If rom branding is showing n7100...you are flashing the wrong builds...
N7100 roms are not compatible with the SGH-I317...g

also can i flash it back to gt-n7100 please??? someone can try to find a solution with me?
If your device is N7100...then yes...you can use the stock N7100 rom to repair the device..
Regarding the recovery...you can use TWRP latest version for the N7100 device.
Files can be found in that section on xda...g

Why in first case did you flash a ROm which isn't intended to be for your device?
Well you killed your EFS partition (bricked)
I hope you mad a EFS backup BEFORE you flashed. So you can restore it and all will be fine.
You could try the Stock Firmware via Mobile Odin if it fixes your EFS problem. No Guarantee here, sometimes it dsoes work and sometimes not.
Good luck to you

I believe the reason you are experiencing this issue is because this new firmware you flashed doesn't contain a custom radio and the n7100 firmware did. You will need to find a n7105 radio, flash that through CWM or TWRP and you should be back in business mate.

thanks for everyone...
Would be glad to help you but you seem to have skipped the first rule : read, read, read before you do anything else. You even admitted that this is your first Samsung device, so why did u assume that everything should have been htc like ?
Anyhow, you can try to flash the newest 4.1.2 update for the 7105, even though I fear that your problem is your efs folder, and since this is unique for each device, no flashing any rom will put it back in place.

yah.. i have flash that ROM just now..
but, why my signal is verry in poor level? only showing 2 bar?
im sorry, im not experienced with samsung devices
Since you said that the phone is from Australia and Optus you may want to flash its original firmware back in place :
http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&model=GT-N7105&pcode=OPS&os=1&type=1#firmware
If you do not use the phone in Australia you may want to find a firmware (if available) for your device/geographical region.

I am facing the same problem you had before, however when i try to Odin the stock 4.1.1 firmware back to the phone, it stops at the Samsung logo when restarting. I have to force back to recovery mode to flash the omega back to have it start again. Can you please tell me the steps you did on putting back to stock firmware? thanks
If you haven't yet reflashed the EFS partition (don't do that, ever ! unless you have a good reundant set of backups), you actually don't need to reflash to stock firmware at all (and I doubt that it'd do any good anyways. It just puts back a generic EFS with the files set at default values, but certainly can't put back the data you had in your own device's EFS, this is unique to each phone).
Just head on over to the Galaxy S2 forums and look for a thread called "Restore your IMEI in 9 steps" (something like that. There's actually quite a number of threads describing the same procedure, you can find them by searching "samsung restore imei" in all forums, works just as well).
I had the same problem the other day (and no backup of course, silly and impatient me... ), it worked like a charm..
It's topics like this that i know that People Will get Hurt on. Come on, read and study before doing anything on a smartphone. There's a reason why android doesn't come with administrator rights from factory.

@Bajanman sorry but that guide is useless for the LTE Note 2 variants. Look for guides from the LTE Note 2 or the North American SGS3 as your main starting points to try and solve this. (My T889V LTE guide has some links to those.)
One method I'd like to hear reports about is the reboot nvrestore one, I've seen it discussed mostly on a Verizon SGS3 thread, but nothing IMHO says it wouldn't be relevant for the HSPA/LTE versions either.
Edit: The EFS and other related partitions are of a significantly different layout between the dual-core SGS3 and the LTE Note 2 or GT-I9305. adb reboot nvrestore doesn't seem to do anything on our devices.
Good luck,
Darkshado
hey i didn't find anything...i've heard that there's some custom roms that contains EFs backup that can solve my problem is this true ? if so can anybody give me a link for one of those roms ? thank you
Try to flash with odin the stock rom that you got your note 2 with. It happened to me once where i flashed something and lost my imei. I didnt backup or anything. After i flashed the stock and unrooted my phone my imei reappeared and my phone worked again. BTW it was a att note 2. I found the rom somewhere at this forum. No rom contain you Efs i think(could be wrong) but each phone has it own imei.

