to edit that "unknown" number to your phone number, by putting your SIM card on any old phone that has a "my number/owner number" option, (most old phones do). Edit and save it to the proper phone format as your Sim Card number (Example: +63913XXXXXXX). Now put the SIM back to M110S, to solve this problem.
Than check your system settings, in Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.(APN) as provided by your Network provider . If your Apn is not set, you wont be able to have data connection, so set it first
If still no data connection, Common Trick is to toggle WIFI and Airplane mode or
1. Turn ON WIFI
2. Set the phone to Flight Mode
3. Power down the phone for a few Minutes
4. Power it back up
5. Turn OFF flight mode
6. Turn OFF WIFI
Should get Data back

APN
Try creating a new APN -> Thethering & Networks -> Mobile Networks -> Access point names -> New APN enter a name, same APN and Port Number as your current settings and save( Don't add anything else). and select it as your access point.
eg- name - newapn
APN - ppwap
Port -8080

Disable EAP-SIM auto connection

Hi everyone,
I am stuck on a problem for some time now and still haven't figure out how to resolve it.
I would like to prevent my phone to automatically connect to a EAP-SIM Wifi network. I have enough data and there is a good network where I live. When I walk it switches to the wifi network near me and this is actually worse than the data network.
When I try to look the internet for this, all I found is people trying to enable this feature but nothing on how to unable it (or prevent it to connect to this specific network [FreeWifi_secure, a French mobile network provider]).
What I tried :
Remove ("Forget') the network => It reappear and reconnect every time
Disable my wifi when I'm outside => work, but then, I forgot to activate it back once home. Not the solution I'm looking for
Modify wpa_supplicant.conf (/data/misc/wifi/) and add "disable=1" to the network => the file is always rewritten by the system
Modify wpa_supplicant.conf (/data/misc/wifi/) with update_config=0 => Does not work, the file is always rewritten by the system
Modify wpa_supplicant.conf (/data/misc/wifi/) by commenting "#update_config=1" => Does not work, the file is always rewritten by the system
Change owner of wpa_supplicant.conf (/data/misc/wifi/) from "wifi.wifi" to "system.wifi" => Switched back to "wifi.wifi"
Remove the network from the wpa_supplicant.conf file => Comes back and connect to the wifi
My phone is a rooted Honor 5X (KIW-L21) with the stock rom (build KIW-L21C432B350). It is an Android 6.0.1.
Thank you for your help !

how to specify different APN?

I just installed the latest pie lineageos ROM on my Samsung Galaxy S5 (Sprint version). I am unable to choose or add an APN through the settings app.
I can see (surprisingly) that the Tello APN (which is what I need to use) is in /etc/apns-conf.xml.
Is there some way to enable APN selection in the phone's UI? Or, is there some way to manually edit config files on the phone to specify my desired APN?
Thanks.

No menu option to get to APNs. The closest thing is "Carrier settings", and when I select that, some error occurs, because I get kicked back out to the main settings menu.
