Notification reminders with 5.1 - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Since the 5.1 update whenever I have a notification it will constantly do the notification beep every minute until I clear the notification. It seems to be happening on all notifications. Has anyone else noticed this? I can't seem to figure out how to turn it off. It's annoying as do not disturb doesn't seem to work.

I have the issue with texts and cannot figure out how to stop it. It'll notify me again only a few seconds after I don't check the message and then keep notifying me every minute or so.

select the Settings by dragging the edge menu on the home screen and go to its settings. Once in the settings, disable vibration

Check in your accessibility settings, I think that option is in there.

Cannot figure out why its been on all the time. I run my nexus an airplane mode most of the time if that's the cause.

Its like that by default. You can make it turn off when the screen is off in the WiFi advanced settings if you want. Not sure why you'd want it to turn off though, as you won't receive any notifications because you won't be connected...

Interesting.. I've seen it not have wifi on at times during sleep, seemed to get slightly better battery.

[Q] Security, Access Lock, I want it off!

I keep getting annoying notifications on my statusbar every time i install an app, it asks me to set "access permissions", for example, "ABC" app can use "wifi" "location", and cannot use "bluetooth" etc. It is kinda convenient in a way, but getting really annoying lately when it comes to wifi, it keeps giving me the "wifi on?" trigger message……WTH!!! I don't even know which app is trying to switch on the wifi, how can i make decisions what to do……is there a way to turn "access lock" off? I have LBE helping me to manage these issues.
If anyone know, plz give me some advice over this issue, really appreciated!
Thank you!

Moving slider to Priority still allows notifications to show

Notifications annoy me when I'm gaming, so I thought I'd try the Alert slider feature to set it to Priority notifications only. But it's still allowing notifications through:

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Above example is when I send a Pushbullet text push to my phone. Pushbullet does not have Treat as Priority enabled in App Notifications, yet it shows up.
What am I missing here?
Hmmm not sure why you're getting the notification even though Pushbullet isn't Priority.
I've just turned Peeking off for everything as I find it very annoying.
From what I know it only disables the notification sound, not the notification itself, that's what the modes do

How to remove some app icons from status bar?

I know I can disable them completely, but I'd like to have icons show up when notification appears.

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
As can be seen on above picture- there are 4 icons. I can disable them in settings, but then won't show when I receive notification (chrome downloading file, sms, etc.). Anything that could be done about this?
You can't just pull down from the top to clear them out? They would then come back the next time a notification event occurs.

Those are persistent notifications, I don't want to clear them, just get rid of their icons.

Question: Anyone know how to remove this type of notifications?

what notification are you referring to? if you mean the notification of speed network you as need to go settings/display/status bar & dotch/show network speed
Thanks for replying. I was referring to the "selected" and "call forwarded" messages. They would hang out there for a very long period of time. Frozen. I reset my phone and they come and go quickly now. Do you know the name of the notification type that they are?
I don't know the name maybe warnings, alerts, I don't know but they are from the phone app, maybe if stop the app and clear cache and data.
When I have the voicemail notification I do that and function