i have galaxy S III AT&T which lost the imei after rooting and cwm installation. the full details for the mobile is attached below.
i found many threads for solutions like QPST and Z3X activation box to inject the imei again but my major problem was in both procedures the will not be recognized from the tool due to the DIAG Mode is not enabled...
when i try to enable it with any code like *#9090# or *#0909# and also scripts nothing pop up to enable and according to one good guy here, this issue happen when the imei is lost..
please if any one could fix this issue...help us all because many people need it!!!
one more question which is disturbing me....most of the threads for rooting here does not mention the build number that is capable to apply to !!!! mentioning that i have another SIII at&t which was flashed by friend of mine to:
SGH-I747M stock rom
Build Number : JRO03L.I747MVLDLK4
Jelly Bean: 4.1.1
and i am afraid to flash it back to the stock rom of SGH-I747 ( PDA = I747UCDLK3 ) from sammobile and face the same destiny!!
Please help us guys with every thing i mentioned before...
Why don't you try to ODIN back to stock 4.1.2 and see what happens? No root and stock recovery. I've read where some have gotten their IMEI back by doing that. At the very least, it may cause the diag codes to work. You may need to reroot if you try to re inject it with one of the methods you mentioned.

because most of the time when i try to auto cf root these devices nothing will happen...the device will restart for root and the red droid will show up, then it will stuck in ( cleaning up..... ) and wont go for rooting !!!
i think these devices has a locked bootloader!!!

Yea, now I see there is no tar 4.1.2 to go back to. I think since that's the case, I would connect to Kies with a PC and do an emergency firmware recovery. Hopefully that will fix you up.

Hi guys,
My note 2 is in normally condition with stock 4.4.2 rom N7100XXUFND4.
Yesterday I wanna root it, then did with odin 3.09 + CF-Auto-Root-t03g-t03gxx-gtn7100 then + philz cwm6.
And I've lost imei, no efs and it doesnt recognize simcard
I got a efs.img file backup once, but since when my note2 still at 4.3 (or 4.1.2, cant remember exactly).
So, i've tried all menthols found here, as dr.ketan's aroma efs restore and his multi tools, install EFSFix.zip,... tried via PC and terminal emulator on my note2, but all no result (anyway, thank all devs.)
Im now downloading the stock rom back in order to try to flashing it to my device after unroot (but very slowly coz the international internet cable from Vietnam to outside was corrupted)
Just wanna ask you guys that does this work (flash stock rom can fix all or even when done flash my note2 still lost imei and just can use as a pda, not a pda phone)?
And if you have any flashing ideas, just let me now, I'll try.
Thank you.

First of all let me inform u this is not the section to post . U should try the Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting section.
Now to the problem at hand, if you have CWM, try flashing this Modem_N7100XXUFND3_CWM modem in cwm, I had a similar problem a couple of weeks ago when I downgraded from KK. Hope this works. It worked for me. I dont remember which thread i got it from. It is for 4.3 roms but works with 4.4 as well. All the best
P.S - I am uploading 2 modems. ND3 is for 4.3 but the next one, I think is for 4.4 - not sure. Search for these modems for further details.
Very good DonVito, my phone is back with the first file ND3 :good:.
If you have chance to come here, I will buy you a beer :highfive:.
Thanks a lot.

Hello, everybody. First of all, I apologize if this is not the right place to post this.
I got an Ace 2 about a month ago. It was unlocked and running on Gingerbread. I didn't know anything about Android before and I tried to flash a custom ROM. By doing so, I wiped my IMEI and Baseband. I have tried almost anything that there is on the internet and I haven't been able to recover it. I followed this guide step by step (I even asked for help in that thread, did what I was told, no success).
When I dial *#06# I get an "IMEI null/null" message, and on the device's information, it says "baseband unknown". Since I have no IMEI, I can't access the Service Mode, I only get a blank screen. So I couldn't try that method either.
I am currently running on a stock Jelly Bean downloaded from Sammobile (a Portugal version, since I heard that one and the Russian didn't have any RAM problems). I have tried reinstalling several times, upgrading, and nothing has worked so far. Please help me recover my IMEI and baseband. I don't have the money they charge in my country to fix this. Thanks in advance.

As often said: Custom ROM (CM11) on GB will not work. JB is needed.
I suggest to beginn from scratch by flashing (ODIN) 3-Parted GB FW - Be sure you pick the correct one for your Phone 8160 or 8160P

maybe only modemFS flashing (CWM) will also help (DJM is me on Andriod hilfe)
