Hi guys,
Being using widget locker for some time now.
When I went into setting>advance >disable screen lock..
Now the phone wakes up with any key making the slide to unlock useless.
All I want to do is to to disable easy lock..but there isn't any option in widget locker nor in phone settings..
Where do I disable easy wake?

Sorry, I'm not exactly sure what you mean.
But, if you go to Settings -> Buttons & Inputs -> Easy Wake Mode, you have the option of enabling/disabling.

Ah, gotcha, I get what you mean now.
Unfortunately, I can't figure it out either. One of the menus in Widgetlocker says it has no control over what buttons wake the device because that is controlled by the Android OS, so it doesn't look like that can be changed.
However, I do recall that in VillainTweaks for VillainRom there is an option for disabling the home button for the lockscreen. I don't know if you're on VillainRom or if that option will work for Widgetlocker or just the stock lockscreen, but that might be helpful.

Hey, thanks for your reply but I didnt get any further .. I dont have the "Allow Home Button" thing checked.. and the site u gave is also telling something about wlock helper but I have no idea where I can find it ;s
When you click your homebutton, check default behaviour, then select WLocker Helper. Then go to Settings, Advanced, HomeHelper and check the 'HomeHelper Block Home' box.
That should do it. Now when you click the home button, your phone won't unlock on Widget Locker.
The site, btw is the dev's FAQ site for Widget Locker.

Yes, especially it is important to select WL HomeHelper as the default after activating HomeHelper.

Hi all.
Been round here for a while now (loved my HD2) and have finally got my SGS II to where I want it.. But I have a really annoying issue I can't seem to get my head round.
I'm running basitas fox hound rom with go launcher and its trimmings.
My problem is this, I love go locker but I'm having issues with the home button unlocking to my desktop...
Kind of defeats the object if having a lockscreen all together..
Its there any way to disable this? I either want it to turn the screen on (ala power burton) or disable it if I have to...
I've been through the settings so many times now I'm going cross eyed lol
Any one with any words of wisdom?...
Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.
(apologies if this is in the wrong area
)
Thanks,
Wow...
Even a "I have the same issue" would of sufficed..
Never mind, just have to make do with the pattern lock then...
Thanks......
No issues here with go locker
Hi,
I use the go locker since I god my SGS2, but my home button doesn't unlock the phone.
Are you sure it's go locker's issue?
Maybe it's a feature of your rom?
Tried lots of roms with go locker all have the same issue, contacted go developers, they are sorting it out in future version
By the way also had an hd2, loved that phone
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Use Jkay ( uncheck double home click action) then enable Go locker.
Go locker will replace Jkay lockscreen and no more home button issue
However, when you restart phone, Jkay will be over Go locker for 1st time; meaning you have to unlock your phone twice. This will happen only after reboot( is ok for me). After that, everything is normal again
Note that after the 1st you lock the phone, its normal that you will see Jkay over Go locker. But after that, everything will OK. Try yourself then you understand what im talking about

if you are on either then you can remove htc lock and weather apps and it would default back to AOSP lock screen which is neat

Hijacking this thread, since you seem to have experience with using this debloater app. When I tried it I couldn't get the stock lock screen while having any password and fingerprint sensor protection. It worked fine with just the swipe to unlock, but if I enabled any secure unlock it would just bypass the lockscreen. Any solutions to this?

whenever you remove htc lockscreen even if the fingerprint scanner it doesn't you would need to set your fp again... thats what we had to do...
security and set fingerprint again...
not sure if debloater does in any other way...

It's still the same for me. If I enable any kind of security (PIN or fp or both) the phone just bypasses the lockscreen. Really weird. Do I have to disable anything else other than the HtcLockScreen.apk?

Open it and type:
su (allow root access)
pm hide com.htc.lockscreen
But it will disable WakeGestures too.
If you want them back check this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/themes/xposed-htc-media-gestures-t3486376/page1
Thanks and with terminal emulator from phone or worked.
But after the reboot it shows no lock screen...I mean...neither the Marshmallow default one, which I thought should be there after disabling HTC lock screen.
So there's really no way to have a STOCK lock screen instead of the HTC one?

Maybe try to disable and re-enable the lockscreen in security settings.

