So g pro finally will get update
AT&T model is e980 though. IDK either way I'm not holding my breath... might pass out before anything happens. I do hope we get a update though. The value pack update was cool but lame at the same time. I think we would have rather had the 4.2.2 update with value pack included or even better 4.3!
True but I would hate to go back to stock to take 4.2 but would. Is it better to be able to root the real Rom or have a modified Rom that can be changed? I like both options especially having the real one to fall back on.

Talk about LG's 4.2.2 changes it, now I know the following:
1, seemingly smooth some personal feeling
2, the boot animation is a "leading 3G life" (which is customized mobile Well, inevitable)
3, the lock screen can slide around the page, you can also add widgets (Google 4.2 features)
4, dialers landscaping, pretty
5, QSlide support dialers, that is dialing can be reduced
6, built a lot of customized mobile software (currently can unload without ROOT)
7, Q removed the air conditioning remote support, and support for many domestic brands
8, according to three virtual machine when there is no vibration of the (do not know the underlying been destroyed, nor can the underlying 4.1 4.2 system inside)
9, adding an interactive screen saver function, we can look at the last screenshot
10, to display the "Developer Options", then, you need version 2.5 on, this is also a feature of Google 4.2
11, the addition of a "Wireless store" function, and 4.1 wireless sharing similar.
12, press the volume appears after a Settings button, you can set various volume, three seconds without operation automatically disappear

It says 'Theoretically, it suits for E985/E986/E988'.

Well depends On my E980 When flashing say the E988,E986. I only get 12GB of internal storage instead of 23GB, and it erases your EFS partion and you have to load the baseband and restore EFS. And if you loose your EFS your screwed.
Any news on the possible OTA yet?

Can someone explain how this will work? are the games rendered at 2560*1440 or is it 1920*1080 scaled? or is it up to the game developers how this works?
I like the LG G3 but I'm a little concerned about the extreme resolution and how it will effect gaming performance, I'm probably worrying about nothing and Android has a way of handling this but I want to be sure.

The games with 1080P Resolutions will run on 1080P resolution itself. Its like watching a 720P movie on a 1080P display. Unless they come up with the new Quad HD [xxxhdpi] trend.

Until everything catches up. The only real qhd stuff will be the wallpapers and lg specific apps.

Okay, so it sounds like games are upscaled somehow or the internal target resolution still remains 1080p?
How about emulators like N64 or PS, if they have no option to set resolution will they be forced to use 2560*1440 when going fullscreen?

Thanks for clarifying, everyday I either love the phone or I end up disliking it.. But really thanks for clearing that up, now all I need to know is if we are going to be able to install cm 11 or any aosp Roms. If you know let me know (t mobile USA)

Just give the devs some time and Im sure they will bypass the bootloader in one way or another. The phone hasnt hit the global market yet.

as long as t-mo doesn't pull the stunt they did with g2 then you would be able to root g3 on t-mo
So on the g2 t-mo released there variant on 10c we had easy root access and it was easily exploitable for loki usage; fast forward about 8 months to the killer kitkat update for the g2 it took the devs exactly 6 days to figure out a workaround to use loki but 13 days total because we needed the source from lg(they slowed us down), fast forward to late April early May the ls980 finally got kitkat and autoprime(awesome dev) figured out a way to root using the stock recovery and shared it with the community and suddeny there were a lot of reports that the d801 t-mo variant was not being rooted, that there devices were being wiped and it turns out that for some reason t-mo removed access to the stock recovery, it was still there but it was only there for the factory reset option and so root was not and still is not possible on the t-mo g2 all the t-mo users need to downgrade to 4.2 root and either update to kk and hope root survives for those without supersu pro that had survival mode or downgrade to 4.2 root/custom recovery and then install a flashable 4.4 rom for there variants
so if you read my mini rant I suggest you wait until after the g3 is released on t-mo and we have more available information

Got the update this morning... Installing now.
Update complete! First thing I did was remove S Finder and Quick Connect from the notification pull down. Other than that, I have no idea what's changed hah!
I noticed under developer options there is a toggle to unlock the bootloader. Good job Sprint!

Yep. I noticed this yesterday when I was seeing what is new about 20g. FWIW, 20g is just a Stagefright fix. It will sure be curious to see how long it takes LG / TMO to get Marshmallow out for our G3s. I bet its well into 2016!!!

According to the OP's link: Out of 3 stages, the G3 is in stage 1 Manufacturer Development. If this is still true, don't expect a D851 stock Marshmallow upgrade any time soon.

I am currently with this rom and the only problem has been the bluetooth service, the rest all works perfectly. Best regards.
Note: My service provider is not t-mobile, is Movistar in Colombia.
It will tell you that everything except data works perfectly and that the data is buggy, it says data is buggy on all of the port though soo
The tmobile lg g4 is rolling out its 6.0 update. Hooefully were not far behind.

If you guys look on their webpage and try to click on any of the Update links after clicking on device topic ( /docs/DOC-11935 ) the page is a 404 so i think they are about to Go into Tmobile Testing for the G3
The update page shows it Manufacture Development. On the bright side the G4 went from development to release without the testing stage.
Guys I got the release update information!! According to an AT&T rep the release date is.......... MID July! I know so exciting right??

Sooo miss my Nexus. Will now only purchase Nexus. Sick of being held hostage by ATT and Sammy. Att mostly. Hate iPhones (iOS) but at least Apple doesn't let carriers take advantage of them or their customers.

I hear you android.gt, it's ridiculous that we have to wait months for Samsung/ATT to deliver a simple update. Not to mention all the bloatware that comes with these ATT phones.

It has nothing to do Samsung. Get that part straight as Samsung has released the MM version to all carriers. It's up to the carriers to release their bloated version.

I did it, made a smart switch backup, update via side load, restore backup. There was some re doing of a lot of stuff but I'm running MM.
Honestly, in my opinion MM is better in every regards. I miss weather on the lockscreen and the lock screen swipe effects, but those are a small price to pay for the battery life and performance improvements

I actually got so impatient that I did a smartswitch backup on the computer and sideloaded marshmallow then restored from the backup. It couldn't have gone smoother.
