Hello ,
Zenfone bought two model ASUS_Z00ADA imported from China to Brazil where I live.
The setting was OK , everything works , but I'm not GOOGLE in the system , nothing !!
Technical assistance may not help because device not manufactured in Brazil.
Follow the tutorial below, I downloaded all the files, but I have doubts to use ADB
Can anyone help me ?
MODEL: ZE551ML
4GB RAM / INTEL 2.3 GHZ
ASUS_Z00ADA
FIRMWARE : MR7-LRX21V.CN-ASUS_Z00A - 2.18.40.12_20150529_9543_user044030427_20150106010 90030000500001
Before you do anything make sure that you have Asus USB Driver installed. To check if they are installed or not, open Device Manager and check if "Asus Android Device" is listed there. If yes, expand it and check if "ASUS Android Composite ADB Interface" is listed there.
If no, you need to install them.
Download it and unzip. Navigate inside the folders (\ASUS_Android_USB_drivers_for_Windows_20150212\Windows_XP_VISTA_7_8_8.1\Android) until you see "android_winusb". Right Click on it and select "Install". [Note: You need to be an administrator to install drivers]
Check the Device Manager again. Now both of the entires will be listed.
Now you should simply follow the instructions in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/help/how-to-upgrade-cn-version-to-ww-t3101556

Hi to All,
i've got problem with installation of GPS hotfix which is available on the HTC website. On the Polish version of the website it's stated that the file must be copied to the device and then installed from the device. On English website it says to run the file on the PC when device is conected with AcitveSync.
When i run the file form the device is says that "this is not the correct aplication of Pocet PC". When I run from PC is says that "it not the correct application of windows32" or something like that.
Any ideas what should I do?
Thank you for your help in advance!
Max
just download it from european site, I've got it from there and no problems installing it via PC.
OK I've finally managed to open installation procedure but one more question - is this update will really erase all my data in device(there is such a warning before starting installation procedure)???
Max
its just a gps hotfix, not a rom upgrade, so you will not lose any data or settings
OK, my phone is not bricked, but I certainly am…
Trying to reset phone from Chinese to International using posted guide
GT-I9100G
Android 4.0.4
Baseband version I9100GZCLPJ
Kernel version: 3.0.8-1067026
Build number: IMM76D.ZCLPJ
Following the instructions kindly provided by Harchoaoui,
I downloaded the Espresso International i9100g folder and unzipped on my pc.
I then booted my phone to reset (volume up; home button; power button), and wiped “data/factory reset” and “cache partition” (these were the only options available). Removed the battery and connected i9100g with USB cable – Nothing happened!
Tried disconnecting/reconnecting i9100g multiple times – Still Nothing happened!
I repeated this process, following the Guide instructions, several times with the same sad results.
What am I doing wrong?????????????????
I am also seeking clarification of the following:
Assuming that Harchaoui, et al, can set me straight here, I’m still not clear how to manually load Drivers from my PC to the i9100g. More Help needed…
The usb_drv_windows I downloaded contains two sub-folders (amd64 and i386 both containing two drivers [WdfCoInstaller01009.dll and winsubcoinstaller2.dll]. More confusion for this Brick.
…and lastly (I hope): How do I run the omap4430hs_espresso_Inter i9100g.bat file on the phone.
I fully recognize that these are the questions of a complete Brick, but I truly need your help – I’m stuck with a Chinese i9100G that I can’t properly utilize.
PLEASE NOTE: I am posting here because I was not able to post on Q & A Forum

MTK 6582
Hello all,
I am referring to my reply here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2455850&page=132) but since I got no answer for some time I decided to open a new thread.
I was trying to replace the EBR files since yesterday on my Allview Viva H10HD (MTK 6582) tablet without success.
What I did:
1. Installed MTK Droid Root & Tools 2.5.3.
2.Pressing root rooted successfully the device
3.Pressing Backup then lead to state where the process doesn't go further and stops at "preloader_and_dsp" (pic2) for hours...2
4.Only choosing Turn on USB storage lead the task finish with error - "Zero file, no space left on device" (pic1) 1
Without having a backup I will not be able to use the firmware for EBR 1 &2 files change.
In Device Manager I installed the Mediatek Preloader VCOM driver but no change (pic5)5
As a device, my tablet is found as YunOS ACB devide (pic4)4
Windows 10 was started with disabled driver signature.
Can anyone advice what the issue could be caused from ? My internal storage is just too low (700mb after factory reset out of 5.96gb total)

MTKDroid tools does not work for 820ts.
Why do you want to restore? Did you format your phone with SP Flash Tool?

yes i did , with option (format all + Downoad) because my 2nd SIM didn't work after I flashed lollipop ROM ,it shows "Slot2: no SIM detected" when the phone boot or when I insert the SIM .
So I thought it maybe solve it but it seems that it became more complicated .
is there any way I can restore my IMEI first then we may talk about the 2nd SIM ?.

