Im not sure if this is a known bug.
From the lockscreen im using pattern unlock, tap on emergency call from emergency call page tap either navbar back or the hardware button back and your unlocked to the desktop
Im using the stock lockscreen on zf2 (which sucks coz i cant customize it), nova 4.0.1 launcher.

Not happening with me... I tried doing everything but it returns me to the pattern lock page only... i even tried to see if notification bar/quick settings open up but they don't... I am on Nova launcher prime 3.3
Doesn't do that for me. I also use a pattern and clicking back from the navbar or the back button drops me back to the pattern. I'm on the latest firmware and using Nova Prime 4.0.1.
Unrelated, but I love the Smart Lock option from the Security options in the settings. Allows you to specify safe locations for the screen lock so you don't have to keep unlocking it when at home etc.

Maybe an odd question.
Is it possible to have the slide to unlock screen available if you use a patter to unlock the screen?
I know if you use a pin the slide to unlock still shows.

Not on an aosp rom, no. On a sense rom you can. Just remove the htclockscreen.apk, and you'll be left with the vanilla unlock screen. If you have a pattern enabled, it still comes up after unlocking the slider. (Again, only on a sense rom)

I agree. I like having the lockscreen and pattern unlock. That way I can use music controls on the lockscreen, and still keep my phone locked with the pattern.

I'll see if I can't get it added as a feature request for CM.
Try widget locker. Any widget you can add to the regular home screen can be added to the lock screen, including music controls, etc.
I have mine set up such that all the apps I normally use are available from the lockscreen. This way, don't have to multiple tap to get to them.
Don't mind the duplicate calculators..

Does that cause any lag? When I tried widget locker a long time ago, it lagged. My phone on wake up.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
The only lag I notice is when booting, and possibly the first wakeup after sleep after a reboot. There after, it seems to wake up relatively fast (1/2 second?) Is it an instant wake, no, but I can live with waiting a split moment to have the functionality of not having swipe then tap, or swipe then tap twice to get to something.
Like you, I tried it some months back and thought it was a piece of garbage. I was reluctant to try it again, but got spoiled with CM7's multiple sliders on the lock screen. Having returned back to sense for other reasons, I missed that functionality.

Thanks for the response. I may consider giving it another try.
If you plan on using this with cm7, keep in mind, actual widgets on the lock screen only work with the standard system theme. With other themes, the widgets disappear after a reboot.

It's stupid little bugs like this that annoy the crap out of me. So much for final I can't stand the green, so I just have shortcuts on the lock screen. In fact, I could almost tolerate the green, but it changes the theme of the status bar pull down widget to a light grey instead of a more black.

Yea, I saw that yesterday.
Hi guys,
Being using widget locker for some time now.
When I went into setting>advance >disable screen lock..
Now the phone wakes up with any key making the slide to unlock useless.
All I want to do is to to disable easy lock..but there isn't any option in widget locker nor in phone settings..
Where do I disable easy wake?

Sorry, I'm not exactly sure what you mean.
But, if you go to Settings -> Buttons & Inputs -> Easy Wake Mode, you have the option of enabling/disabling.

Ah, gotcha, I get what you mean now.
Unfortunately, I can't figure it out either. One of the menus in Widgetlocker says it has no control over what buttons wake the device because that is controlled by the Android OS, so it doesn't look like that can be changed.
However, I do recall that in VillainTweaks for VillainRom there is an option for disabling the home button for the lockscreen. I don't know if you're on VillainRom or if that option will work for Widgetlocker or just the stock lockscreen, but that might be helpful.

Is it possible to do so?
I like the double tap screen off feature in LG's software but really hates the default icons. If I use Nova launcher to replace the icons, I will not have the default double tap screen off.
I can still use Nova's double tap gesture to activate a screen off app, however that will not work with the smart (location) unlock feature in lollipop and I will need to enter my pin everytime.
I double tap the status bar in Nova and it still turns off the screen.
I use Nova Launcher combined with Screen Off And Lock. I set Nova's double tap gesture to Screen Off And Lock. Nova with double tap on and off.

I am using that too. But it will instantly lock the screen even if I'm on smart lock mode.
The default icons are among the worst I have seen. Amazing you cannot install icon packs.
Idk what you guys are talking about but I was able to install an icon pack without a third party launcher. Go to settings>home screen>theme

So glad I'm no longer with Verizon.
I just might have to go back to good old proven GO Launcher and then set my OWN icons and get notifier numbers over the app icons and set a slew of other settings. I was hoping to not have to use a launcher just so I could avoid the added layer of a launcher but... no dice with the stock setup.
Long press on icon and you should be able to change them individually.... After the icon is selected with a purple paintbrush, tap it one more time and choose a downloaded icon.

There's no option to have shortcuts on the lockscreen if you are using any type of security lock (pattern, PIN, password). Shortcuts appear with the swipe lock, but people snoop on my phone all the time so I'm not planning to unsecure my phone anytime soon. I was wondering if there was any way to put shortcuts on the lockscreen (maybe with a flashable mod or an app), or if it's simply impossible.
Have you tried using smart lock settings? That's what I've been using.

Ah yes I forgot about that. I had been using my face as a trusted face, but I turned it off because it could never detect me in the one place that I always sit in the house! Having had a think, no one ever snoops on my phone at home, so I've set my home address as a trusted location. One problem though: the shortcuts appear but there's no option in the settings to customise them.

Hi
I use nova launcher prime and am used to a shortcut on my screen to quickly lock the screen instead of using the hardware button to lock the screen. However since I have moved over to p2.. After I press the lock screen shortcut from nova the screen for goes black but the screen isn't locked... It is not till 10 secs later when the screen actually locks
I hate this feature as it stops me from putting the phone into my pocket instantly after locking. How to fix this? I have set up power button to instantly lock the phone after sleep.
It's not P2s problem it's Android's security feature. You'll need root access to instantly lock screen
But from quicktiles there is an icon to do it

Thanks yes i came across that as well... However it is really a total failure on Android part to not have anything built in to allow people to instantly lock... Isn't there any way to put a shortcut to the system icon on my desktop? In stock launcher or otherwise?
Unfortunately looks like Android is going the way of Apple with these silly restrictions becoming more n more common
Well it's a security feature which means they've probably found something wrong with putting a quick lock from 3rd party apps.
Use "Wide touch" found under Setting->Feature. You can assign multiple gesture into it.
