Hello guys. I noticed that there is no option to hide apps in apps drawer after upgrading to kitkat. Any solution for this problem? No other launchers I just want default touchwiz. Thanks

You can probably create a folder and banish icons to it. Or see if the Galaxy Launcher on Google Play is close enough.
Has anyone been able to get this working?
When I use the stock "Music" app it just appears as a small widget on the lockscreen and I mainly use Google Play Music on all my devices which the album art shows up fine on my Galaxy S5's lockscreen but I cannot for the life of me get it working on this device.
Don't tell me this is a feature Samsung actually removed from KitKat. -_-
Just checked using Google Play Music and it doesn't show up. Can't seem to find any option to enable it either. I've got the fingerprint lock screen if that matters at all.
I know Samsung removed it from the Tab Pro so I'm assuming they removed it here as well.

I grabbed this tablet due to the screen and I do have to say that I do like the tablet. But I come from mainly Nexus devices and the Moto X and I have to say, all this other UI crap should go away, stock Android handles this stuff better from my perspective. Not sure why Samsung and the like spend so much time overlaying stock Android at this point....oh well, I moved to Nova Launcher but it still doesn't give me my lockscreen art and controls that I'm used to on stock Android.
The lock screen you are missing you are not going to get unless you use a nexus for Google edition device. Unfortunately both Samsung and other custom versions of Android butcher their lock screens and you will not get that beautiful stock album art lock screen with this device.
Just bumping this now that we have root in case anyone is aware of a way we can get this back.
same. I need this, and Netflix lockscreen too. it's just Samsung that does this.. HTC and LG keep these widgets in tact

Is it really lockscreen widget related however? Because my S5 has no lockscreen widgets either but gets the lockscreen album art. There's also an Xposed mod to get the lockscreen widgets back on the S5 but I doubt that will do anything here.
I figured it was. I tried that xposed mod from the s5 and it didn't work ?

Samsung's phones running Kitkat get full screen album art. It's just for tablets for some weird reason Samsung decided to remove it.
Hey guys!
I'm using a german tabpro 8.4 and i'm a little bit disappointed but thats not the point.
Is it possible to disable the magazine function in tw launcher like on galaxy s5?
I tried the tw launcher from new tab s, which works without problems. Its now possible for me to hide apps in app drawer
Yeah i know there tons of different launchers out there but thats not what i'm looking for...
thx in advance
Es tut mir leid. I know you don't want to hear about launchers, but I used the plain "Google Now Launcher" from the Playstore to specifically get that Magazine UX off the Tab Pro 8.4 Homescreen. At least its a more naked Android experience. I just didn't install Google Now, so Google Now doesn't open on the Homescreen like Magazine UX did. Also, if you have apps moved to the SD card, reviewers say that sometimes their Homescreen shortcuts rearrange/disappear upon reboot. I have no apps on SD card so I don't know if its true.
I am currently having a dilemma,
Just bought the 10.1 yesterday t520, and like the widgets, but want to have less Samsung stuff on,
wanting to install C11 on but I want to keep the stock launcher due to the widgets (magazine) etc.
is this possible and how? or am I only able to root and delete manually instead?

Search for "Galaxy Launcher", use that and CM11, it will give you the same look of the home screen.