No, I mean, the stock lock screen is there, but isn't showed when I tap on the home screen like with HTC lock screen...the only way to show the stock lock screen is to press the power button... if I touch the home button the phone immediately go to home screen, when fingerprint is recognised...
This is how Nexus/pixel phone works?
If yes...well... everything is normal then...and I've done my job right with terminal...

Ah okay, now I understand what you mean.
This is one advantage of the default lockscreen. Unlocking the phone with fingerprint is much faster.
You have three options:
- Use power button to see the lockscreen
- Use double tap to wake to see the lockscreen (you need xposed for this)
- Use GravityBox. You can change how the lockscreen react after you use the homebutton (unlock the phone directly or just show the lockscreen - you need xposed for this)

For information, double tap to see lock screen...you know the module? I already have xposed with N-Ify module active...
Gravity box i know the module but never installed by now.
I saw that with Nexus 5X works the same, fingerprint unlock immediately, touch the sensor only vibrate (if fingerprint not recognized), power button show lockscreen.

Yeah, I have it set up like that since day one, but I wonder if it's conflicting with MIUI like with LG software where you couldn't unlock with your fingerprint if you used this method. Xiaomi seems to work fine, but I'm still paranoid and would like to use the official lock task.
I am paranoid too... Never noticed a problem ?
★ Home button replacement ★
★ Descriptions ★
Hello folks!
So, while was setting the phone, i discover Motion Launch Gestures.
Well after tried it, I realized that there isn't any double tap to lock/unlock, but only a double tap to see notifications on the lockscreen.
The fact is that I don't like to use always the power button to lock the device
I've tried nova launcher for the double tap to lock feature, but if you use fingerprint to unlock, it request the pin (a security purpose on Android)
So I digged on the web and I found an app that allow you to use fingerprint to lock the phone.
Plus it doesn't require the pin after you unlock with fingerprint.
Let's begin!
★ Requirements ★
These apps don't require a rooted phone
★Instructions★
Download the two apps from Play Store (link below)
doubleHome, to use double tap on fingerprint to turn off the screen (it will show you 2-3 seconds of black screen before the phone lock)
Nougat Quick Settings, to enable power toggle on quick settings, so you don't need to use power button any more
These apps are pretty explanatory itself, so I don't write any "how-to".
Just set right permissions and config as your choice.
I've also enabled "ringtone mode" on quick settings to change vibration on/off.
So I hope you guys enjoy this and feel free to comment any others doubts/tips/tricks!
I know that root/unlock bootloader will make this muuuuch more easier.
But for now i'll keep my phone stock (it's so hard because I see many great devs here ), so i thought to share this to people like me.
Thanks mate! Much appreciated
Useful,thanks for sharing :good:

I've tried nova as well, but then you need to download also a clock widget (the one that comes with theme, that i love so much, doesn't work), plus the free version is limited.
Anyway yes, using a launcher with gesture will do the same

I just found a few options. A lock widget and a floating widget home button (It can save you from sending fingerprints in to the spy agency of your country).
Home floater (also see screenshot) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skyarmy.floatinghomebutton
Screen lock requires to be device administrator
(screen off/put away phone preceding action)

Hi. I had the same dilemma but I found a better way to do the locking the screen without pressing the home button.
I’m sure you guys heard about the app “GREENIFY”. It is actually useful. Well at least for me. It autohibernates apps and it will stop any apps running in the background and will put your phone to sleep. It is now available to non rooted phones so it became handy.
So after you download the app, there is a create shortcut option in the app which will create an icon in your home screen. So if you press the app shortcut, it will sleep and hibernate your phone. Also, it is a great app for saving battery.
Then if you would like to wake your phone up, you can just use the fingerscanner.
I hope it helps.
doubleHome is an amazing app!
Thank you!

I was referring to "Power off/Restart" quick toggle, so you don't have to press the power button fot that.
Anyway that app got updated, and I don't see that toggle anymore (I'm on Oreo)
Oh so, now understand.
And is any solution to turn off vibration when unlocking? I mean without root.

You can turn off that option under "Fingerprint scanner" setting.
On Oreo I have that Don't remember on nougat..
It looks like on Nougat missing that option. And another thing I would like to say: after lock that way my phone after few minutes require again input pin code.. that's bad

If you want to turn your phone off without using the power button, then you can use "edge sense"... It enables you to do so either by short or long squeeze...