Send a screenshot of the MTK drivers you have installed
I attached a screen shot for the driver you told me to install (Gadget CDC VCOM) .
and I deleted the driver which i used with SP flash tool (MediaTek USB VCOM ) to avoid any mistake .
note : when I connect the phone to write the IMEI, it instantly starts up and boot in download mode and anew device
shows in device manager named HTC like you see and the attached image .

Actually both drivers are needed.
Use these drivers https://mega.nz/#!MoMEWRqA!57djmSN3BOimherVGBH3RxrmitdE0XJMwEcny_5wmwc
Install these drivers:
MediaTek DA USB VCOM Port
MediaTek preloader USB VCOM Port
MediaTek USB Port
and its working again .. after I installed all the drivers you gave me .
I'm very thankful .
can you suggest for me the reason why I suddenly cant use the 2nd SIM after I flashed lollipop
for the first time ?? it shows notification when phone start up "Slot 2 : No SIM card detected Please check if the SIM card is ready" is it related to flashing the new ROM OR it's hardware issue ,knowing that when I pull the SIM and reinsert it ,the notification appears again .
Note : I flashed many ROMs including the stock with variety options (format all + download ..)
and not worked .
again ,thank you very much .

First, Just to confirm were you able to write back the IMEI numbers?
And does Slot 2 work on the Kitkat firmware?
-Yes i was able to write back the IMEI numbers by folowing the steps you mentioned and installing all the drivers you mentioned an all previous comments .
-Actually No, slot 2 doesn't work with any ROM . Is there any software-related action i can do before starting hardware check for the slot 2?
-filnally after I did (format all + download) a few days ago ,
An error stars appearing between Wifi networks says"NVRAM warning : Err = 0x10" as a network !! As you see in attached screen shot .
My Apology for annoying but HTC is hard to work with .
I think that is likely a hardware issue. Did it start after you formatted the phone with SP Flash Tool?
There is a thread on how to fix the NVRAM WIFI error here http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-820/help/desire-820s-how-to-root-invalid-t3281455

Yes it was started after I used SP flash tool for the first time to flash lollipop rom ([STOCK LOLLIPOP 5.0.2] RUUs, OTAs AND GUIDE [DESIRE 820s] MT6752 (WWE vision)) .
for the first 30 seconds of first lollipop boot, I was able to see the second SIM and then it disappeared till now .
It has taken me many days to find a tool to flash KDZ AND TOT since many people show an error at 4% of FlashTool and there is no solution so this is your Post.

sorry you had problems
the error is one of the drivers lg
you should plug it into one of the main USB ports on your PC.
or rather entering device manager and re-assign drivers to ports.
Have you downloaded the lgup for lg g3 and g2?
Drivers are installed, USB debugging is enabled, LG PC Suite OK.not sure what else there is missing.
Download : lgup-g2-g3.zip
Solve it FIX
good after I found the problem LGUP
roms apparently change the model of the device as it changes cm11 to build Cyanogenmod 11 xx
AOSP - to AOSP rom 2 etc.
the solution would be to install a stock rom clean no matter if v10 v30 etc. The important thing is not having changed the model number and manufacturer.
I hope I have helped and sorry
that includes cloudy fa's roms

Hi !
How do I do all the above ?
My PC recognize the phone without problem, but LGUp won't start unless I "select a known model"... (LGUp window shows : Model = Unknown ; COM Ports = [COM5, CloudyG3] )
Problem is that my phone is softbricked after installing a new ROM, and I can only enter download mode (not even recovery). I just want to downgrade it and reflash a LG's stock ROM (or whatever ROM that would make my phone actually work !!! )
Can you help me do that ?

LGUP "UNKNOWN" and FlashTool failure with LG G3 (and possibly others)
When I downloaded and installed LGUP with the DLL installer stated to be for the LG G3, the program did not recognise the phone, reporting it as "UNKNOWN". The LG FlashTool also failed, reporting the IMEI and PID as NULL. After spending a lot of time on this, I twigged that the DLL file in the LGUP model directory was for the 8994 processor; but the G3 has an 8974, quite different and incompatible. I located the DLL installer MSI file for 9874 devices, uninstalled LGUP and the DLLs from Windows add/remove programs, ran the 9874 DLL installer and reinstalled the LGUP program, and everything worked.
The file is, amongst other places, on https://uptoandroid.com/download-lg-up-tool-for-lg-smartphone-latest/. Do not download DLL files for LG G4, LG V10, LG G3, LG Stylo, filename LGUP_Common_DLL_Ver_1_0_28_5 .msi, but instead For LG phones based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 SoC, filename LGUP_8974_DLL_Ver_0_5.msi:.
