Does anyone know about confirmed sellers that are selling European model of LG G4 on eBay (shipped from USA)? I've contacted a few and it seems like almost everyone is selling the Asian version (H815T).
Never-MSRP told me the same thing so I think that they do have Euro version. The only issue is that they I'm in Houston as well so they charge tax so that's why I haven't bought from them.

Anybody ever make any progress on finding a good source for the EUR models?
Only those can be BL unlocked (ATM anyway) right?

Fast, cheap and painless.
There are tons of threads about this exact topic going back to release day, all point to this site.
I and many others purchased from - http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/tfawes26?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2754
Even the black leather one he sells (which is incorrectly listed as a H815T in the specification section) is in-fact the EU H815 model.
The seller is a little slow at posting and quite poor at replying to messages but he is completely legit.

Thanks, doesn't look like he actually has any available for sale at the moment though?
Man I wish LG wasn't such a B about the bootloader situation. Why can't all the 815's be open... Arrgggggg

I also bought one from this company and it was indeed fast cheap and painless, received the phone the very next day. It was an H815 unlocked and I have the unlock.bin, which I received from LGE with no problems, file saved for future use. The phone is now updated with the 10c kdz file and rooted by the method described in another thread in this forum, which was also easy to follow and painless.
I have an CZE H815 but today just freezes, I turned off and never turned on again, I never had falls the phone to the floor, just take care the phone like jewel and now never turns on again, the phone has in warranty yet but only in Czech Republic, don't know if someone want a cheap phone to use in warranty due LG doesn't offer international warranty.

Hello everyone!
I've done some reading on the forums (so I hope I haven't missed a similar topic)
and I have a few questions to ask. Being the proud UK owner of a G2, the best phone I've ever used hands down, I am definitely ready to move onto the G3 !
I am seriously thinking of buying the Korean version - 32 Gig, 3 G of RAM sound more futureproof than 16 Gig, 2 for the same price nevertheless. However, I have a few questions for anyone who either has knowledge or has owned a Korean product before.
1) LTE bands and frequence. According to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vodafone_UK#Radio_frequency_summary Vodafone, my provider, uses both band 20 and 7 for LTE. Now there are three LG variants, the L, S and K. According to this: http://optimusforums.com/threads/ko...ide-lte-band-differences-pros-and-cons.13134/ , it's just the L that has one of the two LTE bands used by Vodafone (And seemingly by most UK providers). Am I reading this wrong, or is it that the other two models would not support LTE?
2) Warranty - I guess this goes out to those who have actually owned one In the (un)likely event something goes wrong, what's the process of dealing with it - shipping it back and forth to Korea? I assume LG doesn't support Korean products locally.
3) Modding/Roming. Once more based on : http://optimusforums.com/threads/ko...ide-lte-band-differences-pros-and-cons.13134/, most mods that come out come out for the international models. Is this a reality? I've never been following models/variants much, but is it quite possible that buying from a Korean market may result in me never getting access to the good mods out there?
Thanks for reading, for answering (and for possibly trolling me ), and hope my questions make some sense.
After much Dilemma myself, I was in the same position as you are now in, I couldn't find any info on which model to go for, the F400K or the F400S variant, I spoken to my carrier and they gave me the gsm frequencies (I am in ireland) and then spoken/live chat with the supplier of the LG G3 from Ebay and they also directed me in the right way. I received my Brand New LG G3 F400K yesterday from Korea, and it work brilliantly. From my knowledge here in Ireland we run on the same basebands as you in the UK.
Perhaps the supplier of the phone can also direct you in the right direction, I initially ordered the F400S, but after discussing it with the supplier it became apparent that the F400K was the one for me.
Hope that helps you. I have brilliant 3G coverage here (4G not over here in my location yet) so I cant guide you on this.
Thanks
There is a good youtube video guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mj_KUqkH4oQ on Korea models too if your importing. Shows whats in the box and talks about the pros and cons.

I wouild definitely upgrade from the S3 to the LG G3, I have had the Samsung S2, S3, S4, HTC One (M7), LG G2 and now the LG G3 and by far its the best phone I have ever owned, admittidely I have only had it a few days, but you can completely see the difference between them, I used to love Samsung, but ever since I had the LG G2 I am now a True LG Fan, Samsung have gone in the way of putting too many gimmicks into their phones, and also releasing different cariants of their flagship, ie, S5, and now S5 prime...etc. Definitely worth the purchase for the LG G3. Well worth the money. Battery life is great, Camera is Awesome, its quick and responsive with the 3GB Ram. The Brightness/Contrast is by far the best I have seen on any phone, The Display is awesome, QHD at its best. I love my G3
Hey guys I have the UK version of G3 its 855 version
I flashed the 10a Europe firmware and in the settings it showed v10a-HKG-XX
Then I redownloaded the europe firmware and it still showed the same
Then I used my IMEI to check which version is for my device and downloaded that and it still says HKG - at the moment it says v10h-HKG-XX
So is this not a UK version phone, i got it from amazon?

If less than 14 days I recommend you contact Amazon customer services and request a replacement. Even if bought from Amazon market place. You may find as I did with a Singapore version I received, that I could not get LTE connectivity. The firmware is tied the IMEI.

Hey Syphern, Sounds like the same one i had. Was it from SkynetShopping [emoji12] saying it was uk version and stock held and sent by Amazon? I had one the other day. Set it up and let it do it's updates then checked the version and it said hkg not eur versions, I also had no 4g.
I called LG support which where very helpful and i told them the imei to which they confirmed it was a none UK handset and would have no warranty cover!
Sent it straight back for refund and went in to Carphone warehouse and got one which is all good. [emoji3]

I'm thinking of getting the LG G4 Sim Free and want to know where is best to buy in the UK? I want either the black leather preferably or black plastic (not interested in any other options). Amazon doesn't seem to have the black leather and for some reason the black plastic is much more expensive there than the gold. I have seen a website called Handtec that is advertising the black leather at a reasonable price, but I have no previous experience with them. Can anyone recommend them or anywhere else for that matter?
Thanks in advance!
Rumoured that O2 will offer the G4 for approx. £480 on PAYG upon release .
Handtec are a very reliable reseller of Sim Free phones. I have pre-ordered the Red Leather through them.
Hey
I found 2 places selling it unlocked in the UK for around GBP 500
Clove http://www.clove.co.uk/lg-g4
Unlocked Mobiles http://www.unlocked-mobiles.com/sim....html?osCsid=7e0fe5e2647bd589178fc0e3706774cf
I was keeping these as a last resort in case I couldn't find anything in my country.

Thanks, but I'd rather not have one from a network as they will probably put more bloatware on it (I'm not even with O2), plus updates usually come slower through he networks.

Thanks - they do seem to have good reviews. Just a bit worried as I emailed them to see how early they would have stock and they said either the end of May or early June - I need it asap as currently without a phone, so will have to check their stock status daily.

Thanks - Clove don't seem to have great reviews and aren't doing the black leather. Unlocked-mobiles are my alternative to Handtec but again they wouldn't commit to when they could send the phone out.
Guess I'll have to keep checking Handtec and Unlocked-mobiles and see which gets stock first!

Collected my G4 from an O2 shop this afternoon. Does not appear to be SIM locked according to the "SIM Unlock Process" app and I took a screen shot of the software version and the extent of the home screen branding if anyone was interested.

Unfortunately I don't currently have another activated suitably sized SIM to confirm with.
Got one from three retail store for £480 today, they have a big statement on their website saying they don't lock them any more, and people with older handsets can take them in for unlocking.
Anyone got the updated cheapest local price for the LG G4?
I saw some online for £277 via google shopping but from the UK reviews it seems that they're being shipped from overseas.

Hi guys,
Wanted to ask if it is possible to swap the model of the motherboard on LG G4.
I have a broken H815 (bootloop) but the housing and display are OK.
I want to get a mother board from Korean Model F500L S K. Are they the same dimensions and does korean mainboard fit on my housing and connect to camera display etc?
And are the korean models affected by the boot loop since I'm no seeing any of them on the internet.
Yes, the motherboards have the same dimensions. It will work
Korean version probably not as popular
Get h815 again
Korean version has similar mobo as the H815, but as mentioned above, its not that that's why you dont see them bootlooped. Only advantage of the F500 is the new 7.0 FW.
Bootloop is a known problem of the LG G4.
The cause is a loose contact on the PCB.
LG offers a free repair.
Owners of a LG G4 affected by the bootloop are requested by the company to contact their mobile operator to initiate the repair process.
Customers who have purchased the G4 in free trade are kindly requested to contact LG support directly.
The repair takes place within the framework of the guarantee conditions and is therefore not associated with costs for the owner.
In addition, the company apologizes for the inconvenience that the previous solutions have brought to customers.
Previous misdiagnosis resulted in the replacement of wrong parts of the smartphone.

Nah, I'm not interested on the os version.
I just was wondering if F500's have less bootloop issues.

Well Thank YOU very much for the answer, I'm very aware why the bootloop problem was occurring and know the whole history of the problem.
But I live in Kosovo and we don't have an official lg retail store.
I contacted LG Serbia and explained them my situation. But they were willing to help just the cases when phones where bought in Serbia, so nothing for me :crying:
Since you provided some information about "free trade" phones. Is there still a chance for me to get a fix for my phone. Since when it bootlooped it was only 8 months old. So well under the "1 year warranty policy".
Thank You Very much again.
The F500 which is the Korean version I think has LTE bands/frequencies missing or disabled which makes it a no go for use in western europe at least. It might be okay on some networks depending on what frequencies your network provider uses but in general I'm sure the F500 is the most limited version when it comes to working frequencies so it would be much better to get H815 or H811. The F500 mobo is exactly the same shape as other models btw.

Your welcome. My first G4 was a F500 and I found that 2g didn't work in bad signal areas so I couldn't even make a phone call. Also 4G+ didn't work either. It was possible to put H815 firmware on it but that did NOT enable the missing frequencies so I had to buy a new one.

Yeah a phone with no 2G and 4G is probably useless.
But now I wonder if H811 European models, suffer less from bootloop, because if I decide to buy a new mother board the last thing I want to happen is my phone dying again.
I talked to a mobile phone shop owner here and he told me that they just returned many G4 since they still bootlooping (after only 1 month of use). And they won't sell them anymore.

I bought a refurbished G4 for 170 euro. It has a s/n of 701, in other works very recently manufactured....I have it working fine for 5 months now with no issues at all. So I would only buy one with serial 609 upwards. It's not know for certain which one is okay but the more recent the better. It does not matter at all whether is F500/H815/H811/etc where bootloop issue is concerned.

Yesterday I found a G4 H811 in a mobile shop here. But it was S/N 401 so a big NO NO for that
I will be thinking of buying a brand new mother board from china and replace it myself and it is half the price of a new phone.

I asked the China supplier what was the serial number and he woulnt tell me. Thls means that althought the board is new and unused it may still be an old one with bootloop issue down the line.
The best thing to do is make sure s/n is 701 up. You can ask eBay seller what is s/n by email before buying if buying used one. They will be happy to tell you. That what I did and enjoying fone since!

Hi everyone,
The screen on my H815P broke. On eBay replacement screens are listed as being for the H815. Will these work? A shop in Luxembourg refused to repair my phone because of the extra "P" in my model number, which I understand means its a model sold in Latam and South Africa (strange because I bought the phone on Amazon.de).
Also, is there a way of knowing if the screen I buy really is a genuine LG screen?
Any help is really appreciated.
I think the main difference is the modem. I'm 99.99% sure that all G4 editions have the same (awesome battery hungry) screen. Also, the only way you can be certain you bought a genuine LG screen is by buying the screen from LG.
Hi. The main difference is the motherboard. H815 (no letter) can be bootloader unlocked and H815P doens´t. The rest is all the same. In case of the screen. I was replace the board from my H815P to H815 (same screen and battery) and works normally and fine.
In order to know if the screen is or not genuine, depends from shoper and rating by customers and other -buy&sell pages- matters.
If you purchase a screen, replace it without warry becausae it will work.

Cheers. I've gone through to the LG spare parts website, which belongs to an outside company and it requires the model number for the screen. How the heck am I supposed to know that?
Anyone know a link to a genuine screen that delivers in Europe? I've been checking out youtube videos and I might attempt this repair myself.

Thanks. If you know of a European supplier, please advise. I tried contacting a supposedly official LG parts supplier out of Portugal that was recommended on one of the threads here on xda but they haven't responded.
